I never liked Blacktron 2 color scheme

That guarded inn looks fantastic! This should become a retro set for Lego to release next year!

I changed the windows in the treehouse and removed all the modern stuff. With the Mountain fortress I added black tiles on the roof because I don’t like stud roofs.For the rest it's perfect as it is. With the Lion Knights castle I added a small tower at the back corner. I had the same problems with pdf : it's hard to see the difference between black and dark brown. For the castle moc I want to add at least one round tower with a cone roof in sand green.I find the technique used in the motorized lighthouse very interesting . And then connect the tower with another tower or wall with a bridge over a river and waterfall. Rivendell and Harry Potter sets gave me some ideas too. I am just in my ideas / sketch fase. Don't have much experience in making mocs. As a kid making castles with wall panels was easy but it was fun.

I am curious as well. The only thing better with the new Eldorado Fortress is the brick build base. For the rest I prefer the old one. It has better doors, no facade office, more yellow and better looking minifigs. The white printing on the new Bluecoats is bad.

Well for me it would. And I am not the only one. First BDP sets had manual instructions like castle in the forrest. And with paper instructions, the resale value will be higher. Buying a BDP set without instructions is like buying a digital game.

Yes, I have the original Caribbean Clipper. No, I didn't change anything. The sails are too small just like the Imperial flagship from 2010. That's why the modern Barracuda is the best Lego sail ship. It has broad sails. Sails can make or break a ship.

Nice to see you have the redcoats imperial flagship. Was in my dark age when that out. Now it's unaffordable. Looks like you already have everything except for the 1989 Bluecoats Caribbean Clipper. And is it that hot over there in Norway?

I did print it out before I got the set. But it was painfully slow. It took hours. So yes I have a fysical manual when I received the set. But I still builded the Mountain Fortress with the app, just for experience. It was not fun. And I really wanted to have a castle for my Black Falcons. In my opinion it's even better then the Lion Knights castle. Displaying both sets side by side on a shelf. It does look very good together. My other factions don't really need a castle. Maybe I will build something myself for them. My Forestmen occupy the Ideas treehouse. They really look good with that set. Someday I am gonna moc my own castle design within 4000 parts. Building a castle is easy. Building a castle within 4000 pieces that also looks good with the parts that are easily available, is very hard. For now I watch a lot of castle mocs to inspire myself. Most mocs are way too big. Lol . Sadbut true I builded a moc from rebrickable with 3 times the previous creator castle in 2022. The result was good but the experience....looking for a brick between 4000+ pieces on my table was absolutely no fun. Very boring and slow tedious process. It took many days..... Never again. I would rather build something myself out of it.

Yeah that sucks about BDP. But I had to get the Mountain Fortress because my Black Falcons need a cool castle. Building digital was not fun so that will probably be my only BDP purchase. I skipped Transsylvania castle because of digital only.

Just looked it up. That Blacktron minifig looks amazing! Printed legs and Blacktron triforce logo on torso. Why didn't they include it in the Renegade remake?!

Well, I wonder that too. But there is a reimagined Blacktron 1 minifig from the CMF line years ago.(Not to be confused with the later Blacktron 2 mutated minifig.) It appears he is not human after all if you remove his hellmet.

I completely agree with you. Licensed themes destroy the revival of the classic themes. That's why we have no Classic pirates, Space, castle, western.... Only an occasional €200+ set aimed at adults nostalgia.

Lego was seen in the movie 'It' but they made a mistake : there were green bricks in a brick build turtle. There were no green bricks at the time period the story of the movie was taken place. Only green baseplates and trees. Certainly no standard green bricks.

The fun thing about building a set is that you don't need a computer or smartphone. Everything is digital now. If Lego decides to abandon physical instructions, then I will quit buying Lego and switch to alternate brick brands completely.

6071 Forestmen rivers crossing never released in Belgium. Why, I don't know. And therefore I never got it It's a cool looking set that reminds me of the fight between Robin Hood and Little John in Robin Hood : Prince of thieves.

1 Lion knights castle ( my favourite theme is castle) 2 pirates of Barracuda bay (brought me back to Lego after a long dark age) 3 Galaxy Explorer (never had the original, was not even born but I did had a lot of classic space) 4 Rivendell (and I am not even a Lord of the Rings fan) I would put BDP Mountain Fortress in it. It's a better looking castle then the LKC. All sets above are displayed in my small brick room together with some alternate brands.

True but the alternate build that is at the Lego building app, is actually good. I was not going to buy the Renegade. So ugly but the alternate build made me buy it. The original Eldorado Fortress looks better,more yellow, better looking gates,doors,a better governers office.... And the most important part : the old bluecoats look more crisp. The white printing is terrible on the new ones. Absolutely no excuse for a premium product from a multinational. Still I have bought it and also own the original. I did wrote a bad review at Lego site but they remove It!

Yes. This one. The helmet and the armor look good for a castle theme. Is it a Knight of Ren? Don't know much about Disney Starwars. For me, they don't exist. I have the 2 trilogies of George Lucas on Bluray. With the redemption of Anakin Skywalker and the death of Palpatine, the story ends well for me. I bought this crown too on PAB for €3 or something. You have paid way too much!
