  1. It surely couldn't be anything else?!
  2. I would be surprised if they did more Vikings stuff soon, and instead focus on other retro themes - whether historical or not.
  3. Might be an unpopular opinion, but the modulars before Parisian Restaurant feel much more basic and less satisfying compared to the modern modulars. If you can get them cheap, then certainly, but I would personally go for the modern ones for the building experience and level of detail. Parisian Restaurant, Detectives Office, Brick Bank, and Assembly Square are excellent though (of the ones you don't have). Definitely get Assembly Square before retirement, if you can. Don't overpay for the others, but if a deal comes along, you'll have a great time with them. This makes a lot of sense, having a halo set to bring people in during January. And then decent GWPs in February to do the same thing. If they do release it earlier, I wonder if it's an attempt to bring more revenue into 2023, although a single modular set is probably a fraction of a percentage of their total, so unlikely.
  4. Yes. Thanks. Looks like I'm putting together a Bricklink order then.
  5. Just while it's being mentioned, does anyone know if these are listed on LEGO Pick a Brick anywhere and not under the 6380020 element number? Or do I have to go to Bricklink to get some?
  6. I'm stunned that it's only a $100 threshold. I figured it would be far higher, and the only Disney thing on my wish list was the camera, so I got that the other day with the 100 year celebration projector GWP, and it's just arrived. I have the Ideas Steamboat Willy though, so that will likely be enough for me. Very interesting though.
  7. Hopefully OK as it's a link to a channel, nothing specific. But if you sort by most recent, it comes up (2 hours ago from now) - Brick Clicker - YouTube
  8. Brick Clicker has said in his latest video that the original plan was to reveal the set on Oct 4 (for release on Nov 1). If it doesn't come on Wednesday, then it's likely delayed until December or January.
  9. @Brick Clicker's latest video says the next modular should be revealed on October 27, and available for pre-order, coming with a repeat of the moving van (which is also available with any of the other modulars). Very interesting, given that they are generally so good at keeping the modulars under wraps. I wonder why they'll reveal it early this year?
  10. @Brick Clicker's latest video shows the new BAM figures, from October 1. Nothing much to get excited about, sadly. A new suit torso and dark blue mermaid tail print. A dirty chef's torso (only seen the clean one before?), and the acorn hat from the CMF.
  11. Oh! That makes more sense. Still think you've contributed to animals being up there in the sales figures...
  12. Oh wow, what fun! I can't believe it's anything other than brick as bestselling, for the sheer number of bricks compared to figures or animals. But you alone @Roebuck may be responsible for half the animal sales, so I'll say that!
  13. As long as it also includes a Joker...
  14. With the Bricklink MOC Pop-up shop, I like the way they can send the parts list to Pick a Brick. It is a bit frustrating that there isn't an option to just get everything from Pick a Brick, but I can understand why they didn't want to do that and support marketplace sellers. However, I wonder if it points to eventually being able to point Bricklink wish lists to Pick a Brick, which would be very convenient.
  15. There were some transparent pieces that I thought might have been 3D printed for the concept too. But yes, likely some non-produced parts, but that doesn't mean they couldn't in the future. It would also just be good to see what they had in the interior and get a better sense of the model with instructions. Or maybe a more detailed overview and photo collection.
  16. It looks really good, and it would be amazing if they released instructions for it, but I agree that the realized model is better, as the detail is more interesting, any it has greater presence due to the additional height. Love that they kept the visual style and color palette the same though.
  17. I would be surprised if they chose to release play sets now. Targeting children with these sets is unlikely to bring new kids to LEGO, and do for those that do get sets, they are probably just moving spend from one then to another. Whereas, if they do teen/adult focused D2Cs or dioramas, then there's a lot more teens/adults who won't be into LEGO who are likely to buy into the new theme. Especially if they can do a lower price point option. I could see a case for battle packs, add they have potential to be bought in large numbers by T/AFOLs.
  18. If you choose the 'this is a gift' option, they will always ship it in a cardboard box.
  19. Ooh, glow in the dark carrots!
  20. That's a real shame, as it would have been a great Christmas activity. Still, as long as it's not cancelled, there is always the Christmas after.
  21. It's such a great set, and actually nice that they've done it at this scale for this price, rather than go crazy and make $200. Of course, at this size and price there's always the temptation to get two or three.... No, one will DEFINITELY be enough!
  22. You know, I don't even mind that much about the trio appearing a lot, because they are often varied, they appear in those scenes, and you get a load of other characters too for variety. It is, as you say, pretty good. In fact, in a decent number of sets where you do get them, they're essentially other characters through polyjuice potion, so ignore the alternate face and you don't even have them there. They're definitely doing a great job on that front. The insistence of shoehorning lead characters that aren't connected to sets in other themes is very frustrating though. As is focusing on things related solely to lead characters at the expense of variety.
  23. I don't care what figures they produce in 2024, as long as there is an Owen Grady in a Jurassic World set and a Batman and Joker combo. The fans are crying out for these and they don't even appear in sets that they have nothing to do with!
  24. The interior of the lodge looks good. Much nicer than I expected for the depth of the building at the top, and the extended base at the bottom helps a lot. I think the small skating pond and jetty are lovely. Looking forward to it.
