I have now split it up. Thank you for the advice, and I will repost an enhanced second part of the build soon.
-
Thank you. I built this to end-up on Devaron. The amount of detail in the second build as a whole is close to the first part of the build, simply for better photographs I didn't include much else in this post. I also wasn't sure which planets would be best for the first part of the build, so I attempted to make the Tatooine scenes looks more forested and closer to Devaron. I was going to change the storyline so the first part of the build could've also been on Devaron , but then I wanted to avoid trying to alter Devaron landscape to be something its not. Perhaps I might separate it into two builds, I'll just check which other planets the first part will suit beforehand.

Solely in terms of set offering (not Lego associated media): I think Lego made a mistake sort of recently when they released the wedding set and Lego wedding bride and groom brickheadz, as it explicitly threw 'non-LGBTI' customs at consumers. There is nothing wrong with that, but by doing so, it destroyed (outside of licenced themes) the lack of anything related to romance or marriage (besides the Parisian restaurant but I don't think it would count). There was a discussion on the city forum about the benefits of minifigures being yellow, as, while probably meant to originally represent white, shows no racial inclination. This means anyone can use minifigures but all minifigures are the same, so no ethnicity or group is excluded. Inclusivity is hard to represent unless it is obvious, such as the recent trend of minifgures with different physical capabilities. I am all for inclusivity in sets and if it doesn't impact the set or build (which I don't think it would), I see no issue personally. What Lego will do is different though. They will do what they see best for their business. Including diversity is difficult because it is difficult to depict everyone in a sensitive and respectful way in a limited number of sets, and I think it would be a step backwards if sets depict diversity in a tokenistic or stereotypical way. I can think of a lot of subtle and respectful ways Lego could show this sort diversity in its products, however to avoid being hypocritical (in terms of stereotyping) I won't list them here. I don't think family friendliness would be impacted, and if such inclusions are done in a way that is offensive to families then I anticipate it would be equally offensive to, and stereotypical of, LGBTQI people. But I agree in a way that not including such references in sets may be better in the end, they should just stop selling bride and groom sets which alienate other groups.

That is a great builds and a great story to go along with it. I really like the leg positions on the minifigure. It is a great way of achieving different poses with the relatively geometric shapes of a minifigure, and the detail with the cheese slopes on the ground below it is very well done.

Thank you, it is great to be part of Factions.

I wouldn’t say an unwritten rule exists, as if it did this thread and many others like it wouldn’t exist either. I know a lot of people are very protective of LEGO, but I would say that this is attributable to the fact that there are many different groups of fans wanting different things. Due the nature of LEGO’s product lineup, when some consumers want more of something, others see it as having to come at the expense of something else. This means that some will become protective of LEGO to defend their set interests, with the argument ‘LEGO can’t please everyone’ becoming common. While many including myself would be guilty of this, I wouldn’t say it is unhealthy. Likewise, if some people don’t wish to criticise TLG that is fine, if they like the lineup of sets and everything else about LEGO that is perfectly acceptable and I wouldn’t say it should be viewed negatively.

*Your entry has earned 13 XP* Hi all, this is my first post on factions, please let me know if I have titled this incorrectly. This is my introduction for my character, Stu. He grew up on Mos Greebla, a small settlement on the banks of Dune Sea of Tatooine, during teh early Imperial era. This place is located on the equator and is shielded by a mountain range, meaning the few monsoonal rainclouds are caught here, meaning it has moderate rainfall at some points of the year. This allows a few (planted) trees to grow. Because of the "idyllic" (by Tatooinian standards) scenery, it was a place where many traders on sand-skiffs would stop on crossings of the Dune Sea. Stu had a job trying to peddle dehydrated water to gullible passing traders. Mos Greebla was a unique place, and trade wasn't easy. Imperial forces would patrol the planet, as it was a place where many Confederacy of Independent Systems members sought refuge. Again, I must stress, it was very unique place. We're still not sure what this local is doing. Passing business also included travellers. . . And Imperial forces. . . As well as traders. It was bustling little outpost. Though it was lonely. And at first chance, Stu left Tatooine to join the rebellion military, training as a medical technician, before joining Corellian Security following the proclamation of the New Republic. Additional photos: Thank you for viewing and comments and ideas welcome.

I do wish that I had purchased the 2017 RO battlepacks when they were available. I much prefer the older stormtrooper helmets too, since the new ones will be disruptive if placed next to the jumptroopers or shocktroopers, of which I have more. I may attempt to acquire the ITT to build up my imperial collection, though I wish that it will included one more imperial figure to make it better value. That starfighter looks good and your collection of 501st troopers looks impressive.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion

I got the gold one from the family house set. It is a great mould and I hope we get one in black soon, in which case I could justify getting the brown one so I can have all three. -

I think was mentioned earlier on this forum from memory (apologies if I have gotten confused and saw it somewhere else), around the same time the 2hy sets leaked. I think the person who posted it said it was from instagram. I didn't see the actual source but recall what was said in the post. I cannot say whether it was true nor am I even sure of it myself, and I certainly don't want to create a false rumour, since I cannot be sure of the validity of the comment. -
Where exactly are you going to put all of them, 2700 sets, even small sets, would take up a lot of room? You must have a big garage or spare room. But congratulations on your purchase and I hope your investment works out.

I recall this was mentioned earlier in this thread, but I cannot remember whether it was either a rumour or just a suggestion, though I believe it was speculated their would be a child Anakin and adult Anakin, desert Luke and ROTJ Luke and a TFA Rey and a TROS Rey. Also, on another note, the Razor Crest was back in stock at my local Target, and there were multiple copies. Its the first time I've ever seen one in a store. And Happy Easter to all. -

The cargo train has been on sale quite a lot too, lately nearing or below the $200 mark at places other than Lego -
I’d say that is probably one of the most unpopular opinions of all, but that is what this forum is for. Although I disagree, it is interesting to have that perspective shared, since appreciation for minifigures seemed unanimous. I must mirror your sticker opinion though, while I prefer printed parts I do enjoy the feeling of achievement when I place a difficult sticker perfectly on a piece. My biggest hatred is clear stickers, especially the AT hauler windshield, they get bubbles underneath and little bits of dust and hair show up underneath. I agree entirely, in relation to the buildings. The Tuning Garage was in my opinion the best city building since the Town and City centre sets, and the 2021 sets were great, and could be easily extended or modified.

I think the advent calendar figures were rumoured as Anakin, Luke and Rey in two variants each, but I cannot be sure and Boba Fett seems likely as a candidate for a Christmas figure. -
I only visit this forum once every couple of days, simply because I don’t post here or comment much, but I agree it is a great place for MOCs, technic may get more exposure, but models on this forum remain on the first page for much longer than those on technic, not because no one posts, but because of lower volumes of Mocs and these threads commonly get to multiple pages or have many comments and constructive discussion (while technic does too). This above moc is a great example of this, it is an amazing Moc and very well detailed and highly accurate. The fact it retains so many technic functions is spectacular and the trailer is just as stunning as the tractor aesthetically, and together they are incredible, I’d say one of the best tractor or agricultural Mocs of any kind, whether they be scale models, technic or town, and regardless of forum it is an amazing build.

[MOC] Palpatine's CSS-1 Star Shuttle (from Episode 1)
Stuartn replied to Graupensuppe's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That’s a great build, I don’t think I have ever seen a version of this ship in LEGO form, and the engines contrasting with clean surfaces of the ship work very well. The use of the spartan helmet for the guard and it makes it frustrating we haven’t had the figure yet when an accurate piece is available. -
That looks great, the swivelling function of the canons is brilliant, and a great way of adding function to a TIE moc, which is hard to do. The cockpit appears well detailed and the insertion method for the pilot is great. I really like the engine design and the circular details behind the cannon is spectacular.

Great. I didn't have much interest in this set anyway, but if TLG do not include the helmets, it would be nonsensical. Considering the amount of pointless single use moulds in lacklustre sequel and Solo sets, it would seem odd that this set, which would surely sell like hotcakes, would not include them, especially when they could have just recycled older helmet pieces for three, and used two inaccurate pieces for the others. -

Actually that was 60132, not 60312, but I think it is an April fools -
That was what I thought too. They were great when they were introduced, and I don't mind them continuing to make appearances, but I dislike when they are in more sophisticated sets like the Tantive IV set and I really dislike their use in City fire sets.

I am not familiar with the comics either, but I don’t think TLG would allow what would be a set to be leaked in such a way. It could be some prototype that never become a set. I as well would love nothing more than to be proved incorrect. -
