  1. Just went to Hollywood Studios/Galaxy’s Edge this week and naturally had a couple set ideas. Starspeeder 1000 ($40): The build would just be the main Star Tours vehicle. Minifigures would include C-3PO, R2-D2, Star Tours cast member (New!) and AC Pilot Droid (New!). Black Spire A-Wing ($30): Red version of 75248 as seen at the park. Minifigures would be Nien Nunb (New!), CB-23 (New!) and Commander Pyre (New!). Oga’s Cantina ($40): I actually didn’t get to go inside of here, but from pictures online: the build could primarily be the main bar area and the DJ stage behind it, with some walls around it all. Minifigures would include Hondo Ohnaka (New!), Dok Ondar (New!), a build for DJ-R3X and a bartender (New!) TIE Echelon ($90): Comes with an updated version of TFA/Galaxy’s Edge Kylo Ren (New!), Captain Cardinal (New!), General Hux and two First Order Stormtroopers.
  2. Really excited for Kenobi, I hope to get some really cool figures and sets out of this. As a fan of pretty much all the major stories featuring Inquisitors (Rebels, Fallen Order, Charles Soule’s Darth Vader comics), I’d love to get everyone of them in Lego form someday, as unlikely as it is. I feel confident about this show being a hit at least and Lego giving us a couple sets out of it. Hopefully that means we can get some synergy with a Second Sister figure if and when we get minifigure-based Fallen Order sets. Maybe this show will better our chances of getting an Aunt Beru (as well as a new Uncle Owen) as well.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/282944742411880/posts/sanctum-sanctorum-moc-made-by-alex-alexgiacono-its-a-real-beauty-yes-lego-master/723860951653588/ Something like this minus a floor perhaps? For some reason, I think we’ll see the trees out front with a feature to knock them over perhaps. Floors will probably be the main entrance with stairs, maybe a room with the Rotunda gateways as stickered pieces and then the top floor could be the room with all of the mystical artifacts. Maybe Strange’s bedroom where he wakes up from his nightmare in the trailer as well. As for side builds, I think we’ll finally get a proper portal by Lego.
  4. Well, I’ll be damned. I thought that Republic Fighter Tank was a load of Bantha Poodoo from the beginning, but looks like I was wrong. This has been one hell of a strange year for Lego leaks. The clones themselves look fantastic but I’m questioning why we’re getting these over other legions? The Bad Batch is still going and has so much potential for amy builder sets with not just the TK Troopers and Elite Squad Troopers, but also Coruscant Guard and plain P2 Clones getting a chance to shine. There’s also a good amount of demand for more 332nd Clones or 212th Troopers in the newer clone style. Heck, Mace was leading a completely different division of clones with brown accents in TCW S7. Oh well, I’m not going to focus too much energy onto worrying about what we could’ve gotten. These are still pretty neat I suppose. While I won’t be buying as many of this set as the 501st Legion, I’ll probably get at least three of the set to add to my Republic army. This year has been a blessing for people wanting to get into army building like me.
  5. I’m not judging the movie, I was talking about its perception. Just because I haven’t experienced something doesn’t mean I can’t know the culture surrounding it. Indy-related question for y’all; if and when Lego makes more Indy sets, do you think they are going to make different Indy variants for each film? When I say Indy figure, I’m talking about his main, iconic look with the leather jacker, satchel and fedora. Obviously he had other costumes in each movie like his tux from Temple of Doom or his Venice outfit from TLC that we could probably see in the theme’s reboot, but I’m talking about the main outfit here. Even though his costume looks very similar in each film, there are some small differences to be found. The last time Lego did Indy sets, they just used the same figure for all four films, even though he was much older in the last one.
  6. I think Lego just made this one big since it’s the Razor Crest’s replacement in-universe and will probably be the new Lego Mandalorian flagship set to replace 75292 when that retires this year. This reminds me of when that convincing Tobey Maguire toy “showed up” at Target around the time the NWH teaser leaked last year. The pieces themselves look plausible but I’m questioning the credibility of the person posting pictures of them.
  7. Promobricks said that it comes with a plaque and a brick-built Awesome Mix Volume 2 Mixtape. Fingers crossed for a new Baby Groot figure to go with the plaque like what they did with Grogu but seeing as how Promobricks didn’t say anything about one, I doubt it.
  8. Honestly same, I feel that this might be one of the darkest films Lego has done wide release sets for. I really enjoyed the film, especially the first 2/3s of it. My interest in 76183 has gone up now, especially because I thought that it cost $100 this whole time when it’s actually only $80.
  9. I mean, I’ve never seen it personally (some of my relatives love it though), but from what I can tell, it’s just a very irrelevant property and I don’t think there’s much hype, if any, for the sequels that have been constantly pushed back for years on end. To be fair, Indy isn’t super relevant either at the moment but from anecdotal experience, I see more love for any of the original Indy movies and more hype for #5 than any discussion about Avatar or its sequel. That’s honestly what I was initially predicting if Lego Indiana Jones ever were to return. I’d guess that most of the sets sold will be to AFOLs versus kids, but now that more “18+” sets are sold at regular retailers like Target, I guess there’s no need.
  10. Honestly, my wallet will be kinda happy if Lego Indy does get pushed back until next year. It’s already going to be such an expensive year with me collecting Lego Star Wars and Marvel, plus a couple other things on top of that. I guess I’ll just be waiting for a solid confirmation that Indy is 100% returning at some point this year or next year and not just a “probably”. I just find it funny that the Coconut theme, that was rumored to be for one of my favorite film series of all that, will instead be based on Avatar, a film “series” I have 0 interest in.
  11. Fingers crossed we get another Endgame set or two this summer. Probably for the best that Lego didn't do those figures in an accessory set as there'd probably have to be more compromises compared to a wide release set.
  12. Wrong outfit for Valkyrie (from Endgame) and I find it weird that Thor doesn’t come with Stormbreaker, but for $15, this pack is a pretty good value. This will be my first Valkyrie figure and I’ll be able to add the Chitauri, Korg and Miek to my Endgame Final Battle display. I’ll probably pick this up whenever I get the Sanctum Sanctorum or Daily Bugle from the Lego Store at some point this summer.
  13. I should be seeing it on Thursday. Hopefully I really enjoy it; I might buy the Train Station/Bat Cave if I do.
  14. If those Fountain of Youth rumors are true, maybe Indiana Jones and The Fountain of Youth? I liked that supposed “Empire of Evil” title from a while ago, as generic and Star Wars-y as it is. Maybe something definitively stating that this is the last cinematic outing of Indy like “The Final Adventure” or something. Lego leaks have been so messy this year. I guess whoever Lego hired to start cracking down on leaks must be doing a decent job.
  15. Eh, the game was surprisingly a pretty big success and massively exceeded EA’s expectations. It’s gotten a lot of Black Series figures recently and I’ve always felt like Lego sets would do pretty well; I’m more surprised that they haven’t done anything sooner. I guess after a while, it made sense for Lego to just wait and release sets based off the first game to coincide with the second game, which was reportedly supposed to launch around the same time this August wave is releasing. They could have done some sets at some point last year maybe but I guess Lego was wanting to avoid what happened with the one Battlefront 2 set they did (the Inferno Squad Battle Pack) which didn’t seem to sell the greatest and came out too long after the game launched. That designer’s quote about the Darksaber is interesting. I wonder if another possible factor was that Lego wanted to maintain consistency with the Darksaber included with the Imperial Light Cruiser last year. For as much grief that people like to give to Lego for “not listening to the fans”, I think they do a better job than people give them credit for. If we get a Mando-centric wave during Summer 2023 with sets based on Season 3, kinda like what they did last year, it wouldn’t surprise me if they made room in the budget for a new mold.
  16. I’m guessing they wanted to reveal a set along with the trailer? I don’t know why they wouldn’t just save the bigger, cooler set for that purpose though. It’s very odd.
  17. @the.brick.wolf on Instagram bought the second Thor: Love and Thunder set, 76207 Attack on New Asgard, at an airport before it even leaked. It comes with three figures: Thor, The Mighty Thor and Gorr… who are all seemingly the exact same as the Goat Boat. The build is pretty strange too, looks like something out of Hidden Side. Very disappointing in my opinion.
  18. That post was from a leak parody account. It’s a tongue in cheek joke.
  19. Figure lists of rumored sets are always nebulous. The reported figure list of Boba’s Palace changed a few times, I’m sure this set could be the same case. I don’t see us getting this piece in a Kenobi set this year if at all. Assuming again that this is intended to be a Force Ghost piece. I’d be surprised if we didn’t see at least one Kenobi set this year, the show has a lot of hype surrounding it and there’s a lot of cool stuff Lego could do. I’ve been predicting the Inquisitor Shuttle from the sizzle reel, it’d go well with a Second Sister figure if/when they do more Fallen Order sets. I’m not sure about Bad Batch Season Two; Cad Bane’s Ship may very well be a Season Two set. I could see us getting one or two other sets off the show this summer but no guarantees that they’ll be based on Season Two. Lego might just be a year behind making sets for each season of the show. I feel like we may have to wait until 2023 to get Andor sets. The only Star Wars/Disney+ show Lego has made sets for before the show started was Mandalorian Season One, and that was because of Triple Force Friday. Andor seems to be starting in the fall so I’m not sure if we’ll be seeing any sets yet, but since Lego hasn’t skipped any of the major Star Wars shows yet, and since this show seems to be running for multiple seasons, we’ll get Andor sets eventually.
  20. I don’t think it was ever definitely stated that we were only getting Luke, R2 and Yoda, just that those were the only “for sure” ones and thus were the only ones listed. I remember that with Luke’s X-Wing from 2021, only he and R2 were initially rumored. I don’t doubt that he’ll make an appearance, I hope so especially because I just finished reading Master and Apprentice and really enjoy the character, but what I do doubt is that he’d come in a Lego set so soon. I doubt Lego would know about Qui-Gon being in the show beforehand and even if they did, I don’t see them prioritizing him over more “cool, playable” characters like whatever Inquisitors we get in this show. I have mixed feelings on the piece itself. I don’t think it looks bad, but I don’t feel that it looks particularly “ghosty” (which was likely deliberate so that Lego can use the piece in other scenarios) and I also think the lack of posability is a missed opportunity. How are we supposed to recreate the ICONIC scene of Obi-Wan sitting on a log in ROTJ? Also, would this piece work for Yoda with his ears and short height? Will they have to make a whole separate mold just to do a Yoda ghost from ROTJ or TLJ? Seems like a bit of a waste imo. My preferred method for doing Force Ghosts would have been to do the Ghost minifigs like the 2020 Moaning Myrtle figure from Harry Potter. Still, like I mentioned, I don’t think this looks bad and I think that it’s cool that you can get a normal and Force Ghost version of the character. This will likely be used for Ben Kenobi in the upcoming Dagobah set, hopefully we get Anakin and Yoda’s ghosts down the line, plus Luke and Leia’s spirits from TROS. Playing devil’s advocate though, how do we know for sure this is supposed to be a Force Ghost piece and not just a non-specific transparent piece, or rather how do we know that Lego is planning to use this new piece for Force Ghosts? I mean, it works like the Han Solo Carbonite mold, but besides that, what about it makes it seem likely to be used for Star Wars?
  21. I’m really sorry to hear that. I sincerely hope you and your friends are safe. Best wishes. … In lighter news, I’m very pleased with these new Marvel set rumors. I really love adding to my Iron Man Hall of Armor (I own two of the 2019 one and one of the 2020 expansion) so this set sounds right up my alley… once it is discounted of course. Getting a new War Machine (my first one unless you count Iron Patriot), Whiplash and some more Iron Man suits sounds great. The Baby Groot rumor is a little less exciting for me personally, but it still seems neat and I’ll probably get it as long as the build looks better than last month’s Iron Man. This and BD-1 will go well with my buildable Grogu. The Sanctum Sanctorum seems great. The more and more I look at the 2018 one, the more puny it looks. This one will likely eclipse it. I’ve never sold Lego before, but I’m honestly considering selling my 2018 Sanctum, and the 2020 Avengers Tower if that’s what the $500 set ends up being, to make space for this. (I’ll likely just part it out though, maybe keeping the Peter Parker apartment half intact to add to my MCU Spider-Man shelf.) The minifigure selection sounds fantastic as well, hopefully they’re all well detailed. I’m also excited by the confirmation that this set is a continuation of this new Marvel Modular line-up. It’ll admittedly be a bit weird to have a comic-inspired Bugle next to an MCU Sanctorum (and possibly an MCU Avengers Tower as well), but I’m excited regardless. I’ll never be able to own all of the Creator Modulars, but with this being a new series, I think I’ll be able to keep up.
  22. It’s probably just a glitch, nothing to worry about. We’re fine, we’re all fine here now. Thank you. How are you? Also FYI the Dark Trooper set has shown up at Costco along with Boba’s Palace in the US.
  23. Eh, a primate’s a primate as far as I’m concerned lol. I did almost get that polybag a couple months ago but didn’t want to wait in the huge line at Target. I haven’t really seen it since.
  24. Pretty cool set! I almost feel like the box pictures don’t do the set justice, the boat looks very long in some of the IRL shots. The figures look great, though Gorr looks very bland. The goats are… interesting, but not bad by any means. I’ll probably pick this one up!
  25. I’m sure the sets are going to be based on the films themselves, I think what they’re trying to say is that the “Coconut” codename is a reference to the old Lego game. I think it’s a bit of a stretch, but that’s such a fun, deep-cut connection, I really love it.
