And this is another thing! I also think it isn't just Lego deciding on what to make but Disney itself! What large structure or scene could they make other than a castle? A non-castle basically eliminates a lot of locations/ fairy tales. They already had the flop of the remade mermaid. There's already a Snow White cottage. Perhaps Pride Rock? Encanto?

Thanks for the replies! Any suggestions would be very welcome. I think I know about the 1x1 slope technique. I am not 100% sure about the curved slope technique. Yes, matching the blue would be great, but any dark color, I think would work well. Black or dark brown perhaps?

Exciting news that we are possibly getting another Disney D2C! I will hold the rest of my excitement until after we have more information. LOL! in the past, somebody supposedly leaked that we are getting “at least eight“ mini figures in the new Disney castle. And when it finally came out, there were only exactly eight. LOL.

I think there is still a big gap in the suit lineup and there are plenty of unique suits Lego can make.

Is this the most number of new animal moulds we have got in a CMF set? I really like all three of the new animals! I am also quite excited about the idea of that prosthetic hand - I would like Lego to make a right-handed one and I feel it opens up many possibilities for all sorts of energy and mechanical effects (superheroes, for example). Lastly, I cannot believe that the Wolfpack Warrior set is now over USD13 on BL!!! Never bought any CMF from a store but I'm going to have to go to my local Target to hunt them down.

What I would really love to see is another modular (MOC) or maybe even several to populate the 'British street' with at least three structures. I know there are already several MOCs with some nod to the British theme on Rebrickable. Anyway, it would also be interesting what those perennial MOCers would come up with in terms of 'supersizing' this singular set. Not that I would be interested in that. I'd prefer a completely different building as above.

Well, I do not disagree with that. However, I feel that the CMF should feature more 'novel' types. Perhaps they could include a jester or two in an actual set.

3,4, and 7 - Lego has previously released so many witches and wizards. Ditto 10. Lego would have to really differentiate these ones from previous similar characters. I like the idea of 9 and 11! Ah, yes! We have not had a yellow one!

I think the first edition with the anniversary box already sold out? Then they replaced it with the regular box. How long do we expect this to be on the shelves? Lego probably thinks that just because the castle did not sell well, then there is no market out there. LOL And yes, we need more of those supporting characters!

Is there a database out there that accurately classifies legs by descriptions of what color combinations are featured? I am looking for a dual-molded or printed legs part where the hips and upper legs are either black or blue, and the lower parts are brown, if this even exists. Alternatively, blue and black. I am trying to make a MOC'ed minifig of the Disney character Beast. I tried Bricklink but it does not really display everything. Just to show my point, I typed "legs blue black" and I know that there is such legs from Oswald the Rabbit and it did not show up on BL.

I really think it was a missed opportunity on Lego's part when they did not do an actual Sleeping Beauty castle. But maybe some day... I think that particular modified head would have too little contours or features. Not sure how Beast's features would look with it mostly just printed. I see that they used it for both a minidoll and a micro doll. I'm tempted to MOC a Beast minifigure.

Many collectors see value in the CMF characters not as standalone characters but as belonging to the roster of minifigs previously released as CMF and/ or in previous sets. Many also see those CMFs for their useful parts.

I would really love to see a Castle CMF, and perhaps represent all the factions? And yes, we also NEED a Pirates and a City CMF!!!

110% agree!!! It seems as though the turnover of many of the minidoll sets is much quicker than regular minifig sets? At any rate, those minidoll sets were targeted towards a different market. Exactly! Re-make them, geared towards adult nostalgia! Snow White cottage did go on backorder a few days after release, and I believe it's gone on backorder at least once after that.

Disney classics is popular amongst older demographics, as is LOTR (larger sets, in general) is more popular with the original fans who have now grown up. There is obviously a new generation of Disney releases aimed at younger generations. Whether these are popular or not depends on who you ask. Collectors like me are only after the classics. I do not want any reimagined character that I did not grow up with.

Is that Cruella the first minidoll with a cloth trench coat??? If yes, could Lego possibly do this to future minifigs? I know there have been custom-makers of these, but nothing (?) official.

I'm buying this set on day 1. For the survival of the theme. Minifig Disney sets are hard to come by, and perhaps Lego doesn't pay their Disney minifig designers enough (insert sarcasm). I hate for us minifig collectors to keep getting left behind with all those minidolls.
