  1. So they more than likely will not use the newly molded elements for the CMF, or include leg or arm printing. So weaker variants that could have easily been replaced by new characters. We should have gotten Jean Grey and Gambit instead of Wolverine and Storm in the X Jet. Wolverine was available in a $15 last year, a $5 figure this year, and eventually the Mansion. That just emphasizes how disappointing this figure lineup is. Because precedence shows we can anticipate weaker variants in the set. Neither Jean nor Gambit require new moulds :/
  2. If the rumors for the X Jet and Mansion are true, Beast and Professor X are the only new X Men being produced this year. Between 3 figs in the cmf, 4 in the jet and 9 in the mansion, a total of 16 figures, we are getting only 2 new heroes. One of which is the easiest to make a purist of they more than likely will not produce any new print for Charles who is not even a member of the current team. Lego thinks X Men won’t sell without Wolverine but Shang Chi and Eternals can get their own wave? I want to not complain but also woww this is the worst rumor I have ever heard lol
  3. So that comic fans like me don’t look crazy when we ask for more comic based content. /s
  4. I’m curious if there is any way to petition to Lego to “bring this theme back”? Is there any way to really communicate to designers how disappointed we are? I get (and resent) how the failure of the DCCU has tarnished the ability for DC to market its characters in media and merchandising at the level that Marcel can. But, there is still hope to find success on a smaller scale. This is part of a much larger topic about how failure at leadership has sunk DC in the past decade, but how companies like Lego handle their merchandise still plays a major role. With Young Justice being an exemption (one with many of its own flaws mind you), JLA and TTG have solidified DC’s modern animated series as overtly childish, lacking in substance and direction. Focused on episodic stories that give little character development (at least in the way of JLA I won’t say much about TTG in that regard) or just far too much toddler-esque humor, the days of serious world building with stakes and character dynamics and growth of JLU are long gone. Despite reruns that is. So on the animated front we get shows that likely won’t build the kind of investment that shows of my childhood may have established in me. Then the movies are horrendous on a scale I thought most studios left behind in the 90s. So Lego not doing much for this theme makes sense but I also feel it makes the issue worse. Because that makes Marvel superior in every single way. Cinematic, animated series, and merchandising such as toys, they have a presence that DC simply does not. I cannot describe how sad the recent handling of DC comics has made me. I truly wish they would choose to just innovate a bit with the content. Give the DC universe a presence , if no where else, on toy shelves. The recent Barbie movie is a testament to the influence of toys on society, and if the movies or shows aren’t getting the next generation of consumers and artists hooked on the DC Universe, toys may be that final frontier. So if I were someone working at DC merchandise I’d look at Lego and have a discussion about what practical ways new content can be created. I would understand the value of toys to kids and say hey if we’re going to have this License agreement we need to do something with it and have a presence. Especially when they’re being scrutinized on every regard it is ludicrous to throw the towel and say hey lets just not make Lego toys and lose our presence in every angle! What a ridiculous sentiment, I would push for Lego to either drop the license or make the most of it if I worked for DC. Long term the decisions Warner Bros and DC are taking and have taken lately, will have really bad consequences on their legacy. Its really bad.
  5. Thats hysterical. I wish Lego normalized arm printing for this theme and gave every figure who needs arm and leg printing the attention they deserve. Same with newly moulded head or hair pieces. I felt Goblin could have had a shimmer effect to his printing, needed leg and arm printing and it would have been a cherry on top to get that helmet. Doc oc was the wrong color, they gave Electro a reused pant piece when he very well could have had new leg printing given the source material, etc. pair that with the sub par build and I find that final battle set to be extremely underwhelming altogether. If indeed Storm is not in the X Jet I pray we get Jean. Still lame we only get 4 figures. What could have driven the price up? Lol what if it does indeed turn out tk be a 4+ set..
  6. I know this is off topic but calling the Series 15 Satyr a Capricorn was a bit confusing and also hilarious to me. I actually would love for a Capricorn figure with half goat legs half fish tail that sounds genius. Back to Marvel though…. Yikes. I remember people complaining that the X Men were wastes of cmf slots. I disagreed then as I assumed Lego would be smart and use the other 2 sets to introduce other characters. But seeing how things played out that ended up being a valid criticism. Why on Earth did Lego choose to repeat Storm and Wolverine in the cmf and both sets? I suppose I wouldn’t mind if we got a molded Tiara and hair piece for her in the X Jet but lets be real who thinks thats going to happen? Not only is that based off her original costume and not the Jim Lee look, they probably wouldn’t give her the mould even if it was for the given look. That blue and yellow costume someone posted earlier would only be used I feel, if Cyclops and Wolverine alls bad their Uncanny X Men 275th issue special looks, which they are most likely not. Which means she more than likely will have the white 90s look with no leg printing and either the same hair piece or the tussled white hair piece from the Ghostbusters set. Which is so lame. We are almost guaranteed to get a lesser version of Storm in the set. plus its over priced for the part to piece ratio? I mean come on this is the worst rumor we have ever heard for this theme in a while. An overpriced set with no new characters is so not what the X Men deserve. I refer to what I said before that Lego has half a**ed X Men content repeatedly. I theorize that Lego designers only really care about Spiderman and the Avengers because that seems to be the only characters they give worthy sets to. DC heroes and the X Men consistently get low effort figures and builds it seems to speak to me at least about which characters the designers enjoy working with. Such a shame. Should have been Magneto, Cyclops, Jean and Gambit. NONE of those need new moulds. Does Lego think X Men sets won’t sell without Wolverine? Ridiculous coming from the company that made sets for Shang Chi and the Eternals. But Cyclops Jean and Magneto aren’t popular enough to carry their own set? If the rumor for the X Jet and Mansion are true then we are not getting a Jean Grey figure this year and honestly that is a HUUUUUGEEE disappointment for me and I’ll refrain from saying more because I don’t want to whine but like, agh how could they mess up an X Men wave this bad? I pray the rumors are false. Because how on Earth are Professor X (who’s not set to be in the new show?) and Beast the only new X Men we’re slated to get this year? !
  7. Okay so here is what I will say. I agree that Indigenous communities can be represented not just in classic Western settings, but in modern, Eastern and standalone settings (like perhaps.. a CMF figure with no builds besides the figure itself!!). The fact of the matter is when you’re so upset by any attempts to depict Native American figures, the company may choose to just avoid them altogether. Is this what anyone wants? I would hope not. So the question I feel turns to, how do we depict them respectfully. I agree with @SamVimes that choosing to have Cowboys and Natives frolic in the meadows is a bit disingenuous and revisionist. I suggest sets where its just natives and canoes, or encampments, or farmers sets where its Native figures growing corn and such to depict historically relevant and respectful imagery for these cultures. I think due to the touchy history cowboys should just not be in a set with natives at all. But if you’re too offended by natives canoeing and farming and appearing in cmf figures just representing for their people, then it almost sounds like you don’t want us to get native figures. Which would leave them excluded because like it or not Lego IS depicting other cultures in their sets. Like it or not we HAVE Chinese New Year sets, we have classic Viking sets and cmf figures, same for some Pacific Islander figures (classic pirates and modern cmf figures), we’ve gotten Kabuki girls (CMF Series 4), Bavarian girl/boy and so on. Like it or not Lego depicting various cultures has been happening and likely will continue. As it should! I hope everyone gets a figure that speaks to them eventually But if we can’t depict Natives just existing in a cmf figure, and we can’t depict them just living their life in a set, no arrows, no stereotypes, no war just simply natives existing in a set or a figure, if all that really bothers you then we end up unable to get Natives at all due to them being seen as an extremely touchy subject. And in a way, this kind of contributes to the “erasing” of their culture. Thats all I’m gonna say for now but I think this discussion is important. Thanks everyone for being civil so far :)
  8. Allow me to rephrase my sentiment. The historical inaccuracy was more so aimed at the helmets. I do have issues with the coloring, but that should have been expressed in a completely different sentence. I would have preferred they been given the cmf Viking helmet from Series 20 figure, as that incorporates more smoothly with the colorful fabrics. Its a personal taste preference but I feel the horned helmets look better on black and beige figures even if its more accurate that they be colorful, I just prefer to display my horned vikings with more muted colors. The cmf figure had browns, greens and blues and I feel these colors incorporate well. I have reviewed the images again and its only the male viking with greens, reddish browns and darker greens whose color scheme I think looks ridiculous with his helmet. But I will say I’ve grown to enjoy the other the girls and the “main” green and beige viking looks amazing Still not into the male viking with green, brown and darker green. But yeah once again I was more so referring to the helmets when I mentioned accuracy, the color criticism was worded poorly on my end and again should have been elaborated on. Horned helmets in my mind go with muted colors and the newer helmet pairs better with the colorful patterns these figures got. So I meant to say if we’re going to get colorful vikings, I don’t think it should have been paired with these helmets. But that really only translates on swapping helmets for one figure or giving him different legs, as only two figures in this set have helmets anyways.
  9. My bad I forgot Wasp was not in that set! Well, as a figure that is I get she had a micro figure but yeah you’re right she was not a mini figure. I also don’t actually care about Valkyrie enough to demand leg print for her lol I think I just had Wasp in my mind because of the recent figure leak. Lol
  10. Love this set not a huge fan of the figures. I wish they were historically accurate or at the lest did not have such obnoxious coloring. I’d like for them to all wear brown and tan shades but if you’re gonna have splashes of green or red in their clothing I wish it was better incorporated. While the set itself is lovely I gotta be honest I think most of these figures are eyesores and I plan on replacing them in the display itself.
  11. My exact sentiments. I don’t care about the practical reasons behind it I am just simply disappointed that for such a large set they are not choosing to give these characters the appropriate detailing. Whether it would drive the price up or if we had to compromise some side builds maybe it would be worth it because I am kind of just tired of superhero figures not getting the detail they deserve. The way I see it this is going to be one of the largest MCU and subsequently superhero set in general, ever. So not getting what I would see as definitive versions of all the characters is underwhelming. Wasp needs both leg and arm printing. I wouldn’t say she needs any dual molding so I’m shocked they couldn’t just give us a good figure. Is it really that much of a hurdle to produce each figure that needs arm and leg printing with the respective accuracy? Also yeah I always felt like if we didn’t get a Stan Lee figure while he was alive it seems like that ship has sailed. Of course he’d be much more exciting for Kevin Feige but its dishonest to say Kevin does not deserve a figure. Interesting addition I guess. Also kept circling back to images of the End Game battle released some time ago and man I have so many issues with that set still. Had to rewatch the final battle scene to better grasp my complaints. • Wasp and Captain Marvel needed both arm and leg printing. Shuri needed leg printing. • There were so many iconic elements to that final battle that defined the imagery of that battle field. The portals are the most obvious but we could also include the leviathans, Thanos’s ship, and the flat battle field itself. The portals were visible during the entrance of all the Avengers, not the girl power scene. So the random inclusion of a portal on the top of this crumbling pillar is strange and out of place as those entrances were made long before the girls teamed up. And the portals were on a battle field not the pillar (s) we see in the set. The actual pillars in the background of where the girls united were not only quite small and just background scenery, they were not quite as busy in colors or as tall as what we got in the set. Rewatching the scene where the girls team up on YouTube yes they stand before some crumbling pillars, but when we have leviathans and Outrider ships they chose to cramp up a random pillar with a bunch of rubble and use that to depict this epic battle? • Character selection feels weak we’ve gotten a few Okoyes and Scarlet Witch’s feel like we could have seen an updated Wasp or Rescue in their place. So the set is so busy and not even accurate in terms of build or figure design. Bad build bad figures high price point. A more iconic reference to that scene would be a leviathan, and if they wanted to show the portals that can be done but those portals were not over broken structures like pillars. The only broken structure in the avengers assemble scene would be the building Ant Man broke out of. Ans that was still not a broken pillar. So its just all sorts of wrong.
  12. Call me crazy but I really hope we get arm printing for Iron Man finally. Not every character needs arm printing but I think he does and its about tine we finally get arm detailing on an iron man figure. I actually wish it was more common. I’m fine with and happy to see 4 chitauri being included. While I agree the set could use more villains the only one I really feel is relevant to the tower and the chitauri is Loki himself! Yes he came in the Quinjet and not including him in the Tower I guess keeps some figure exclusivity with the new jet? But honestly if the Chitauri are there then Loki should be there as well. and the weirdest thing about Wong being included is Dr Strange not being included. Maybe he was listed and I missed it but as of now it seems they intend to use Wong but no Dr Strange which is weird.
  13. I’m all here for an occasional flesh based series or two but I personally want this cmf line to remain yellow. Even among cultures people can have varying ranges of skin tones so I like the yellow figures because I can imagine these figures being however I want when they’re yellow. It leaves more to the imagination.
  14. Hmm looking back at my post does Bishop really need a new hair mould? I just remembered we have the mullet piece from the cmf wrestler. Would that work well for Bishop? I wanted a new mullet piece but in hindsight maybe that would work.
  15. It can be found on exabrickslegogo_ instagram page its one of his most recent posts. Looking at the poster it looks like new city figs none of the listed characters look like cmf figures to me. The standout is the blond with the green shirt and snail ears for me. I think if the simple depiction of a culture offends someone then there is nothing more I can say. The way I see it is, I’m a white dude from a major city so I can easily make a cmf figure of myself with pieces I have. Wouldn’t an indigenous figure give someone from a different culture the opportunity to see themselves in their figures the way I see myself in some of mine? I’ll go back to what I said that if done respectfully there should be no issue.
  16. How interesting looking back that you got half the Series correct! How even more interesting is the way this comment has aged. Also how has this thread had no traction since last year? We're near the end of 2023!! Well for now we only really got Beast as a new X-Man but that's still an exciting update to this comment. So here is my personal wish list for a comic based CMF Series. We got 3 cartoon/comic accurate figures in the X Men for Series 2. I previously thought we'd never get comic accurate figures in a cmf series but here we are. You could even say Werewolf by Night was comic accurate since his debut did have him bearing half torn green pants/green shorts. Even if the concept art for his slacks being blue ends up being wrong and he is given green slacks in the colorized version, bearing this figure MCU accurate, there is still a case to be made for using Werewolf by Night in a comic based setting. The bloodstone definitely solidifies him as an MCU figure but I personally feel fine displaying him with comic based figures (I traditionally display MCU and comics separately). But anyways now that there's hope I'll give my personal wishlist; Silver Surfer - I know this may be a controversial choice but the latest inclusion of Tiana in the Disney castle (plus Donald Ducks in the first castle) have proven that we can still get a CMF figure in a probably expensive set down the line lol. Jessica Drew 616 Spiderwoman - so I want a few versions of this character. I would love to see her with the spider web wings under her arms maybe using the arms that the bat figures have? I say that could I truly feel her "normal" variant should be in a set. Needs dual molded arms and legs along with printing on arms legs and hip piece. Cloak - I've had a hard time pinning what set I would place him in. I initially felt he (and Dagger) should be in a set with Spidey vs who knows, but now feel he'd be an exciting figure to collect in a cmf series. Dagger - See above. Could be good for sales that she would be seen as incomplete without Cloak by many fans so there is already some collectibility to them there. Dark Phoenix - While she would also probably do great in a set, she needs dual moulded arms and legs with printing to match, then her getting produced in a set with 1 or both of those features missing (cause we know they don't always give figures in sets the attention to detail they need) Bishop - He'd be great in a set but since he needs a new hair piece once again budget should allot to that which he may not otherwise get. 90's suit Sunfire - in his debut suit with mask mould Banshee - Giant sized X Men suit with the wings being a cloth element Enchantress - could use Scarlet witches hair mould or new mould Arnim Zola - new mould for whatever you call what's on top of his neck. His "head" Super Skrull - new mould(s) for his arm(s) please, possibly for his ears too, sure how I feel about the Genies piece being used Classic Starhawk
  17. I saw a Lego teaser poster recently it was a poster with flesh tone figures in interesting accessories and prints. For some reason many of the comments were speculating that it would be for a potential flesh tone CMF series and many comments following that actually proclaimed the outright desire and relief that we would be getting flesh toned cmf figures. I understand people want flesh toned options to depict various scenarios and characters the way we have so many options for yellow skin figures. But I would personally prefer and think its actually more like that this is for a separate theme altogether. I have not only grown accustomed to yellow skin mini figures they have become a staple in my view of Lego and I feel its a huge part of their brand identity for me personally. I'm fine with introducing a non licensed theme that utilizes flesh tones but I don't want them intervening with existing themes such as the CMF series. And I also don't want to comment on this too much but I'll say I love my Western figures and hope they continue to make them. Western dresses and style for me is quite fascinating and I love when we get it (that Robot Western gal with the red dress from the Lego movie cmf series was awesome to me). Of course everything should be done respectfully and I actually think Lego is very considerate of these decisions. Nobody is perfect but I don't think Lego has or ever will produce a set meaning to misrepresent things, especially in a harmful way. I think if done right, the indigenous figures can be so empowering. Consider it paying homage to or honoring the memory of some of those tribes that may unfortunately only live on in tales, memories or photographs. It's a touchy subject but if approached correctly I think there are some amazing designs and stories to be told and appreciated. With that in mind I think Lego should avoid any Cowboy vs Indigenous sets as that would certainly reinforce negative imagery. I know we're talking CMF here but just in general for the Western topic I think as long as they avoid that they're good. I mean what's the harm in just having a Western gal with a cool dress piece? Or an Indigenous figure wearing their traditional garments? if it's historically accurate to images or depictions or modern references for the tribe or garment in reference, than I think figures like that can be viewed as "commemorating" or celebrating the respect design.
  18. So I was still young when Clone Wars ended and Rebels began. I felt the animation style and quality was a dip from CW, and couldn't get past the first season or two. I heard it picked up steam but I never got around to finishing it. I did end up growing nostalgic for and generally falling in love with the designs of some of the characters though. Namely Sabine, Hera and Zebbs designs. I ended up wishing I bought the OG Ghost and the 2nd Phantom with Thrawn. Since neither have reappeared I actually think I will dedicate some savings to getting those eventually. But yeah despite not having some figures I missed out on these new sets are perfect one of the best waves not just recently but for the theme in general. Strong summer wave. Thank you for not spoiling any details about his outcome outright by the way. As for Ahsoka yes haha I knew it was her hence my notion she's a character we have so many variants of. With all these Togruta moulds in production Lego should have taken advantage and included Shaak Ti in one of the recent Episode 2 sets. Imagine the AT-TE but with Shaak Ti bearing the long tails Ahsoka had in the 2020 sets. I hope Lego takes advantage of all the moulds we have in circulation and produce her!! I know the prequels get a lot of flack but they are my personal favorite trilogy and while I can understand how some fans may say the original trilogy is the best, I stand firm in that the prequels produce the best sets. Episode 2 based sets have always been my personal favorite. Inclusion of various Jedi is a prime reason for this. I'd be so excited to see her. Ki Adits Mundi generated a similar sense of excitement for me as well.
  19. Yeah I’ll agree to back off about Wolverine lol. I wanted to emphasize my point that some sort of corner was cut on all X Men media but he’s a terrible example because while he is not perfect he is very darn close. But Storm needed a Tiara and we needed more X Men in both the Mansion and Jet but since we are unsure about exactly how those will play out I’ll wait and see. Its fun to speculate though. Porque no los dos? I adore the comic designs and do prefer them over the MCU designs but Lego Marvel has done a really good job of balancing both cinematic and comic sets so far. I mean we got the Daily Bugle in the past and we are almost guaranteed to be getting an X Mansion (its cartoon accurate but that is almost interchangeable with being comic accurate) so its not like they have disregarded comic material when it comes to large sets in the past. So in time, I’m sure both comic fans and MCU fans will have the content they desire. This isn’t Lego DC lol no need to compromise. lego Marvels fandom is much more spoiled than we give ourselves credit for (even if it was spiteful to have 2 of the most important female heroes as SDCC exclusives when the theme started out, that one still hurts lol). And now that you mention it yes! Electra, and Daredevil should have made my list of “not used as much as the late 90s early 2000’s” characters along with Spiderwoman, the F4 and Namor (who’s thankfully rebounding after Wakanda Forever). And completely agree their pack of inclusion in the MCU is clearly why. That said I still really want both released right without having to fork over a few thousand for each. Also do you think people who forked over good money for those SDCC figs would be mad if a better version with dual molded arms and legs and a better hairpiece gets released down the line? Or would they be fine knowing their version is still exclusive? Maybe people with first hand perspective who paid a lot to get them can comment. Also its not meant to be shady if you have several thousand dollars to spare on a single Lego figure trust I am jealous of you lol (kidding, sorta) Just curious.
  20. Okay so I haven’t been here in so long so hello hope everyone is well. Just wanted to comment on the new reveals that have happened in the last few months. 75367 - I adore the outer build for the Venator but no interior and just 2 figures? You’re competing with several other extremely large Lego sets many retired and many still on shelves, and quite frankly losing. There are so many other designs to save for and get excited about. Yes the exterior is gorgeous and its an amazing display model but when competing for space and money this just doesn’t excite me the way other USC or D2C sets have. 75357 - Amazing set I adore the interior space, the updated Phantom, the new design for the Ghost, the value and the price range. This set is almost perfect I just wish it had Zebb. Right now the older Ghost and Phantom still have aftermarket value for their inclusion of Blind Kanan, Thrawn and Zebb. I don’t want to fork over half a thousand dollars to get those characters sealed new so hopefully at the very least Zebb gets remade lol maybe I’m fine getting him in a new set and ordering the old Phantom for Thrawn haha. But yeah besides missing Kanan (mind you I haven’t watched Ahsoka so not even sure if he would be a fitting inclusion) this set is perfect 75362 - I was initially so excited to see a new T6 Shuttle with a Togruta pilot! But ultimately I got less excited about it and wondered why? I realized that my initial excitement for the T6 shuttle was mostly in its debut of Shaak Ti. Not trying to distract too much on my commentary of this set but I will say, re-releasing the T6 is nice and all but a new Shaak Ti is really what I want to see and I’d pay a pretty dollar to get one in my collection. Without those bug eyes of course lol. Anyways once you get past the fact that the Togruta pilot is a character you probably have a handful of variants for already, its a beautiful ship. Sabine has no pink helmet her costume is brownish so it has me wondering if we’ll ever get another wide release take on her pink helmet and armor because honestly that was one of my favorite costume designs for the character. Again, not complaining I understand she is probably accurate to the show. I actually think she looks great its just hard not to comment on the previous builds and figure designs that appear in these sets. An the robot is perfect easily best figure here. 75364 - Gonna be honest I am unfamiliar with the ships, the characters and the plot that this set represents. But I adore the builds and the designs so whatever is going on I think it looks great lol. Blue ship vs red ship is not just exciting because of the new designs for the ships themselves, but because we rarely get 2 ships in 1 set that carry these respective color schemes. It feels so fresh and unique. 75354 - I forgot this design existed I thought Lego accidentally got the colors of a gunship wrong lmaoo. Ultimately a beautiful set with some of the best figures we have gotten for Padme and the Chancellor respectively. Overall Summer 2023 was to me one of the strongest waves we’ve had in this theme for a while. The builds were amazing as were the character selections and designs. If I wasn’t still catching up with retired and retiring sets I’d have snatched up these released by now. What an amazing time to be a collector.
  21. I forgot they did that!! Oh my goodness that is hilarious. Lego really gave us like 3 sets with just Batman and the Joker this year. Its like their trolling us at this point. Its just annoying because how difficult and expensive is it just throw in 1 (or 2 God forbid) new figures besides Batman and Joker? yikes now that you mention it I am both laughing and completely unable to be excited for this wave anymore lmaoo.
  22. Wolverine, I will admit is hard to acknowledge. The blue shoulder pads they printed on the upper half of his sleeve could have just been a blue shoulder armor piece (I’m thinking 41637). But I googled his suit and his blue gloves do go wel above his wrist simply giving him blue hands would not have properly depicted the length of his gloves. At the end of the day the awkward length where his blue shoulder pads cut off are unsightly on this figure as its not well covered on all angles. But to say this figure had completey barren arms is untrue. Google 90’s Wolverine, between the blue from his gloves to the blue on his shoulder pads I think its unfair to say his figure could have hard completely barren arms from all the images I can find its just his upper arm and right below his elbow that is exposed. If anything they should have given him the blue shoulder armor, skipped the blue printing on the top and given him dual molded arms but with blue on the bottom to more accurately depict the length of his gloves. But pop a completely flesh tone arm on this Wolverine I promise you it will look funky. But again Wolverine is neither here nor there he’s the least offensive offender when it comes to this trend. But to acknowledge your other point I considered Emma an antihero and I was categorizing Sabertooth, Mystique and Magneto as members of the brotherhood of Evil Mutants so the way I was framing things in my mind I considered Professor X the only new hero but yes I acknowledge he was not the only new character. That said even if we get 3 new villains in addition to 1 new hero, am I wrong for being disappointed we only got 1 new hero in such a large set? Seems like a fair complaint. Unless of course you are correct. Its all just preliminary and both the building design and figures can be drastically improved upon. That is still a fair possibility but as I acknowledged in my initial comment all the other leaked sets in the Survey included builds that looked official and character lineups that were satisfying. The X Mansion had the most to improve upon and I feel its fair to be concerned bc yes a lot can be changed but no other set in that survey got so much wrong like this leak did. Plus I adore these characters so yes I can see that my commentary may seem nitpicky and a bit negative and for that I do apologize. But stubborn as I am I still think there is cause for concern but because you brought up the slight hope that I may prove to be wrong I’ll leave it alone for now and comment again when official photos confirm we end up getting just Wolverine and Magneto in the set 😆
  23. Thank you, you as well. I grew up in the early 2000’s when the X Men, Fantastic 4, Jessica Drew, (and even Tigra, Wasp, and Namor) were all more heavily included in video games, animation and merchandising (shirts, bags, toys etc) than they are currently. So having grown up with these characters more prominently featured, I was always a huge fan of Spiderwoman and the Phoenix. they are 2 of my favorites so its kind of annoying of all characters, that they would be exclusive as of now. Really need them to get remade. Anyways I’m most excited to get Helen Cho and Vision in this upcoming Avengers Tower. As of now I have no vision in my collection so thats very exciting to get. I hope Helen gets a new torso print and not a generic nurse outfit.
  24. Just gonna correct myself here before anyone else does and yes I now realize Mr Knight is not comic accurate as the line down the middle of his mask is something only his MCU depiction has had so far. He’s still suppeeerrr close to being comic accurate though, the show runners did a great job bringing that design to life. While we have to wait and see which figures we end up getting I just pray we finally get a Jean Grey !! That would be everything she is one of my favorite characters in comics. I wish they gave Wolverine dual molded arms as well in this cmf to set a precedent for figures having both dual molded arms and legs for Marvel or X Men. I know the Birdwatcher in CMF Series 22 had both, wish Marvel figures could get that treatment. i say this because Phoenix, Dark Phoenix, and Jessica Drew Spiderwoman would all need that to be as accurate and satisfying as possible I wish we had that precedent so there would be skme hope these figures are given justice when eventually given their wide release. I really want a 616 Spiderwoman and Phoenix in my collection so bad. Wanna know a cool trick to keep those 2012/2013 SDCC figures exclusive? Well they don’t have dual moulded arms OR legs….. so obviously giving that to the wide released variants keeps the general populous happy and scalpers and rich folk can feel satisfied they still forked over good money for a figure that remained exclusive at the end of the day. So everybody wins
  25. Return of mighty micros confirmed!! jk but if half of the X Jet roster ends up being Wolverine and Magneto I’ll be disappointed but not surprised. Takes me back to what i said before that since we’re paying 30 bucks more than the OG X Jet we should have gotten more figures as well. Also thanks for letting me know! Btw Is it just me or does Lego consistently half a** their X Men material? Storm did not get a new hair mould with her crown and flowy white locks in her 2014 debut. Then Wolverine does not get dual molded arms for his cmf figure, Beast gets no arm printing, the X Jet is half repeats AGAIN, and the rumored mansion has only 1 new X Men (being Professor X himself) and an ugly design? I’m happy for new X Men material but unpopular opinion Lego has cut some sort of corner every time they have produced content for the mutants. I even joke that Kamala was excluded from the CMF series once rumors circulated she would be a mutant moving forward lol.
