Picked up 70166 and 70169 at a Wal-Mart Friday, but the didn't have any of the others on the shelf yet.

I get what he's saying. I was going to make the same point using the S13 King as an example. We got Burger King, and no one really said, "Oh man, another King? We've been getting those in regular themes (because that's what Studios and Monster Fighters were) for decades."And I'm not saying anyone has to like this Series! Never did! You're allowed to hate it, I can't (and won't) stop you! You probably like stuff I don't, too! I'm just saying if you don't like it, cool, but don't deride anyone else's like for it, and don't whine endlessly because it doesn't suit your tastes. That's all I've really asked for in any of the threads I've participated in where that goes on.

Man. I have one of those capes from the first time around, 4 or 5 years ago? Really looking forward to grabbing some of these. I'll have to make sure I have all the colors of Breezy hair and Mullet hair while I'm at it!

This is not a story I ever expected to be made into a MOC, let alone a fantastic series of them. Wonderful Job! After she was captured, they walled her up in a 4-room apartment where she eventually passed away some years later.

Look, I'm not saying no one should dislike the series, and I can easily see how people would feel let down that this is what LEGO is producing instead of their usual mixed-theme series. I skipped out on a couple of series entirely because there weren't any in them that I liked. But I didn't wander into the Series 5 thread and wail about how LEGO was committing an atrocious business decision by doing something I didn't like, and I didn't insinuate that anyone who bought Simpsons Series 1 was possessing bad taste or a child. And I sure as heck didn't do it 3 times a page for 12 pages. We can like and dislike different stuff without being venomous about it, and even though we see ourselves as their lifeblood, LEGO is not restricted to providing for the tastes of a very, very narrow band of their consumer-base. Instead of being upset about how much you're not getting, try thinking of all the money you're saving. Instead of being upset that they didn't make a series you like, maybe think of fun things to do with the ones they already made that you enjoy. Instead of whining about how you don't understand how anyone can like a particular product, maybe talk about the ones you do like. Stop being so whiny and negative! You'd think you wouldn't need to hear that from a guy whose username amounts to "Black Glass Heart", but whatever.

Yeah, I know that it is a discussion forum. And we got the leaks 6 months ahead of release, so obviously we're going to run out of things to discuss while we wait half a year for the release. But I don't think filling page after page with the same 3 or 4 guys endlessly whining about how since they don't like it, LEGO shouldn't make this series is the answer to our discussion problems. I never understand that about this forum. We all love the same hobby for different reasons, but a whole slew of people here feel like the hobby should cater exclusively to how they love it, and anyone who doesn't fall in line is dumb or wrong or not as good a FOL as them. I don't know why I even try to participate in discussions I don't immediately agree with, since it feels like most of you are just looking for an echo chamber.

Don't buy it.You don't have to understand why some people like it, but you probably should accept that some do. I get that a lot of you think this is a bad series (because 3 or 4 of you bring it up at least 5 times per page), but I think it's pretty cool, and this hardline stance that you guys have taken that anyone who likes it is dumb is frustrating. *EDIT: Sorry, I was a little too antagonistic, language-wise. I posted in this thread a little over 2 years ago... My son's going to be 7 soon, and he's gotten into trains. We've taken the lock off the LEGO cabinet (I don't wanna say it was because of the LEGO Movie, but it was because of the LEGO Movie) , and he knows he can get anything out except the bagged WIPs as long as he put it back. Mostly he just leaves it alone, though.
