  1. I got eight more packs today, with just one duplicate. Now I’m 10 for 12 on this series! I’ve been really impressed by the detailing on a lot of these figures. Pretty solid series overall!
  2. I also finished the Boutique Hotel last night and I found it to be mostly enjoyable. There were parts of the build that got super repetitive though (like some of the windows and finer details on the building’s exterior). And was I the only one who had some trouble connecting those “candle” pieces to the holed 1x1 studs? Otherwise, I did really enjoy the build as I spread it out across multiple days. I noticed most of the easter eggs once the set was revealed, particularly the Galidor painting and other Modular Building references, but I still really enjoyed them regardless. I also really liked the fifteenth anniversary seal on the box with the silhouettes of all the “modern” Modular Buildings. The picture of all the Modular Buildings together in the instruction manual was gorgeous as well. I do hope to have them all someday, though I doubt that’ll happen. Not unless I get really lucky finding the first few for a good price, or Lego rereleases them someday, like what they did with that random Taj Mahal remake in 2017. Probably a good thing anyway as I’m officially out of room on my Modular Building shelf! (And I still need to get the Book Shop and Police Station before they’re gone too…)
  3. If they follow a similar approach to Looney Tunes, then we can expect some Brickheadz at least in 2023. Fingers crossed for actual sets though!
  4. Good enough for me, I wouldn’t be mad if we get another Disney+ centric wave for Star Wars like we got this last summer either! Also, I built my second Snowtrooper Battle Pack tonight and I have to say that it’s so nice to have old fashioned battle packs again. (501st set and other army builders notwithstanding.) The $20 price is definitely a tough pill to swallow; fortunately, I have a couple Christmas gift cards that make me feel less guilty about buying multiples.
  5. There’s already some stuff I want from TBOBF in Lego form, but it’s going to be a real challenge for Lego to balance covering it, Kenobi, Andor and The Bad Batch all this year, not to mention sets based off the films or things other than the shows.
  6. Same here, I’ve gotten whole subthemes and waves before but never a whole theme, though I have gotten close with The Lego Ninjago Movie and some other lines. I’d say hopefully we get a new Lego Indiana Jones game as I loved the original two (especially the first one) growing up, but considering the dubious state of TT Games and the constant delays of The Skywalker Saga, that may be a bit of a pipe dream. Another pipe dream would be getting sets based on the new video game whenever that comes out but Lego is very picky as to what video games can get sets. (Cough, Overwatch but not Jedi: Fallen Order, cough.)
  7. I’d be super happy if this was the wave. I’d also like either the truck chase from Raiders or the Shanghai Chase from Temple of Doom. Regardless, if this theme is truly coming back, then I’m not skipping a single set this time around. I only got 7620 (which I still have built and displayed), 7624 and 7625 last time.
  8. FYI, Lego is doing a six figure box of this series like they did for Looney Tunes and Marvel Studios. I got my first four packs at the Lego Store. Interestingly, they kepy the boxes behind the register. (Presumably to prevent a bunch of people from feeling up the same bags, which is understandable.) I got two of the Bard, the Wildlife Explorer with the toucan and the Racoon Suit Woman. I’m 1/4 of the way done with the series at least.
  9. Found an early Snowtrooper Battle Pack at Walmart a few days ago and will probably pick up a second, and maybe even a third one, soon with one of my gift cards. As part of my January 1st Lego Store Haul, I picked up the new Hoth AT-ST to go with my new Hoth display and the Razor Crest Microfighter to go towards having a complete Lego The Mandalorian collection. (Still need to pick up Gideon’s Cruiser.)
  10. I want this theme to return as much as anyone but I don’t really see what new confirmation there is? That being said, all it would take is a remake of 2008’s Temple Escape to satisfy me but I’ll happily take more lol.
  11. My Lego Store was very well stocked on the Hotel today! I picked up the fourth or fifth one and an employee was already restocking the shelves and there was still plenty more available. It was my first time going to a Lego Store at opening on a big release day so it was a cool experience. The only bummer was the lack of a promo but it’s no big deal.
  12. I got my first Hoth Battle Pack at Walmart yesterday. I’ve seen the Hoth AT-ST and Razor Crest MF at a few stores too but they’re not towards the top of my priority list. 2022 starts in about 20 minutes for me and I’m going to order one of each of the new SW Accessory Sets just in case they don’t have them at my Lego Store in the morning. If they do, well, I’ll have two of each! EDIT: Looks like I’m getting neither as they’ve seemingly been delayed, same goes for the Ahsoka Brickheadz.
  13. I just want a wide release minifigure-scaled 1989 Batmobile, whether that be a set based off the Tim Burton duology or The Flash. BTAS sets would be cool too, but probably aren’t very likely.
  14. I’m still hoping for new Lego Indiana Jones sets in 2022/2023. My wallet on the other hand? Not so much. I really regret not being as interested in the original sets when they were still available.
  15. Agreed. I’m still hoping that Lego makes The Mantis to coincide with Fallen Order 2, whenever that comes out. Those other games would make for some cool sets as well. I haven’t delved into The High Republic books and comics yet, but there are so many neat character and ship designs that Lego sets would be really awesome to see. I think it’s only a matter of time, especially with how much they’ve been pushing this era.
  16. For what it’s worth, I think Lego has massively stepped up their game with licensed 4+ sets this past year. The Mickey sets were fantastic (even though I’ve yet to pick up most of them) and these ones aren’t too shabby either. Some of the new pieces and part recolors are interesting. I actually really dig the new Spidey figure in particular; it looks like a solid cartoony version of the character. I like most of these new figures; I’m just not a huge fan of Gobby’s new face and I agree that the new Miles looks weird with the red legs. I’m trying to buy less sets for just the minifigures but I might end up getting that that Rhino/Hulk set for those characters. I feel like those two would fit in relatively well with the Daily Bugle, which I hope to pick up next year.
  17. I wonder if they’ll just save it for Christmas in July or maybe just hold off until next December. I can’t imagine that it’s very cost efficient to store whatever they have of this promo for several months to a year though. Oh well, this makes me feel better about saving my next big Lego purchase until January 1st, assuming we have some cool promos then.
  18. I spy references to the 2015 Detective’s Office (Ace Brickman and the scissors), the 2018 Downtown Diner (boxing), the 2014 Parisian Restaurant (the chef review) and maybe the Green Grocer? (The apple I guess.) That saxophone guy might be a connection to the music store in the Assembly Square and maybe a Music Hall could be a future Modular, as someone else pointed out. Also, I LOVE that Galidor reference. It brings me back to discovering this cursed, obscure piece of Lego history on just2good’s channel. (“Bruh, look at this DUDE.”) Does this new building look almost MOC like to you guys? The style reminds me of some of those Modular style sets that get submitted to Ideas. I do quite like this set, though I’m not as wowed by it as I usually am by new Modular Buildings. (I honestly like the previous two better; both of which I still need to get.) Still, I appreciate Lego trying something new here with the unique setup of the building. I agree that it looks surprisingly small for the piece count but it definitely doesn’t feel overpriced. The figures are nice though I’m not a fan of the kooky glasses print on the Art Gallery figure. I still plan to get a Modular on January 1st, but I might get one of those other two I’m missing instead as I don’t feel as rushed to get this now. We’ll see! I’m also really curious to see the rumored promo. I hope it wasn’t cancelled/a false rumor like the Santa’s Living Room one.
  19. Awesome, I think I might pick it up next year. So far the only Winter Village set I have is Santa’s Visit and some smaller Seasonal sets and I’m really eager to expand my layout.
  20. I had the same issue with Santa’s Sleigh as well. Also, I ended up taking a closer look at the Elf Clubhouse yesterday at Target, as I’ve never really paid attention to the set. I kinda dig it, would you guys recommend it?
  21. The last AT-TE in 2016 was $120. A price hike of $20 doesn’t sound unlikely to me. The 2020 AT-AT jumped to $160 from the $110 or $120 AT-AT of 2014. They could throw in a couple of STAPs or yet another BARC speeder here. Speaking of the 2020 AT-AT, that will probably be retiring by the end of 2022 so Lego is going to need something to fill that large walker void. I do wonder if there’s a chance we get a new Count Dooku in a set next year though. It’s been almost ten years since we last got a new figure of him. I guess if there’s any chance the $160 set is a Gunship, he could be included in that with his speeder and AOTC Obi-Wan, Yoda or Mace Windu and a few clones.
  22. Here are some of my shots in the dark. 75323 ? ($159.99): I honestly have no guesses as to what this could be. It’s probably too soon for a Gunship and I don’t really see them doing another Star Destroyer right now. I doubt it’s a Venator and it’s probably too big to be a set based on a new Disney+ show. 75331 Battle of Endor ($529.99): The builds are the bunker, a decent sized shield generator, an AT-ST, two speeder bikes, an Ewok glider and plenty of foliage. I’m going to go low and guess an amount of 20 figures. Minifigures include Endor Han Solo (New!), Endor Leia (New!), Chewbacca, C3PO, R2-D2, Captain Rex/Nik Sant (New!), Rebel Commandos (New!) [x2], Wicket, 2 other Ewoks (New!), Stormtrooper [x3], Scout Trooper [x2], AT-ST Driver, Imperial Officer and two Imperial Navy Troopers. 75332-75335, I’m going to guess these are related to Kenobi, Andor and maybe Bad Batch Season 2. One of them could be a Clone/TK/Stormtrooper Pack related to The Bad Batch like the 501st set. Depending on how big a role it plays in the show, I could see that concept art Inquisitor ship being made into 75335 for Kenobi. 75336 Crosshair’s Imperial Carrier ($100): Comes with Crosshair, two Elite Squad Troopers (New!), Admiral Rampart (New!) and Hunter. 75337 AT-TE ($130): Comes with Padawan Anakin Skywalker (New!), Padme Amidala (New!), two Clone Troopers and two Geonosis Battle Droids. 75338, I’m going to guess is another Disney+ based set. 75340 Advent Calendar ($44.99): I think a $5 price hike is a bit much, but hey. 75242 Vader’s TIE Advanced ($40): I’m not sure if this ship will appear in Kenobi or not, but this ship is due for a standalone scaled remake anyway. Minifigures would include Darth Vader (ideally the ANH version but a reuse is fine), Admiral Piett (New!) and a Stormtrooper. 75243 Captain Rex’s Y-Wing ($60): I still want this set really bad lol and I’m sure Lego is itching to do a new Y-Wing. Minifigures would include the long awaited Phase Two Captain Rex (New!), Cad Bane with Todo 360 (New!) and Omega (New!).
  23. I’m fine with the newer Lego clone design. I prefer it one design used for everything over having separate designs for Prequel and TCW clones, especially with so much more overlap between the films and shows these days. I also don’t have many Clone figures from before last year so the change also doesn’t really affect me. As for these summer set numbers and prices, count me in for wanting a new AT-TE and MBS Endor. I hope most of the rest are based on some combination of Kenobi, Andor and The Bad Batch. I’m all in on collecting sets based off the Disney+ shows.
  24. I figured that but I haven’t really kept up with Ninjago news/rumors the last month or two so I wasn’t sure. Weird that the store exclusive Dojo add-on will be the only Ninjago set that month, but similar things have occurred in the past.
  25. I don’t think it would make sense for it to be a Marvel set with the Daily Bugle still being fairly fresh and with Marvel already getting another D2C next year with the Hulkbuster Mark 2. That being said, I don’t really know what DC set they could do for a $500 price when they’re pushing the theme so little. Maybe a Batcave but I don’t know. It is Lego DC’s tenth anniversary too so it would be fair for them to get equal coverage.
