  1. Oh OK, I guess that's what I get for not being on Twitter. Thanks!
  2. I agree. The higher the availability of the minifigs, the less I expect to pay on the aftermarket.
  3. If TLG is still listening to this topic, please keep the food suits coming!! Pretty much anything possible you can come up with is something that will very likely be very popular.
  4. Yup, that was it, exactly! Thanks for the reply! I really hope that the project takes off and that we see a lot of people with this kit. Can't wait to see the MOCs that people could do with this. It's not entirely clear to me from the pics and video: does this support upside down turns? If not, are you guys considering doing so in the future?
  5. Well, isn't the iron man going to have the classic look? Or am I mistaking this with a different set?
  6. At what time is the promotion likely to start on Shop at home?
  7. That's a very interesting solution! Thanks for the explanation. Well, I don't know how much interruption this mechanism causes you, but something else I did in college to achieve rotation in a constant direction was use two one-way bearings and a couple of gears. Implementing one way bearings in Lego, though, is probably not too trivial, and could probably only be replaced by a clutch gear with a pin that only lets it rotate in a single direction. However, if you're willing to accept non-purist solutions, one-way bearings will provide a clean alternative solution.
  8. If you do, would you post a review of some sorts? I'm terribly curious as to how well this works. I guess my main complaint is that it doesn't seem to give you the ability of building individual cars for the roller coaster with multiple wheels, because each rigid section is too short. That would enable people making more highly decorated cars. Hopefully such a piece will be included in the future!
  9. That looks great! Have those tires ever been produced in blue?
  10. Thanks! It would look amazing if someone managed to mod the train so that the tree has glowing lights while turning. That would be perfect!
  11. Yeah, I guess I can only think of them articulating the legs separately. That would be nice, but with the flimsiness of battle droid legs, perhaps ill-advised.
  12. I really wish Lego had invested more in new molds for Detroit Steel. Oh well, I'll reserve final judgement until more pics surface.
  13. Maybe they'll be announced the day of? Hopefully that means less crazy demand!
  14. How did I miss that? Another possibility is a donut suit guy. I'd put it in my list, but I already guessed Pizza suit guy.
  15. That's an interesting difference that you're pointing out, but I would still expect kids to get keychains, even if only to put on their backpacks.
  16. You can now pre-order the story pack.
  17. Well, some of those fill gaps in the Lego collection. But "Red Lightsaber"?
  18. Sure, but I guess the question is what would they do if Lego asked them to do something.
  19. I imagine some people would rather want the set for display than for the functions.
  20. That makes it clear for the rest of us. Thanks!
  21. Disney has a much bigger character gallery than The Simpsons, plus it is my impression that they have a lot more popular characters. I expect Lego to take that into consideration as well.
  22. That droid is looking increasingly better.
  23. Wouldn't it be neat if they included this storyline in the movie?
