  1. For the sake of my wallet, I sure hope that this is not a Marvel/MCU set! (I did just get the 2020 Avengers Tower over the summer as well.) I still need to get the Bugle, and I also have plans to get the Disney Castle and get caught up on some SW UCS sets next year.
  2. Is Ninjago getting three waves next year like it did this year? (10th Anniversary/Legacy in January, The Island and Ninjago City Gardens in March and Seabound and final 10th Anniversary sets in August.) I know the Dojo add-on is supposed to come out in March but is anything else?
  3. That looks fantastic! I love how all the logs look to the side, not to mention the SNOT rock pathway up to the front porch. The unconventional shape really makes these model stand out. Also, I just noticed all the Mjolners/hammers at the front! That is super impressive! I have a question though: where does that big pot/vase on the far right of the porch come from? (Next to the chair and satchel and behind the backpack.) I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that before. I hope this model passes on Lego Ideas as I would love to have this in my new Winter Village display. Great job @Norton74, keep up the good work!
  4. Apparently, I’ve been doing it wrong the whole time! My big nose will finally come in handy. Also, this is the like fourth or fifth non-licensed series with the blue packaging (though it is the first with the new style bags). I hope we get another red one next year.
  5. While I’m a bit bummed that the Cody and Rex rumor was wrong (and a bit annoyed that some leakers are just going to sweep this under the carpet), that rumor was a bit too good to be true and was only around for like three days so I’m not too let down. The Clone Accessory Set still looks pretty good! I don’t know if I’m going to get 10 of them like I did with the 501st set but I’ll try to get a couple. The Hoth Rebel pack looks pretty good as well and is further encouraging me to do a big Hoth display this year. I like the diverse face prints and the massable guns that could be used for a trench. I do think Lego’s army building approach here is weird though: we’re getting our first official battle pack in two years with a $5 price increase, two Lego Store Exclusive Accessory Sets for the old Battle Pack price but with one less figure and also some other sets that are somewhat massable but aren’t necessarily ideal, like last year’s AAT, this year’s Trexler Marauder and next year’s Attack of the Dark Troopers. It’s a head scratcher but I think I’ll try to get six of all three of these new army builder sets. Also, I love the new Ahsoka Brickhead. That might be my favorite Brickhead they’ve ever done. I’m excited to pick this up on January 1st.
  6. Very mediocre looking wave, which is fine by me as next year is going to be a very expensive one and I need to cut costs somewhere. I like a few of the sets, like the dojo and big mech, but ultimately, I have plenty of good looking Ninjago mechs and temples so I’m fine skipping these ones.
  7. I ended up getting the Corner Garage back in May and while it’s my least favorite of the Modulars that I own, I like it well enough. Seeing all these other 2022 sets is making me antsy waiting for the new Modular and its promo!
  8. Wow, this is the first time I’ve really had multiple City sets on my wanted list in years. The City and Fire stuff is mostly boring, but even they have some standouts. I like that the crooks are driving around in an ice cream van in 60314 (though no Lego ice cream van will replace The Lego Movie one in my heart ) and I love the storytelling in 60321. There’s a missing cat flyer on the picket fence and the box shows that the cats have to be rescued from the burning sardine factory. You know, because cats like fish? Yeah, it’s kind of on-the-nose but I like it. As for sets going on my wanted list: 60326 Picnic in the Park: It’s just a cute little set with some cool pieces like the yellow bike. I love the new squirrels and you get two different ones in this set. All three of the torso prints will be new for me and I especially like the boy’s brown curly hair piece as that looks a lot like how my hair used to look before I started growing it out over the summer. 60327 Horse Transporter: I don’t know if I’ll actually wind up getting this but I’ve always found a lot of the City Great Vehicles (idk if they still use that title anymore) to be very charming. I only have one or two Lego horses in my entire collection and this one looks like a new color! Hopefully this doesn’t end up like the 2020 Safari Van where I said I would get it at some point and now it’s retiring. 60328 Beach Lifeguard Station: I used to have a Lego City Beach Display but I ended up dismantling it. This set kinda makes me want to rebuild it haha. (I still have the builds for the 2012 Marina and 2017 Fun at the Beach sets around somewhere.) All of the figures will be new for me at least and I like the little turtle (with eggs) and lobster that come in this set. As for other sets, there’s nothing else I’ll be getting most likely but I do have some thoughts on the other sets: -I love the diverse minifigure selection in the Hospital and I actually kinda dig the structure of the Hospital itself. I’ve been critical of the recent City buildings but this actually doesn’t look half bad. -It’s cool that we’re finally getting a Lego City School with Bus; too bad I don’t think either look very good. Again, I like the diverse minifigure selection here at least. -I won’t be getting any but the new Lunar subtheme is actually kinda neat looking.
  9. That Friends apartment is honestly better than any of the City buildings have been in years. I probably won’t get it but I do really like how it looks; it reminds me a lot of the structure of my college town. I even dig the Friendship Treehouse. It’s a cool set to commemorate the tenth anniversary of this evergreen theme. Gotta say, I’m pretty impressed with a lot of these newly revealed sets across all themes, including themes I don’t buy. I never thought I’d be somewhat interested in Friends sets, that’s for sure.
  10. The girl with the foal is actually probably my favorite of the series. I like the new foal mold and I don’t yet have that hair/hat combo in any color.
  11. The Razor Crest Microfighter looks mediocre but it’s cheap and I’m getting every Mandalorian set, really every Star Wars/Marvel Disney+ set at this point, so I’ll add it to my purchase on January 1st probably. The box art is nice at least: I love the orange border with the Tython background. I can see this being a seller with kids because of it being the cheapest way to get Mando. I’m kinda tired of being drip fed reveals though. Apparently the Ahsoka Brickheadz announcement is coming soon at least, which I’m super excited for, and hopefully we see these much discussed accessory sets soon as well.
  12. Yes please. A new Ghost with the crew in their Season 3/4 outfits would be enough for me, though I have plenty of other ideas that I listed in the Wishlist thread.
  13. Because with Lego Star Wars fans, “x” being made automatically means “y” won’t be made. Couldn’t have said it better. I never would have thought that we’d get new Phase 1 Cody and Rex. If Lego are willing to revisit the old Clone Wars seasons, hopefully they’re willing to revisit Rebels someday.
  14. I think the most interesting thing about this rumor is some of the reactions to it. I'd say any new Cody and Rex figures are better than none, even if a lot of us may have been desiring the Phase 2 versions over the Phase 1 armor. If anything, Lego could probably just reuse the torso and legs for Phase Two versions, even if that may not be the most accurate, in a set where they could actually give them new Phase Two helmet molds. Oh well, Star Wars fans are going to do what Star Wars fans do. (Overreact.) Is the Razor Crest Microfighter still coming on January 1st? I'm amazed that we're very nearly a month out from January 1st and we've yet to see so many sets from most themes. I guess Lego really did cut off the leaks. I wonder if some of the shipping delays may have something to do with them holding off on reveals as well?
  15. Ooh, that Fallen Order idea gets me excited. I want Lego stuff based on the game super badly. I wonder if Lego may be doing these Accessory Sets to tie in with current UCS sets? These Phase One Clones would obviously go well with the Gunship (even if they’re not AOTC based) while the Hoth Rebels go with (or against, rather) the AT-AT, as well as the other new Hoth sets. Probably just a coincidence that I’m reading too much into, but that’s still pretty cool. These accessory sets definitely give me two more reasons to go to the Lego Store on January 1st (I already wanted to go for the new Modular and Ahsoka Brickhead.)
  16. I finished rewatching all of Mando again. Like I did with The Bad Batch and Rebels, I’m going to type out some set ideas that I would like to realistically see. I actually think Lego has covered the show pretty well so far so I don’t have too much to add. Season One: Offworld Sandcrawler Microfighter ($10): Comes with an Offworld Jawa minifigure (New!). Blurrg vs Speeder Bike Microfighters ($20): Microfighter versions of Kuill’s Blurrg and a Scout Trooper bike. Idealy the Blurrg would be properly scaled outside of the Microfighter context. Minifigures would include Kuiil (New!) and a Scout Trooper. Clash at the Nevarro Cantina ($40): Similar build and size to the 2018 Mos Eisley Cantina. Instead of an Ubrikkan speeder, we could get an E-Web Blaster Cannon. Maybe there could be an explosive feature with the E-Web Battery, like when Moff Gideon shot at it in Chapter 8. Minifigures would include Beskar Mando, The Client (New!), Incinerator Stormtrooper (New!) and IG-11. Lego Star Wars 202? Visual Dictionary with Exclusive Death Watch Mandalorian ($20): We all know why we’d be getting this one and it sure ain’t because of the book itself. Season 2: Imperial Juggernaut Microfighter ($10): Miniature version of the transport from Chapter 15. Comes with Imperial Disguise Migs Mayfeld (New!) The Mandalorian Accessory Set ($15): Comes with Beskar Mando, Bo Katan, Axe Woves with helmet and hair piece (New!) and Koska Reeves with helmet and hair piece (New!). The builds could be some of the crates Bo-Katan was after in Chapter 11. Training Grogu ($30): A small playset recreating the Corvus forest. You could have the campfire where Ahsoka “talks” to Grogu and there could be a feature where the rock/shifter knob is levitated towards Grogu. This set would be a comparable size to Trouble on Tatooine and include Beskar Mando (with new 1x1 round tile Razor Crest shifter knob print!), Grogu and Mando Ahsoka (New!). Cobb Vanth’s Speeder Bike ($30): A set recreating The Marshal’s cobb-led together speeder. Minifigures would include Cobb Vanth with helmet and hair piece (New!), Hermit Boba Fett (New!) and maybe a Tusken Raider. General: UCS Razor Crest ($400-500): Yeah, the ship got blown up but it was a super cool ship. The model would be super accurate to the ship in-universe. Minifigures could include Beskar Mando, Season 2 Greef Karga, Cara Dune, Grogu, Kuill, Season 1 Mayfeld (New!), Frog Lady (New! Could reuse the new head mold they give CMF Kermit) and The Mythrol (New!). Carbonite blocks like the 2020 version would be included here as well. If we could also get a Dave Filoni/Trapper Wolf minifigure somewhere, I’d definitely be happy.
  17. I’m probably going to skip this wave, or most of it at least, but I’m still really curious to see how a lot of these sets look.
  18. That’s a bit hyperbolic, don’t you think? They haven’t made either of these figures in well over ten years, and they were extremely stylized back then. Also, people have been talking nonstop about wanting new Rex/Cody figures for ever. Yeah, these aren’t Phase 2 but they would both need a new helmet mold which wouldn’t be released in a meager Accessory Set. Besides, these Phase One versions would make more sense along with the UCS Gunship which also means people don’t have to pay $350 to get these characters in that set! I think this is great news. Lego is giving people more Clone Wars stuff, we’re getting two super desirable characters and it’s going to be in a super cheap set. I see this as an absolute win (if the rumor is indeed true).
  19. Picked up some of the new(ish) Lego Batman sets at the Lego Store the other day and just got done building them. I picked up the small The Batman motorcycle set on a whim and I actually liked the bikes a lot more in person than when pictures were first revealed. Since I’ve decided to skip the new Batcave, I’m glad to have gotten Selina Kyle here. I also built the smaller Tumbler and it was a fantastic build, as well as just a really enjoyable experience assembling it. I’m satisfied with both and am now excited to pick up the Pattinson Batmobile set in the next month or so.
  20. I mean, what prequel helmets are there really to make? They’re not going to do Jango Fett anytime soon with Boba and Mando already around. If they’re going to do Clones, I really feel like there’s only a few that would have wide appeal (i.e. a plain helmet or an iconic helmet like Cody or Rex). I could see them doing Grievous too maybe but that’s about it. Also, when do March sets tend to be revealed? I wonder if they’ll try to unveil those on one of the last Bring Home the Bounty days.
  21. To be honest, I feel the opposite. I feel like Obi-Wan has more pull than Boba or Ahsoka (even though I’m personally most excited for Ahsoka) because Kenobi seems to be the most anticipated Disney+ show in general, and not just from Star Wars either. I think at least one set is practically guaranteed and I can definitely see us getting even two to three sets based off of it. (That Inquisitor ship from the concept art looks like it would be a sick Lego set.) While Andor doesn’t have quite as much of an appeal, it is a Rebellion-centric show which gives Lego an excuse to do new versions of Rebel and Empire ships, which we all know they love to make. I believe the concept art showed Cassian flying some sort of A or U-Wing, so that alone could be a set right there. I think this past summer wave has proven that Lego is willing to give at least the Star Wars shows a chance again (besides that fantastic CMF series and two mediocre What If? sets, I can’t say the same for Marvel.) It was almost entirely Disney+ based. More Mandalorian sets was no surprise but I was surprised to see them go back and do more sets off TCW Season 7 over a year later, not to mention that one of the biggest sets in the wave was from a new show, The Bad Batch.
  22. This is the only set from The Mandalorian I’m missing currently so I look forward to picking this up and building it in the next month or two. The lack of detailing on the Moff Gideon figure honestly doesn’t bother me; it’s more the fact that I don’t like the Lego Darksaber but it’s not really a huge deal for me. I’m sure we’ll get this Fennec figure again with The Book of Boba Fett sets, so that’s probably why they went all out with the detailing for her (similar to what they did with Mando in that Trouble on Tatooine set back in January).
  23. I’m not a huge DC fan (I’m mostly only interested in the Bat Family) but man, I’m sorry y’all. Aside from the DC CMF, you guys haven’t even gotten a new Superman figure in a set since what, 2018? Hopefully things turn around for you all next year.
  24. I ultimately passed on the Disney Train. While I love the Disney Parks, I didn’t love the set and would’ve just spent hundreds for it because of that association with the Parks (as well as that Goofy minifigure). Besides, I still have the Disney Castle to get too, which should happen next year with me returning to Disney World in March. Hopefully I love the next Disney Parks D2C more; fingers crossed for Spaceship Earth or Space Mountain!
  25. I pre-ordered a complete series online so I’n glad I didn’t have to go hunting for this series, it was ridiculously hard to find for a while here. While I agree that a lot of these figures may be a little niche, I think it’s nice to have at least some coverage for the Disney+ Marvel shows. It’s also nice to see Marvel minifigures with such exquisite detailing, which they tend to lack in the sets. I have some qualms with this series (like why does Bucky come with a shield or the omission of characters like Zemo or John Walker), but overall, this has to be one of my favorite series to date. It reminds me a lot of the first Lego Batman Movie series, which also featured some niche characters and had gorgeously detailed superhero minifigures.
