  1. Excellent work!
  2. I remember reading/ watching somewhere when they interviewed a Lego designer and it seemed that Lego was proactively helping Disney push that agenda. LOL I agree with you. Lego should tell stories true to its origins. People want classics. Moving on... I tried to make a Beast minifig MOC by using the animal legs from the CMF Faun. I used the torso from one of the pirates' admiral. Even though the animal legs are the same 'size' as regular legs, they look puny when the torso has the minidoll Beast head! So perhaps Lego wasn't just lazy in this case when they made the BATB castle in giving Beast a regular leg. Although I argue that they should have made him in a bespoke mold and not a mish-mash of existing parts.
  3. Apparently, that controversial Snow White movie will be showing this month. I'm glad Lego released the cottage way ahead of it so it doesn't suffer the negative reputation! LOL
  4. My biggest disappointment in this set is the fact that there are so many side builds - I wish there were a unifying base or layout. I can't wait til the regular MOCers on RB start doing that.
  5. Love it! It captures the scenery well without being too big.
  6. Looks nice. Not grand or majestic. Just good. I'm pretty sure a lot of people got what they wished for with this smaller set.
  7. The mini doll beast head sits perfectly well in that version, but on the mini figure, it sits too low. This goes back to what @JeanGreyForeverwas saying that Lego does not put much love into their Disney mini figures.
  8. Lego is counting some of the brick built characters as “mini figures“, but others not? Wardrobe and the chef are not counted in the character lineup? Maybe because they are built into the structure of the castle?
  9. Ordered my Lilo and Stitch House... gotta support the line, but also I'm a minifig collector. I'm pretty sure some fan will MOC it on Rebrickable to come up with a 'better' set.
  10. I'd like to see a rhinoceros!
  11. How many more Endgame Final Battle sets are we going to get? The minifigs are all beginning to look the same. I wish Lego would throw in some odd comic-based versions of some characters.
  12. Wondering about the same thing, too! I wonder which minifig set they’ll release next??? I’m Thinking that they cannot release another castle? There will be too many castles all at the same time. Lol. Currently, we have snow White cottage, Lilo house, and then this beauty and the beast castle, with a regular Disney castle as well. So this lineup is not quite competing with each other. Maybe the Encanto house next? Wait, sleeping beauty still doesn’t have a prince! We were supposed to get the maleficent dragon set, but they made that a mini doll set instead! But she is the only other major princess that has not gotten any highlight, other than that Microcastle set.
  13. It’s fine, guys! At this price point, the set is affordable, and if it sells well, it will encourage Lego to make more of these kind of sets in the future. For those who want a larger set, you can probably just buy two of these, and wait for somebody to MOC it on Rebrickable! 😂 Right?
  14. Ok, now I see him! …now I just wish they included the animal legs.
  15. Day one purchase for me! If I were to complain, I would have preferred to get beast with ‘animal’ legs, and an alternate form as the Prince. (Or maybe we’ll get a future set with villager Belle and the Prince?)
  16. So we got the Lilo and Stitch house, then the BATB castle. Are we expecting any other minifig sets this year?
  17. It's been a regular cycle that there is a back-and-forth post on this forum about whether the LOTR line should be a once-a-year expensive large set or a tranche of small sets each year. Perhaps Lego's preliminary calculations and data point to a singular expensive set as the best way to recoup development costs? But perhaps now they are trying something different with two sets this year, both being relatively less expensive. Over at the Marvel and SW boards, people are complaining at how expensive some of these smaller sets are - smaller piece counts, less minifigs for a higher-than-expected price. They are often not wrong. Will smaller and more sets mean cheaper prints and many more repeats on the figs? Will larger sets mean a greater selection of figs? Honestly, I could not care less if they go either way, as long as Lego makes an awesome final product.
  18. Been wondering about that, too! They already make those distinctions in the Friends/ minidolls line.
  19. If there is any other set from an IP that I collect, with a price tag of $1k, I would also expect 40 minifigs. Bespoke heads and prints. Count me in.
  20. Usually Lego minifig books are available on Amazon in advance. How come the upcoming Explore the Spider-verse isn't? The only available option is the kindle version, obviously without the exclusive minifig.
  21. I love the DnD series too, even though I do not play that game! LOL. Do they really have just different faces for the genders, and the hair and head gear are the same between male and female? Truly asking.
  22. Hmmm... what if Lego did a CMF series with only human-form or commoner outfits of the princesses and other characters across the different fairy tales? Belle, Aurora, etc, Unlikely though! Better yet, some small sets depicting village vignettes.
  23. I prefer placing my Legos in a glass cabinet but with such large sizes, they could only fit on shelves and I have to spend for an expensive acrylic case to protect it from dust.
  24. Random question... Did the Medieval Market (remake) sell as well as the Lion Knight's castle? I am a castle fan and I have yet to buy that Medieval Market.
