  1. I prefer placing my Legos in a glass cabinet but with such large sizes, they could only fit on shelves and I have to spend for an expensive acrylic case to protect it from dust.
  2. Random question... Did the Medieval Market (remake) sell as well as the Lion Knight's castle? I am a castle fan and I have yet to buy that Medieval Market.
  3. Is it possible to see any X-man in an upcoming non-X-Men set?
  4. I think so too. Their 'enchanted' forms can always be brick-built with items from BL. LOL Historically, have they ever included an exclusive fig in a GWP? But perhaps the GWP will have some of the brick-built characters in a vignette?
  5. How much did the original 'Unexpected Gathering' set retail? It had 6 minifigs and 5 of them exclusive.
  6. Comparing characters, some have the same head mould, with just different prints. E.g., Maple = Marshall = Poppy; Rosie = Tangy. I think Lego will re-use the heads as much as they can. (With the Sonic line, they are re-using the heads, but with just different mouth prints.
  7. Rivendell was a blockbuster, and I think Lego will milk the hype around it with cheapened sets after set after set.
  8. Sigh. I was actually hoping he would come in a Sentinel build set. Something more substantial than what was included in the mansion.
  9. Just slipping on the Beast head on a minifig makes it look like it has a short neck! LOL If you place a round 1x1 plate on top of the minifig head before slipping it on to it, it gains a bit of height and looks more balanced. Although you get a peek of the fleshie head from the side. But only slightly. I think if the legs are increased just one plate higher, the height is not bad.
  10. More or less, are we looking at possibly getting about 6 new characters across all those sets?
  11. There is a blurry image of what some are describing may be Sunspot torso on reddit. I do hope we get more X-Men!
  12. Just saw that leak. Castle looks substantial. Beast looks like something that you can MOC. You can get a British admiral torso and it will look somewhat similar to that print. Although the bespoke Beast print looks better of course. I think this way, it is more economical for Lego to make Beast in classic minifig proportions. All they need is provide an alternate hair and he can be the prince.. LOL I wonder which other characters we will get? Possibly brick-builds of everyone else?
  13. I agree a bigfig beast would look out of place. Perhaps they could take the long legs and have a slip over figure on it to match Beast's figure?
  14. I think there may be truth to both of these arguments. Of course, I do not have any insider info. But historically, Lego develops many possible sets in parallel and sometimes chooses what it thinks is best to feature depending on how market conditions are and depending on how the set development is going along. Disney, Indiana Jones have suffered some of these of late. Very exciting if we get Minas Tirith or Helm's Deep!
  15. Love the attention to detail, especially the animal 'paintings' on the walls.
  16. Exactly what I was wondering. A new fig in a micro fighter (and perhaps a new mold) sounds too good. Perhaps more sets with him in? (and thank you for not being like other posters who are snide without adding anything to the discussion)
  17. Is the rumored Plo Koon micro fighter going to include a minifig?
  18. I wonder if they will ever make another classic spaceman to include in a CMF? I just realized that there Lego has made a dark orange air tanks, and a dark bluish gray classic motorcycle helmet. I know they have been out there for ages, but I wonder if Lego will ever follow up with classic space torsos for these? Of course they still have to make dark blue air tanks and helmet. I know it took them ages to before they made the green helmet. What color spaceman would you like to see one day? I think anecdotally, Warm Gold may be the winner in the vote, just seeing people's comments on various web sites. But I think the greenish tones are badly needed in the lineup.
  19. YES! and YES! I am really wanting to complete at least some of the basic Greco-Roman gods. I am also hoping to get an equivalent of Glinda, and one that would go well with the rest of the Oz minifigs! (the one from the CMFs, and not the Wicked movie).
  20. The USD1000 set just shows how much confidence Lego has on the Star Wars line, and with all the die-hard fans, I am pretty sure there are many takers out there. But of course Lego has to do the set justice! If a $1000 LOTR set comes out, I'm definitely in. However, I am not quite sure the market is as 'ripe' and as big as the SW theme.
  21. I would like to be hopeful and say that perhaps the reason Lego has held off from making a beast mini figure is because they cannot do justice to it with the current mini fig parts. Wishful thinking. But at the end of the day, Lego tends to skimp, unless it is Star Wars. Sigh. I wonder how close to reality is the rumor that there is a big D2C coming and it may be beauty and the beast – based. (then it turns out something completely different).
  22. Now I found the reason why we won't have Lego Pokemon any time soon. :(
  23. I felt like Rivendell was really a tough act to follow. Great aesthetic and structure to the building, with an excellent minifig lineup. Barad-dur was great, too, although I was wanting more minifigs. It will be interesting how Lego will pull off this 'repeat' (in terms of concept, since we had a Bag End some time back.
  24. Will it possibly look good if Thing had the Avatar long arms and legs? …maybe not! Lol
  25. (I posted that question not only for my own information but for others as well.) There does not seem to be a cabinet with glass doors out there that is deep enough for a modular and at least a single lane street. Perhaps there is an Ikea solution? Anyway, will send you a more detailed private message shortly.
