  1. Love and Thunder is easily my most anticipated of the Marvel releases this year so I’m glad to be getting some news/leaks about one of the sets. Lady Thor looks great and the Goat Boat sounds awesome. (I’m sure it’ll make all those people begging for new Lego goats happy.) The Doctor Strange trailer looks pretty good too. I’m not as excited for any of the Marvel stuff as much now that NWH has pretty much come and gone and Star Wars has taken my interest and attention back from Marvel again. I’ve always been more of a Star Wars fan but I largely took a break from it last year while I really got into Marvel with all of the movies and shows.
  2. I definitely like Boba Fett’s Palace a lot better with these pictures. The exterior looks surprisingly solid and it should make for a great display with my UCS Slave 1. Hopefully the printing on Fett’s helmet turns out better than the one I got in his Starship last year. I’m also really happy that we’re confirmed to be getting Mando’s N-1. Looks like one of my predictions from the Wishlist thread is spot on! I also wonder if the Grogu figure will be any different to show off the Beskar chainmail. I’m also excited to get Peli Motto; she’s a fun side character and has surprisingly made the most appearances out of all the side/supporting characters. The price doesn’t sound great but it is what it is. The only other set I want from TBOBF is something with the Rancor, plus Cobb Vanth and Krrsantan minifigs, but I wasn’t crazy about the show itself so I wouldn’t want another set over something from The Bad Batch, Kenobi or Andor. I’ll probably wait to pick up both of these sets until June 1st. Should make for a fun Lego Store trip.
  3. Presumably “Do or do not, there is no try” and either “One thing’s for sure, we’re all about to be a lot thinner” or “What an incredible smell you’ve discovered!” will be the quotes for Dagobah and the Trash Compacter respectively. Both sets come out in May correct?
  4. EDIT: For some reason, the rest of the post got stuck under the spoiler tag and I can't fix it. So just an FYI, there's nothing too spoilery in my list besides the first set on there. Updating my Summer 2022 prediction list that I posted in November since we've gotten some new info since then. 75323 Cad Bane's Ship ($160 for 1022 pieces): Assuming that the piece count or price isn't changed around with another set, this does seem like a very puzzling choice by Lego. Bad PPP, ship that hasn't gotten too much screen time in The Bad Batch (yet) and the flagship set of the summer being based on an animated show is surprising. Still, assuming that this info is correct, I'm going to guess that we're going to get five to six figures plus some droids here. This set could be more based off Season 2, but since it's too early to tell, I'm just going to guess a Season 1 minifigure selection. Figures would include Cad Bane of course (New!), Omega (New!), Fennec Shand, Hunter and Nala Se (New!), with droids TODO-360 and maybe AZI too? I have two guess for 75325 ($60/$70 for Unknown Piece Count), our mystery TBOBF set releasing in June.
  5. You know what it could be for that size and price though? Bounty Hunter Pursuit. From what I’ve seen, Kenobi seems to be the most anticipated out of all the Disney+ shows, and not just the Star Wars ones. Plus Lego hasn’t skipped any of the Star Wars shows so far, aside from Visions and some of the short-form content which don’t really count. If Resistance could get two sets, there is no way that these much bigger shows won’t get any. I’d be surprised if we didn’t get at least one set each by December. To be honest, I don’t think there’s a lot more Lego could realistically make from Season 2. The only set that really comes to mind is Cobb Vanth’s Speeder and, from Season One, some sort of set with Kuiil and a Blurrg. I’ve really liked most of The Mandalorian sets so far though, so I wouldn’t complain about getting more! I have to imagine they’ll want to use the new BD-1 mold in more than one set. Lego will definitely make up for not putting out Fallen Order stuff in 2019 or 2020 by putting out some stuff for the sequel this time around.
  6. Promobricks, the source for this rumor list, said so in a seperate Instagram post. Taun We is coming in the $30 Episode 2 Jedi Starfighter. The bits about other Kaminoans coming in Cad Bane’s Ship or some of the other sets? That’s speculation.
  7. I mean, TBOBF is the only Star Wars show that I’d consider to be a dud so far, for Disney+ anyway. Both seasons of The Mandalorian were fantastic in my opinion, and aside from Resistance, I’ve really enjoyed all of the animated content in the past couple years. (Though The Bad Batch did take some time to grow on me.) Also, the showrunner Deborah Chow directed two of what I consider to be the best episodes of The Mandalorian, Chapters 3 and 7, so it’s got that going for it. I’m honestly far more interested in more shows than Lucasfilm doing more movies at this point. Even though I enjoyed Rogue One and Solo, I don’t care about more spin-off films (like what Rogue Squadron seems to be) or any other saga-related stuff that half the fanbase will just end up incessantly hating and complaining about. Still crossing my fingers that that Inquisitor ship from the concept art will be one of the $100 sets this summer.
  8. Well hot damn. Seeing as how the set number/price for the AT-TE is up in the air, I can't help but wonder if the Cad Bane set is listed for the wrong one perhaps. It'd make a lot more sense, especially with how risk averse Lego has been to doing sets for the animated shows since the Rebels underperformed sadly. *sigh*
  9. Same, I agree with like everything you say here. AOTC is easily my least favorite Star Wars movie but it is also the Star Wars movie I have the least sets for. Come to think of it, the only AOTC sets I actually own are three of the 2018 Jedi/Clone Battle Pack and the 2017 starfighter with hyperdrive (plus the 2013 Padme figure I have from Bricklink as well as those three new Clone Command Stations I have on backorder). It'll be nice to bolster that part of my Lego Star Wars collection, especially if we are getting a new AT-TE and Gunship. Those 2013 versions are some of my white whales and came out before I became a Star Wars fan. Also, I'd prefer a new Bounty Hunter Pursuit over another Slave One/Firespray. (A recolored version could be cool but I was already hesitant to get the 2021 version since I own the UCS. I don't know if I need three versions of this ship.) If we're getting Obi-Wan's Starfighter anyway, Lego could just omit him here and throw in Jango if they want to have all the main characters from the film available.
  10. Damn, I already have the 2017 Starfighter with Hyperdrive (granted, I wasn’t super satisfied with the starfighter itself) but now I need to get this new version too. (Unless I can get the fig for super cheap on Bricklink.) Can’t believe that we’re finally getting a Lego Kaminoan!
  11. I honestly think that was more just Lego making an excuse tbh. It could also be based on Season 2. I probably would have preferred Crosshair’s Shuttle as another large Bad Batch set, but I’ll take it! Hopefully at some point we also get some sort of army-builder or battle pack for the Phase Two Clones that are prominent in the show, or any of the awesome new trooper designs like the Elite Squad or TK Troopers. Promobricks also said that there could possibly be a Gunship to go along with the AT-TE this summer too. If that’s true, this wave will become LEGENDARY.
  12. Promobricks released part of the Summer 2022 set list. 75253 is Cad Bane’s Ship. 753332 is a 4+ AT-ST. 75333 is a Jedi Starfighter. 75335 is a buildable BD-1. 75336 is an AT-TE. 75340 is the Advent Calendar as speculated. I’m surprised that the biggest non-D2C set this year will be Bad Batch based but I’m cool with that. Presumably we’ll also finally be getting our Omega figure there if Season One’s anything to go by. I was predicting an AT-TE for this summer, so I’m glad to see I was correct. I imagine it’ll be based on AOTC, as will the Jedi Starfighter. Hopefully we get new versions of Count Dooku and Episode 2 Anakin. And YES!!! We’re finally getting Fallen Order Lego. Looks like @jdubbs really was hinting at something when he quoted my post a few weeks back. Hopefully we get some minifig-based sets as well! Makes sense for Lego to do it this summer since the game was originally rumored to be coming this summer, but seems to have been pushed back to late this year/sometime in 2023. As someone who is primarily collecting from the Disney+ shows now, I hope some/most of the rest will be Kenobi/Andor based but we’ll see!
  13. I think what you’re seeing is more so the result of the cultural shift over the last few years. Star Wars isn’t top dog anymore, Marvel and Fortnite are what a lot of the kids are into now. In spite of this shift, The Mandalorian has still been a colossal success with people of all ages and there are tons of videos of kids getting excited to see Rey, Kylo and BB-8 at Galaxy’s Edge. Now that we’ve seen every episode of The Book of Boba Fett (Season 1?), I really don’t see what else the $60 set can be besides:
  14. I mean, the show is reported to be doing very well in ratings so I doubt the set will flop. Besides, after tomorrow’s finale, some of the gripes people have with the show itself may very well dissipate and be forgotten about when this set releases in a few weeks. (Yes, I’m being optimistic.) Wouldn’t surprise me. Lego/Lucasfilm/Disney were likely wanting to coordinate this reveal with the finale of the show or with the “Bonus Bounties” merchandise campaign Star Wars.com has got going on. If memory serves correct, I think this is the first full Lego Star Wars set leak we’ve gotten in 2022 surprisingly, so kudos to them for keeping the January and other March sets under wraps I guess. As for my thoughts on the set itself, I dig it but do find the build to be kinda… boring. It lacks the roundness of Jabba/Boba’s Palace and the rectangular sections of the build looks too similar to one of the Mos Eisley Cantina sets to be honest. I’d say the 2012 Jabba’s Palace is probably better overall, but this set has the advantage of a better dais/throne and not being super expensive on the secondary market. I’m still getting it, as I do still like this set in spite of its flaws and I intend to stick to my goal of getting every Star Wars Disney+ set, excluding the helmets. I just probably won’t rush out to get this one like I was previously planning on; I’ll most likely just pick it up in June along with the mystery $60 TBOBF set. I’ll just prioritize the Imperial Light Cruiser, Bad Batch Shuttle and some bigger purchases in the meantime. And as for the minifigures, I think seven is a pretty generous amount for a $100 set. I don’t have many ROTJ sets surprisingly, so it’ll be nice to get updated versions of Bib Fortuna, the Gamorrean Guard and some of the other aliens like the amazing new Quarren. From what I can tell, the Fennec hair piece and face look nothing like her imo. Maybe The Bad Batch version but definitely not the live-action counterpart. That’s a bit of a bummer. And is it just me or does the printing on Boba’s helmet look updated? I have the 2021 version and the visor definitely doesn’t contrast with the red like that. (I think some of the printing on mine is messed up actually, you can see some of the sand green mixed with the black visor printing when you shine a light on it.) The dent on the helmet looks kinda different here too, but maybe I’m just seeing things.
  15. I honestly wouldn’t mind this. I liked the look of Ajan Kloss (especially in Battlefront 2) and TROS Leia and Rose are some of the few notable ST characters we’re still missing.
  16. Probably because revealing it next week when the season finale comes out will draw the most attention, even if it's not technically based on this show. The Star Wars website is also doing "Bonus Bounties" which are essentially a continuation of the "Bring Home the Bounty" campaign they had going on last fall/early winter leading up to the start of the series. We'll likely see the set either early next week or the week after. I'm sure we'll probably get a full leak before then regardless, like what happened with the Bad Batch set last year when its reveal was tied to that show. I could be wrong though; come to think of it, we never got leaked pictures for any of the other 2022 Star Wars sets (so far at least).
  17. Here in the US, the last $25 Star Wars set I remember is the Duel on Naboo from 2017. So not quite ten years, though it having been five still blows my mind. (I don’t know where the hell the last five years have gone.) It was a nice price point they had for a couple years with sets like Obi-Wan’s Interceptor and the Carbon Freeze Chamber but Lego got rid of it unfortunately. Side note, but I miss when Walmart immediately put sets for 20% off or more as soon as they came out. It takes a while for them to give anything a discount anymore, or at least in my area. The last wave that they immediately discounted on release day was Triple Force Friday; I actually ended up doing a good amount of my shopping there and got the rest of the wave at the Lego Store. The January 2020 wave was the first time in a while that I noticed Walmart not discounting sets right off the bat. COVID obviously hasn’t helped matters, and now great clearance deals are far and few between.
  18. I can barely kinda see it but I think a full-on molded Rancor would be too much to dream for in this set. We’re already getting seven minifigs in a $100 set, most of which are new and a lot of which will include new molds. While the reported PPP ratio doesn’t seem particularly great, it just seems like “too good of a value” to have a giant molded Rancor included as well. I’m still calling that the unknown $60 TBOBF set releasing in June will somehow include a Rancor, whether it be a Rancor Pit that connects to the Palace or some other build.
  19. That honestly looks pretty good. I’ve kinda already got my Lego budget set for 2022 but I might get this eventually. The build doesn’t look as boring as I thought it would, and Lego added a lot of extra detail to make it stand out. The detailed base is neat and I was not expecting to get a minifig and little Asgard trophy room. Very cool inclusions. It looks like a pretty solid display piece overall and it would go well on the Marvel display I’m planning on making when I finally get the Infinity Gauntlet this summer. My only nitpick is, well, the hair and face on Thor. For nostalgia purposes, I can understand why Lego kept the same exact hair piece and color from the 2012 sets, but it’s still inaccurate as ever. I also don’t think reusing the Endgame Thor face works for a pre-Endgame Thor. His beard should look different and I’m also not crazy about the cartoonish smile. It kinda worked for those Infinity Saga sets last summer but its reuse here is a bit lame. Like I said though, those are just nitpicks. I think it’s cool that we’re finally getting a Thor minifig based off his first movie.
  20. Wow, us Lego Star Wars fans are eating good today! Myself included, I got my three Hoth Accessory Sets and Ahsoka Brickhead today. Getting the less exciting stuff out of the way, or less exciting for me anyway, the new helmets revealed the other day are cool. Luke’s might even be the best one yet. I think I’m done getting Lego helmets though; I got Boba Fett’s for “free” with my VIP Points and enjoyed it. I eventually got the Stormtrooper for 20% off but didn’t feel like I got a great value even for that price. I’m definitely content with that part of my Lego Collection. And now that I’m collecting actual, wearable helmets (I got the Black Series Mando one for Christmas and plan on getting Luke’s helmet at Galaxy’s Edge), I just don’t really have the need for Lego versions. Looks like the Mando and Dark Trooper helmets are going to be exceptions to my goal to have every wide-release Lego Mandalorian set. The Dark Trooper Attack set looks fantastic. The more I look at it, the more I like it. This set balances between being a fun play piece and a nice diorama. That box art is also gorgeous, especially with Mando and Grogu on there. I’m really glad Lego changed things up with the Star Wars box art this year; the white brick-built design was getting old. The figures are also great. Getting more of that awesome Dark Trooper in a cheap set is awesome. I’m also very impressed that Lego went all out with new torso and leg printing for Luke. The Final Duel figure would have been okay, though a lot of us are sick of getting that same exact one since 2015. Allow me to put my tinfoil hat on for a second, but I can’t help but wonder if we’re getting a ROTJ set this summer so Lego can reuse this new figure. (Fingers crossed for MBS Endor.) Chances are that I’ll get two of this set to make both sides of the hallway, and I might even Bricklink some extra Dark Troopers and those panel prints/stickers to expand it even further. Overall, I say that this set continues the streak of The Mandalorian consistently bringing us great sets. (Well, besides Trouble on Tatooine. That one was definitely pretty meh.) I wouldn’t be surprised to see leaked or official pictures of Boba Fett’s Palace within the next day or two. I’m excited to see it!
  21. Meh. While the Infinity Gauntlet appeals to me (I still need to get it), I just don’t have much of a desire to get a brick-built Thor’s hammer. Easy pass for now at least, though who knows? Maybe I’ll be blown away by the set.
  22. Dammmmmn, as someone who’s primarily a Marvel guy, I still feel a lot of sympathy for you DC fans. It seems like everyone was on board with a Tower of Fate set and now it seems to be another boring 18+ sculpture. Not even a DC one either. Meanwhile Marvel’s getting at least three $100+ sets this year just off the top of my head. I can’t be the only one to find it odd that a lot of the rumors Fulcrum has been corroborating recently have turned out to be false. Phase One Rex/Cody, the Mario minifigure six pack and now this set. There were also those other CMF rumors that proved to be false (four series a year and Marvel Series 2 this year) but I’m not 100% sure if they reported on those or not.
  23. This was definitely my favorite episode of The Book of Boba Fett so far and up there with some of my favorite Mandalorian episodes. It didn’t do a ton of favors for the overarching storyline of this particular series, however, but I honestly don’t really mind. As for possible Lego set discussion, I’m still expecting some sort of Rancor based set for the $70 TBOBF slot in June. I’m also hoping for a Lego Mantis with the Fallen Order sequel/spin-off news. It’s the one major Star Wars property not to have gotten any Lego sets in the last couple years and I really loved the first game. Fingers crossed that it’s the $160 set this summer, though I really doubt it. Maybe next year…
  24. I was planning on sitting it out from Ninjago this year but these descriptions sound very interesting. DOTD-done-right is something that I’ve been wanting for years and it seems like that might be what’s happening here. I only really skimmed the descriptions of the sets themselves but the figures (and what they mean for the overarching Ninjago storyline) sound intriguing. Hopefully we get some Star Wars and Marvel news soon!
  25. I enjoyed the Battle of Scarif set when it was still out, especially because I got it for 20% off, but I wouldn’t pay much more for it. I ended up disassembling it because it was a great parts pack, so I’d recommend just Bricklinking the figures at this point. The exclusive Cassian and Shoretrooper are great!
