Shipping prices on Bricklink
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to harrypotterstarwarsfan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It helps in a few cases, I guess, but most sellers that are willing to provide clarification on shipping costs and fees on a quote, would have already done so in the splash page. -

LEGO Dimensions Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
It's OK, it's not like we're getting that many Batmen. By the way, I hadn't caught that promotional video for ET. Really liking it! -

That would be sad... Can't say I would personally regret it, though. -

One time, I asked for a quote, the guy took forever to reply, and the quote was canceled. When I sent him a message a few days later asking him if he was still interested in selling the items, he said he thought I canceled the quote, and that in the meantime the items had already been sold!!!! -
Can you elaborate on this? If the linear motion is alternating, how do you convert the alternating rotating motion to a one-directional rotation? You said part of it is a rack and pinion, right?

That is one beautiful engine!! I'm also jealous of your setup. I don't really have space to display my trains. Keep us posted! -

I have very fond memories of this film. The builds you have made are comprehensive and impressive. They remind me of Rock Raiders. -

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I believe some things happen here as a result of a good relationship with TLG (Whitefang receiving boxes of CMFs to review, petitions through the ambassador program). I wouldn't blame EB for trying to keep that. -

95% of my collection is not with me, and I also have a backlog of sets without assembling... -
Wait, what do you mean C-3PO from the 80's? Anyways, I agree with the OP. I've been dying to get a chrome R2, and an updated chrome 3PO. Lego, I hope you're planning something!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Considering the package said "exclusive", I'm pretty sure they're different, probably because of the facial expressions. -
Most likely my parents or my grandma. I started with some little sets and a couple of decades later my collection grew considerably!

Flexo - Bendable, bouncy, flexible building bricks!
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Imanol BB's topic in Community
There was an interesting discussion of this on Brickset. Apparently Lego has already considered these kinds of elements. Personally, I don't see them being dynamic enough to have a high enough demand, but let's wait and see what happens. -
