Well I recieved €10 insider points for my trouble with customer service. Now that's what I call good customer service

Well, you can't compare US with west European countries. It's far more liberal over here. As a kid who grew up with Lego Paradisa, I never saw it as gay. But what you wear should not define what or who you are. I don't care if people think I am gay because I wear speedos. And I don't have problems if people are gay. That's none of my business. It's always the conservatives who talk about 'freedom' that have problems with everything and everyone.

I wear a speedo for lap swimming once a week and I am straight. Speedos are normal in west Europe. It's not even a gay thing. Next month I will become 46 but I have the body of a 20 year old. I have the confidence and the body to wear it. A lot of women love that over here. If tou take care of your body , your body will take care of you when you go old.

I am not so sure. Not everything what Lego makes, is golden. The white printing on the soldiers of the Eldorado Fortress remake is bad while the white printing on the new horse Knights is fantastic. I saw the pictures of Worf and I have the exact thought : the specialized headpiece color is not matching the minifig's skin color. Maybe it is lighting.

I don't see the problem 🤷 In winter times I often go to the sauna/wellness in the Netherlands and Germany....naked. Men,women, and parents with their children are all naked. Some have piercings and or tattoos. It's just natural like the natives in the Amazon rainforest. Children are not shocked by nude tits and genitals . It's actually conservative people who make a problem of it. There was an American YouTube reviewer who complained about the minifigures prize machine because there is a Paradisa guy wearing a speedo.

Looks absolutely fantastic! I think you should try to make the back enclosed that can open up with hinges like in the original. I am not a fan of open back castles.

The sail was not listed in the systems database. That's the reason the operator could not find it. I am just stupid. Seems like the missing sail was sticking to another sail with the same shape exactly. Therefore I saw it as one sail and builded it as one sail. I wrote an apology to customer service but I find it still rude to hang up the phone after not saying something. Now about the ship : I gave it a 9 but I will give it an 8 now. The design is superb and everything works perfect. But I do not like the rubber rigging.It does not look as good as depicted on pictures. I prefer the old skool pre moulded rigging like in Black Seas Barracuda remake. I also don't like it that the triangle sails in the mid and end of the ship are flapping. They are not totally fixed.

I just discovered it because I was breaking the set down. I wrote an apology to Lego customer service. But I still find it rude to just hang up without saying something to me. And yes, I will continuing Lego. Next set I am looking forward too is the Delorean Speed Champions. But I also stay keeping an eye on alternative brands.

I am missing a sail (6540117) from set 10365 (Jack Sparrow piate ship) I mailed Sunday to Lego service : no reply Also the part is not in the digital list for parts of the Black Pearl for missing pieces. So I called Customer service. She couldn't find the part either. I said : download the pdf instructions , it's in the back. I was on the phone for half an hour and then she just hooked up the phone ! I thought Lego was praised for the customer service but this is a absolutely not true. So now I have spend €350 for the Black Pearl on day one that's incomplete and the girl at customer service did not helped me. I will write a terrible review on the Lego site and everywhere on social media. I will quit Lego for good now and buy only alternative brands. Yes their customer service sucks too but at least they are cheap. Bye bye Lego, you lost a customer.

I called Lego customer service 16u30 and she couldn't find the missing part number. After a half hour she hang up. Lego customer service is a disgrace. I will never buy Lego anymore!

Was about to finish the Pearl this evening but I noticed I am missing a sail ( 6540117) I will contact Lego customer service tomorrow.

Finnish is hard. It's not even an Indo-European language . Learning Farsi/Persian or Hindi might be easier. Impressive you managed that. Oh 'man' means 'men' in Dutch. That's allmost the same. A neutral form of you/thou. Ska/skall = zal (Dutch) fanden is related to 'to find out' uit vinden ( Dutch) . According the link you provided. väggen and måla, I don't find words in Dutch and German that are similar. väggen sounds like 'vegen' (to wipe). But I don't see a relation with muur (wall) . måla sounds like malen (tot mix) So maybe mixing paint because you need to mix colors to have other colors. So with that word I see a relation with Dutch If you explain every word, you a can see similarities but it's obvious that nord germanic diversed a long time ago from south germanic (German, Frisian, Dutch)

I had trouble signing in yesterday. Couldn't get inn. Everything is fine now Is this a loose translation ? Because as a native Dutch speaker who also understands German, I don’t understand anything from this sentence. Swedish is a germanic language but I don't recognize any words. man=man? väggen=to swipe ? I do know that some words in Swedish are somewhat similar in Dutch as I have had a Swedish girlfriend a long time ago

Yes I saw it . I still prefer the Barracuda over the Pearl.Still building the Pearl .

Cobi and MegaBloks are more expensive than other alternatives but still slightly cheaper than Lego. Also Cobi has excellent printing that isn't always the case with Lego printing . But I am not a fan of the military theme from Cobi. Another note : back in the days it was easier to make something else from our Lego sets. Today it's harder because there are a lot of different colors build in the set.

It's hard to judge that because as a kid I mostly get my Lego from parents, grandma and a retired godfather with no kids . And they were not rich either. Only today I realize how spoiled I was by getting so much Lego. On 6 December 1989 ( Saint Nicolas day) I received the Black Seas Barracuda, Eldorado Fortress and the Caribbean Clipper ! I don't know who bought what because I believed in Saint Nicolas ( the original real Santa Claus ) back then. So maybe it was Saint Nicolas after all But today I have to pay it myself and with the rise of alternate brick companies that actually also deliver a good quality, it seems that Lego is overpriced. That's why I wait for discount, double points or a good gwp. €350 for the Black Pearl feels overpriced by €50 but the inclusion of the compass and the Sega controller makes it a bit better to swallow . I had put aside €300 a long time ago for the Bluebrixx Queen Anne's Revenge but Lego managed me to spend that money to their new ship. So yes Lego is definitely premium but is it more expensive then ever? ...I don't know.... Their sets get bigger and more detailed

You can buy mine for €20 . But you're in the UK I see. Better search someone overthere if you don't want shipping and custom costs

Ow he did Galaxy Explorer too? Nice! That's also a great set from him. Very underrated. Bought that one at a discount for €80 in 2022. It felt like stealing from Lego buying at that price. Such a shame it didn't do well. If it had a Starwars logo on it , Lego would sell it probably for €150 and it still would sell out.

Now I have 3 sets from him : Lion Knights Castle, Rivendell and now Black Pearl. He is a mastermind. What other sets was he involved with? I cannot imagine the Death Star is one of him.

I have the MocYourBricks version and yes while it's beautiful, the overall shape of the ship is too flat as you mentioned. Today the Lego Pearl will be arriving and I cannot wait to compare both versions. The Lego version is shorter but more accurate. I love your picture. The Barracuda remake still looks fantastic. The Durmstrang is also a beautiful ship.Really underrated. Not a Harry Potter fan at all but I bought this at discount for €100 and now it serves as a Black Falcons ship. I replaced the sticker shields with Black Falcon shields.

I bought the Deku tree at a discount for €240. I have build the two versions of the tree,then broke it down. The half tree is ok at best.Lego Ideas tree house is way better. The minifigs are excellent and high quality. The Zelda and Link minifigs are now displayed in Rivendell. They fit in very well despite it being a different franchise. Arwen and Zelda both standing under the gazebo gossiping who is the bravest and most handsome man ? Link or Aragorn ? Link together with Aragorn on the little bridge discussing how to defeat Sauron and Ganondorf. So yes I bought a set just for its minifigures too but I was not going to pay full price for it. Ocarina of time is still the best game ever made. Or I'm just getting old. Lol

That's an incredible moc ! Finding space is hard. Especially for me. I live in a small apartment. Housing is very expensive over here. I can only display sets that fits in a shelf. Otherwise I would consider buying the gigantic Bluebrixx Blau Stein Castle with all the extensions ( almost 30K pieces! ) But I have no place for such a behemoth.

Agreed ,Rivendell is the perfect size to display for people who don't have dedicated giant Lego rooms

So you're gonna buy it on day one ? I'm just a casual OG Starwars fan. A friend of mine is into Lego Starwars so I can always enjoy watching his collection. The Cantina is the best Starwars set ever made according to him. I will just stick to my favorite themes : castle, pirates and classic space. Lego is expensive enough so I've got to prioritize themes. My opinion on the new Death Star : the individual scenes look good separately but I don't think it works well like they did it now , stacked in a big wheel. I prefer the separate Lego Starwars dioramas over this. From a far it looks like a giant clock. But that's just my opinion. I had the exact same thought ! The seagull looks so much better then that little bird. I will give my Pearl a pearl gold trident and a round metallic shield. Not movie accurate but it looks way more cooler I think. I gave my Barracuda remake yellow satue also a cutlass and a classic shield with yellow clubs. It looks more menacing and elegant at the same time. Sold out at EU Disney shop lol
