  1. I got the instructions and placed orders for the pieces for the Bricklink MOC Pop-up Store Glass Studio modular last night. There are several modulars on there, but this one looks so lovely. I like the colour blocking, height variation, shaping, and all the details in it. I hope that the building experience holds up to the aesthetics. [Glass Studio] [BrickLink]
  2. Can you imagine someone starting at post #1 and reading all the way through to catch up?! Thanks for updating it though.
  3. They didn't release the winter one in the US last year, so I hope we get the new version this year.
  4. It feels like a shame that the skull and footprint aren't to the same scale. That's cheaping out on parts to make the footprint smaller.
  5. Sigh. I was going to get something from the Bricklink MOC Pop-up store and use Pick a Brick for a bunch of it to make up my order for the last chance PaB items. And that feature is now disabled 'for maintenance'. How irritating. It was such a good idea to be able to add a large list to PaB all in one go. Frustrating.
  6. Somewhat disappointing, but at least there won't be much pressure to get it for something exclusive.
  7. You had me excited for a moment there!
  8. Oh wow, some of those didn't last long. That settles putting an order in now vs waiting for VIP weekend. Over 2000 items going. That's an impressive number being removed.
  9. I've enjoyed reading all the posts, but, sadly, you are all wrong. The best LEGO pirates ship is 6274 Caribbean Clipper. Specifically my 6274 Caribbean Clipper, which has brought a huge amount of joy through the years, and no one will convince me otherwise.
  10. The Palace Cinema appears to be something that may be more accessible on the secondary market. Over the years I've had one for $150 (recently) and one for $100 (a while ago). If you are happy to wait and watch, it may be worth seeing it something comes up. Although it will likely depend on whether you have a large city nearby to source it from. I think the sticker sheet and the red baseplate are probably the things that cost the most. I've put my Palace Cinema on a MILS plate and used red tiles on the ground floor, which I really like, and would be a lot cheaper than a red baseplate. Good luck and have fun! (I didn't have the 2x2 cut tiles to fill in the gaps when I took this photo, but you get the idea).
  11. He's a stickler for the rules and runs a tight ship. He insists on everyone following the proper procedures - and he leads by example.
  12. I actually rather like it. Goes nicely with the village market to expand it a bit, and add something to complement the various additional pieces of scenery they've done through the years.
  13. The film noir detective may not have a use in a set, but honestly, I really like it. Especially with the red herring. Such a good pun. I just feel a bit sad that they didn't update the fish mould to a more modern style. I really dislike that fish and this would have been a great opportunity to do something with it. Oh well.
  14. Yes, the hot dog van is the rumoured GWP for the modulars.
  15. I don't want to rain on the parade, but I think it's different. Minecraft can be really anything. Sonic feels a bit more limited in it's range - yes, I know there's loads of it - and with everything so far pretty much focused on Green Hill Zone, I can't see them making a whole wave per level over ten years. And if they stick with the launcher game mechanic (which is a great idea), then it may tail off in popularity, as it's expensive for what you're getting.
  16. My first thought was 'curry' when I read that, TBH...
  17. A cat in a different pose might be nice though. That's asking a lot, given the number of animals with no representation. But it's a common animal in the LEGO City world, and there are several cat moulds in Friends.
  18. My first glance initial thought was that it was a new type of goat too!
  19. It goes well with the Jazz Club to my mind. The moving truck goes well with the Bookshop/townhouse. The taxi was released with the Boutique Hotel, but also available again a year later. The GWPs don't always seem to fit directly with the modulars, but I'm glad we get them. And it's made worse by being so wide. It definitely needs something. a load of ivy climbing up it will be pretty easy to do, but a shame they didn't do it in the set. The Parisian Restaurant did it, to break up the olive rear wall too.
  20. It looks good in that video 'in real-life'. The ground floor tiling is nice, and the details inside look delightful. Bit of a shame that so many of the recolours for this are specifically for olive green. I would love to have seen some of the other colour concepts, if they did them. But presumably they figured it was best.
  21. That lifestyle photo with the van also makes it look good. But still not convinced when it's with other modulars, as it feels a bit too small, and the colour is maybe a bit too dull. Happy to get another six-wide classic vehicle though.
  22. Well that's curious. They normally do reveals at 9:00 ET, don't they? Maybe it's not coming today.
  23. The barbarian in the CMF compliments this nicely too. And the gamer champion has an interesting blue torso with a black bird on it. Possibly could be repurposed into something special/different for a Black Falcon figure?
  24. On the one hand, that would be good, as it's likely going to be on PaB, so you can get more and not have to go through razy hoops to get many of the CMF. On the other hand, it would be a shame to reuse a torso for a medieval civilian and not get more variety. Pink and purple goats too! I'd love them to make pigeons and ducks. Also a shame that they didn't update the fish to a more modern style. Film noir detective with a red herring is a fabulous pun, but I really dislike that old fish mould.
