Very nice as that is my name!
-
Ok, this is more important to you than me. Peace out ...
-
Very nice
-
Are you okay?
-
I'm only trying to voice my concerns to the owners of this site. And I'm rather certain most users here would like to see it continue ... Or do you disagree?
-
True. But if there isn't enough LEGO only stuff here, the forum might fade even more .. It's rather obvious that TLG is not seeing this as the premier SoMe outlet anymore Do you really think this is the right place to argue about that?
-
A lot of words, none of them being "LEGO". This is a LEGO forum, there are tons of forums and other SoMe ways to talk about non-LEGO things I'm not intolerant, I just don't give a flying fvck when I'm on my favourite LEGO forum. I'm here for the bricks, not to push my personal agenda Cheers, Ole

This topic will in no way end well ... or even worse .. end at all! Mods, please shut it down. It's not about LEGO anymore Thanx

Disney LOVES announcing loads of stuff that's not going to happen, like the various SW spin-off movies (D&D + RJ trilogy - none of those are ever going to happen) Mangold is a solid director (loved Le Mans 66), but I want to see a trailer before I believe it'll hit the cinemas next year Casting announcements means very little ...

[MOC] Mammoet PTC-200-DS RIng Crane
1974 replied to Aleh's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very nice! It's actually not a super complex crane (in both the real world and in LEGO), it's just fvcking massive I believe it's shipped in a ton of 40ft containers and those containers are then filled with local earth/sand and used as counterweights. That is just brilliant engineering! -
The film is in "development hell". Allthough sceduled for release next year, it has been postponed several times, so I very much doubt TLG have prelim info, no info = nothing to make sets from And re-releasing those fancy Nazi sets would TOTALLY blow up in TLG's face in todays PC climate Disney sucks donekyballs and a (soft) reboot a´la SW would not work at all No HF = no IJ ... simple as that I find those three IJ films enough for me. The TV-series is not too shabby if not taken too seriously

On several of the earliest Town/Castle sets TLG didn't actually have the male hair ready and used a filed down pigtail hair instead There's a minifig cut in half on the Futuron monorail Black arm on a soldier in 6061 and wrong pants on another soldier in 6067
-
Standard unprinted head, torso, legs and pigtails in black are rather cheap. Please define "black" ..

You're welcome Here's another interesting thing. IDEA Book 222 from 1975, page 23 (25 on peeron) http://peeron.com/scans/222-1/25/ Love the tyre on the priest, NPU
-
Peeron is a bit weird that way, I guess you need to be logged in to view Anyway take a look at page 26 & 27 in IDEA Book 226 (Noah's Ark) and page 28 & 29 in IDEA Book 6000 (a church) Both can be found at peeron.com and here : https://brickset.com/library/ideasbooks

The TLG family itself belongs to a fringe Christian cult, so if they'd ever (and they wont!) make overt religious sets it would be in that direction. And that's pretty far from what's being talked about here Rather silly thread, I think. If you want your fantasy to come true, just MOC it And most christian symbols are of pagan origin anyway. The tree and the bunny are secular symbols and a part of Danish/western culture way beyond any religious meaning Last time TLG did do something straight up christian was the church from the 6000 IDEA Book from 1980 and Noah's Ark from 226 in 1982

Generic Contest Discussion
1974 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is worded somewhat oddly ... Do you mean a studded Technic set into a studless Technic set? If not, there isn't a whole lot of normal System sets that can be build that have the same scale? -
It looks infinitely more boss! Is that a cute little handwinch crane for lowering the sparetyre? Would be easy to MOC. Also, that trans-clear thing on the front, is the airfilter, no? Does that mean it can forge rather deep waters? Would also be easy to MOC with some 4x4 black radar dishes and some clear macaroni bricks (or 3x3 dishes and 98585, but that doesn't come in trans-clear ... maybe some pulleys instead)

Houses would quite often be painted, there are many examples of houses still standing today from the middle ages. Just look at the wikipedia article on "timber framing" : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timber_framing Castles are another issue
-
Oh, that is nice! If only Icould do that with light grey parts

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
1974 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No way some rando youtuber knows anything about deals that runs in the hundreds of millions, even billions in the long run That stuff is lawyered up to eleven, NDAs all over the place. He might have some kinda low level source at TLG that might have heard something or is just speculating to get some of that sweet internet karma but NO WAY would the guys in the suits that make a metric ton of money per annum risk anything for a freaking dumb video on the tube ... Geez, get a grip folks Set/theme leaks about sets are NOT that hard to come by when you DO know somebody in the foodchain simply because so many people are involved. And we all know a number of those fuzzy pics originate from TLG anyway -
However, the colour pallete was rather limited. No blue/purple buildings (the colour of the plaster) and many red/tan buildings (bricks/local stones). Lots of drapes, cloth and flags to offset the boring grantie/limestone as well But it really depends on the location. Rich merchant cities we're way more fancy decorated and had much more interesting architecture Jeremy Irons is restoring a very nice castle back to it's former glory, not grey and boring https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2017/09/inside-kilcoe-castle-jeremy-irons-irish-castle
