    Agreed with this. The Dragon Master remake in the Majisto GWP was terrible.

    I voted for the Sea Serpent. Hopefully it marks the return of the Black Knights and their large cool looking dragon shields!

    It's like saying that Starwars is science fiction. It's not. ( Ask Geoge Lucas himself).It's a fairy tale/fantasy with a space background. Star trek is science fiction. Lord of the Rings is fantasy as well.The same applies for all those Disney movies . They are fairy tales/fantasy. I'm 100% sure those movies are not categorized as medieval/historical in a video store . They are categorized as fantasy/fairy tale. But sadly ,video stores don't exist anymore.

    Yes ofcourse. A touch magic here and there is fine. Like the ghost in the early nineties. However with the arrival of the Fright Knights in 1997, Lego had gone to far. There were even flying machines (2848 +2539) that were piloted by Basil the bat lord. The sets were ugly too. But that's just my taste. I just grew up without fantasy stuff so that's my preference. Lion Knights, Black Falcons and Forrest People are my favorite factions. So I am always welcoming new factions that are similar. I really like the 2 new factions in the new creator castle set.

    Sleeping beauty and Narnia are not castle. It's a fairytale with a castle in the background. By that definition even Harry Potter is castle. Real castle/ medieval movies are for example : Robin Hood, prince of thieves Robin Hood from Riley Scott Braveheart Kingdoms of heaven The last duel All good movies I like No fantasy bullshido

    The only non castle set I love is the small classic space ship in blue and grey. For the rest I vote only castle as if BDP is the only way to buy Lego castle display sets. I can't wait until the new factions will be available at BDP! And what will the castle fans create for them

    Ok. Oh yes fairies. Completely forgotten about that. So Mr Spock and Legolas are both elves according your definition I thought that elves were some Icelandic folklore/myth. And they live underneath small stacked stones in Iceland. Saw it on a documentary about Iceland. Yes I have seen the lord of the rings and my god, is that first movie boring. 3 hours of walking and talking and than the movie ends. But it is hard to follow if you don't know all that lore and all those species. And the story is....boring as well. Sorry guys I am more into Game of Thrones. The only thing I really liked about Lord of the Rings was Gimly. And those other dwarves. But that was the Hobbit. Sorry if I hurt someone feelings... This is the forum for die hard classic Castle fans. And that's why I voted Griffin knights. Their shield's design screams classic Castle.

    I don't even know what goblins are and I don't know how they are called in Dutch, my native language. Elves are little flying creatures from Peter Pan. But goblins? No idea.

    For me no medieval fantasy. Let's keep it old skool 80ies classic. We allready have Fright Knights and Dragon Masters in the past. Didn't like them. Elves, dwarves, goblins and things, we allready have Lord of the Rings....

    I wonder what the prices in Europe are. The Mountain Fortress was €340 over here instead of $380 in the US. Americans pay higher shipping costs I think. All BDP sets are cheaper in Europe. Two sets exceeded the 4000 pieces limit. How is that possible? I thought it was not allowed to go over 4000 pieces?

    The set looks good. I like this one more than the previous one. It has a living quarter with dining table and a bedroom. The former creator castle only had one chair. The minifigs look good but I am also a little worried about the white printing on the legs. Lego is bad at doing light prints. Except for CMF. The light printing of the recent Dragonborn Paladin is excellent.

    The gumball machine is not a castle set but an Ideas set with also castle minifigs. The name of the factions were shared through catalogues. Nowadays it would be too political to do it it in Belgium. As a kid, it was the first time I came in contact with Flemish nationalism.

    It all depended in what country you lived in. In Belgium ,the Lion Knights were depicted as Flemish and the Black Falcons as supporters to France. And the Forestmen were just called Robin Hood and his men. Black Knights were just Black Knights. Even the names of the castles had different names. Lion Knights castle was called castle Clauwaert in Belgium and in the Netherlands it was called castle Wittemburg.

    We get 4 new factions from LEGO. Horse and Snake from creator set and Griffin and Kraken from Ideas gumball machine Indeed. Lions and eagles/falcons are the most common sigils. So you can use it for whatever you want.

    Black Falcons?! For me they represent the Holy Roman Empire(greater Germany/first Reich) . The biggest empire during medieval times. Lion Knights are English or even Spanish due to colors and sigil. I still did get it but yes , they had cut corners. Unfinished roofs, no Wolfpack shield, stickers and weird color combo : olive green with dark tan.....yikes. Minifigs were great!

    That would be great but I am not optimistic about that. The reason why we get all these new factions and new peasant torso is because that's all we will get. And to offer a nice medieval minifig palette for BDP. I don't think we will get a new castle icons set. Yes it's popular but niche compared to licensed themes. I wonder when we will see pictures of the gumball machine. Voted for Griffins. Isn't that coming out in june ?

    Nice! I am defenitely put him in my Lion Knights castle. The CMF king is in my lore King Richard of the Lion Knights. Blackadder and the Sherrif of Nothingham (tax collector of medieval market square) are teaming up to take over the throne. Even if they succeed there is also Robin Hood who will rebel against this take over. I just like to combine different stories and make things up in my castle lore.
