You guys think that Electric Helmet we saw pictures of goes with this wave, then?

Agents (2008/9) - Villain's Lair
obsidianheart replied to Xyver's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is really good! I love the original Agents stuff, and I'm glad to see their villains (I always call them Infernus, but I guess there's no official name?) get a proper setting! -
Man, I just hope they make that figure so I can get my hands on multiples of his hairpiece.

Lego Harry Potter Hungarian Horntail in 4767 - why so expensive?
obsidianheart replied to Shawn's topic in LEGO Licensed
Pretty sure Smaug will have the same price point going for him a lot faster than the horntail did, too.EDIT: Just looked. $50-ish new. Yup. -
Lego Harry Potter Hungarian Horntail in 4767 - why so expensive?
obsidianheart replied to Shawn's topic in LEGO Licensed
He's got a bunch of stuff going for him to hike up his price: -He's big. -He's made up of a lot of unique molds. -He was in one set only. -He's a character from a hugely popular licensed franchise. Also, if I remember correctly, the year the set was released a lot of people were getting tired of Harry Potter LEGO (I was working toy retail at the time, but I was in a different department). So there wasn't, like, heaps of sets on the shelves or anything (except that boat, tons of those). -
I zoned out: Did we ever figure out what the missing Set Number went to?

This is really neat! I like the lifts and the nets.

2015 The LEGO Movie rumors and discussion

Whoa, is that frowny Emmet head new? I never noticed that before. -
Psst. You're quoting someone other than the person who posted it originally.

Noticed this right away. That'll be huge with the Mixels crowd.

LEGO Ideas: 21110 Research Institute/Female Minifigure Set

Ordered one, finally! -
I did something similar to that! Except mine is not as elegant, and relies on the battery box to be slightly unseated from its rear studs. It's the whole roof piece, though. A fun thing we did, since the train is for my young son, is a stack of transparent clear plates with a trans-clear tile on top, situated over the power light, so he can see when it is on. EDIT: I may give your solution a try, as I think it is quite a bit better!

A thing I noticed on a couple pages back was that in these two pictures, the cultist has the same torso print as the snakeman above or below them. I'm just pointing out that it's a neat visual. (Click for bigger, but not by a lot.)

LEGO Ideas: 21110 Research Institute/Female Minifigure Set
obsidianheart replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Town
I checked the availability on the website here in the States, and it said that due to the overwhelming popularity of the set they were considering more runs. So that's encouraging? There's not a LEGO Store near me (closest one's 2 hours away!) -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Gonna guess that pumpkin mask is for the rumored Spooky Dog Theme. Edit: The Electro Helm reminds me of Dynamo from The Running Man. -

The one-off dude from the smallest first wave set? Did not see that coming. -
Minifigure Gift Set 2014 at Target
obsidianheart replied to just2good's topic in General LEGO Discussion
And the And the new AT-At, but this is the first place I've seen minifigs standing on them. Box says 30 pices, so I wonder who is on the other side(s)? No alternate images on the site. -

Those light bley minifig stands are unusual. -
Pretty sure there's a thread for all that, yeah?

That top post is all in my head? The parts I bolded for emphasis were the only changes I made. I was just pointing out that you were using an example to illustrate your dissatisfaction with a figure that was not actually very comparable to the figures we're seeing here. The question about knowing you can skip stuff you don't like was for everyone, not just you, but you can have it. It's yours now.You can have your echo chamber back. I'll stay out of your conversations. That's how forums work, right?

Hey, thanks for explaining how forums work! You know, since I was asking a question. Which would also be what we do in threads like these.I don't see the cyclops as being much more cartoony than the rest of the figures, but I don't share the same prioritization of mythology. All I'm saying is, there seems to be a lot of complaining about a design that is no more ridiculous than many of the other designs around it, because it is "Medieval Fantasy" or "Cartoony". Hey, that's cool, you're allowed not to like it. But I don't get this thing where you guys feel it is obligated to "make sense" or fall in line with your expectations. That's all.
