Ah well, if nothing comes out that interests me, I will save money. And there are some cool castles I have interest in at BDP. -

Only interested in castle. And a bit of pirates and classic space as well. The themes that made the eighties so great. -

I don't count gwp as a set. And the Majisto workshop was a huge letdown. Did we get large dragon shields, dragon plumes and dragon hellmets? Nope. Don't expect much next year and save yourself from dissapointment. Pokémon will be the next main thing Lego is going to focus on next year. Alongside with Starwars and Harry Potter ofcourse. -

According to local folklore the European oak tree was the hideout for Robin Hood and his merry men. And the oak tree was also a religious symbol in pre Christian times in Celtic Europe. So the trees should be that color for the Forrest men. There is allready a lot of suggestions that Dustmark Keep of BDP series 8 should be the perfect set for the snake faction -

Yup, same here. The Forrestmen minifigs are cool. I really liked them as a kid but the trees.... I never understood back then why they were not brown. It was an available color after all in the eighties. Same applies for the siege weapons. More like dark green /kaki /olive green something -

Yes, the MTS was a bit dissapointing compared to the original leaked pics Best to make the raised baseplate with burps like the motorized lighthouse. That way they save on bricks for the baseplate That's why they are one of my least favourite factions. I also didn't like the black trees for the forrestmen. Now I find them nostalgic and I like them. -

Yes you're right. BDP sucks. Too bad you didn't get what you want. I could not get on the Bricklink site for an hour and a half. And when I could log in, most of the Mountain Fortress was sold. I managed to get one. I could get 2 but I am not a dirty scalper. Those scalpers don't love Lego. They are not contribituing. They are parasites. And yes they are mocs. But very good mocs some of them. I myself can't make such nice things. I am not good at that. So as a big castle fan, I really wanted to get a castle for my Black Falcons that looks superb. But yes it sucks for those who could not het one. I was almost one of them. Looks good. Were is that helmet from? Palpatine :' Now at the end, do you understand...' Vader : 'Resistance is futile my son.' 'If you only knew the power of the castle side!' Yoda : 'Always 2 of them, they are : A knight and his squire. No more, no less.' -

What do you think of the price for the gumball machine? Was going to buy it just for supporting the designer. But now my enthusiasm has been waned....that price. It feels like I am paying for a Starwars set. The new creator castle has been pre order for €99. A good deal. But €170 for the gumball machine...and it looks small . It's just too much. Lego is testing the die hard castle and space fans -

The Blacktron Renegade is retiring at the end of this year. Eldorado Fortress was retiring early. I think there are enough people interested in these classic themes but not enough for Lego to continue. It's licensed themes like Starwars and Harry Potter that make the big money. I think for us castle/pitate/classic space fans it's just gonna be BDP, a CMF figure ,a 3 in 1 set and a spaceman, pirate ,knight here and there. Just like the gumball machine. I don't expect anything for Icons. Keeping my expectations low is best I think. -

Ah, Lord Edmund Blackadder. One of my favourite Brittish comedy shows. I allready mentioned him for the snake knight a couple of days ago or so. Now we need Minifigs for Percy and Balldrick who always has a cunning plan to aid Blackadder from danger. I'm going to use the CMF shepherd for Balldrick. He looks a bit like him. -

The minifig with the red torso and grey pants (the most generic one), represents the designer. -

It was also on Belgian Flemish TV. The designer recieves 10 sets and 1% of the profit. Not being a nationalist but it makes me proud he is from the same provence as me. From Limburg! -

I actually like the Krakens how they are now. And they were only my third favourite with the faction vote. Just above the Bulls. -

Agree. Mountain Fortress is slightly better than Lion knights castle. A lot of people don't like the Mountain Fortress because of the lack of interior inside. That’s easily fixed and you can do it yourself. The designer had a piece limit of 4000 and the LKC had 4500 parts. I think the Mountain Fortress is a piece of art and the best castle ever designed as a set yet. -

I don't know him personally but if would know him , I would buy it from him. Ofcourse I could try to figure out what street he lives but that is considered stalking I think. So to the designer (if you're reading this) . I would like to buy it directly from you. Those would be the perfect BDP finalists -

Oh my god! Those Griffins look sick! The faction I voted for. They use the Hylian shield from the Zelda set. Wow! It looks better than I could imagine. I really hope all those minifigs go on Pab. If not I will be really mad at Lego and might completely stop the hobby. The Krakens look cool too with their Viking helmets. Also love the pirate girl torso! She looks like a captain. There will be cool castle submissions in the near future with BDP. BDP has become my favourite Lego theme. Lol. I think I might also buy the Gumball machine itself. I have €70 insider points and the designer lives in a town a few kilometers from me. I feel the need to support him. What a great day it is today!
