Yes, I realize. But (and please forgive me the presumption) a flock of sheep on their own isn't that interesting. But you could do cool stuff with flowing green hills, or a busy farm yard, or sheep dog trials. And I was curious if there was a specific scenario for the flock to be in. Basically looking to see some cool MOC. -

I'm curious if you have any plans for so many sheep? Or do you think they'll be like goats and you're saving them for your pension? -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

That's a good idea. Although it's important to remember that all I've done is read the Promobricks article and this is the basic impression I formed of the shape in my mind from reading it. But yes, that would be useful space for an elevator, if they had this kind of floor plan. -

Nice idea, but the Gringots is not mine. Found it on Reddit. But the creator should definitely win! -

I thought Matthew Ashton said they would do any more sitcom sets while taking about Queer Eye. But they must be selling well. Snow White and the seven dwarfs is still under review too, so sounds like they want to make it if they can. And it's lovely, especially with the updated design. But another one that had to reach 10k twice. -

Forgive the very crude sketch, but when I read the description on Promobricks, this is what I had in mind. It's just how I interpreted it, but it would be a way to get a triangular building, gallery and roof terrace as they described, onto a baseplate that connects with others. -
where can I buy lego pieces that are discountinued
RichardGoring replied to fiachrab's topic in General LEGO Discussion
LEGO doesn't sell discontinued parts. You'll have to go to BrickLink for the largest selection of sellers. Some will have discontinued parts, and some of those will be new. But no one will have unlimited quantities, because the parts aren't being made anymore. -

Where do they use that language? On the blog post it doesn't have anything that suggests only a single set will be picked. However, that doesn't stop them picking only a single set! Some of the comments suggesting five sets are very optimistic. As nice as that would be. -

From the description, it sounds like it will be two triangular buildings next to each other, which form a standard square-ish footprint on the baseplate, so it will connect with others. But the second triangle (the art gallery) is only one story, so you get the effect of the hotel triangle. It sounds very cool, but, as you say, also very cramped inside if it's only a single baseplate. Much roomier if it's 1.5 baseplates. Either way, I'm sure they've figured it all out. Looking forward to it. -

The crazy thing (for LEGO) is that in the US (where I am) they don't charge shipping if you buy over $35. Of anything. So as long as there is a small-ish set you want, the cost doesn't factor into it. I now have a list of things that I'd like but aren't urgent, and will check stock levels when I do a standard order as well. -

Yes, sadly. I just don't like placing small orders because it seems so silly to get them to pack just a few pieces and ship them. However, given that they can't keep things in stock, maybe I shouldn't consider trying to be helpful like that! Will jump on it next time. -

They have postponed the announcement by a day to do a guessing game competition. https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/ab8bc94d-2389-4c11-9bc7-7182a9166d84 -

Curses! I started doing a large order this afternoon and the sheep were in stock, but the website crashed. Did it again this evening and no more sheep. Sigh. -

Santa’s Front Yard and Mr & Mrs Claus’s Living Room. I don't think there are details other than the names though. -
I found 31202 Mickey Mouse for half price in Wal-Mart today (I very rarely get the opportunity to go in) and decided to go for it and get two. Part of me really hopes that I don't thoroughly enjoy it and start getting more! Especially as the 21226 Create Together looks very cool.

More fabulous BAM parts today. The new wave has arrived into Boston in the US. The Northshore Mall store has them all mixed up now (it takes sooooo long to find everything), but some fabulous stuff. I got a few more hats instead of accessories this time.

Does that not sell well, or it's just on the list to retire next year? -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Yes, that's right. I got the instructions from Berthil on Rebrickable and sourced all the parts from genuine LEGO. It's definitely a MOC that's not always as stable as a LEGO set, but it's certainly wonderful design and I love having it. -

You could set them up as statues/models for children to play on. Perhaps coin operated rides at the market? As they're brick-built, they might fit in better with the other brick-built entertainment? -

It is my hope one day to have all four seasons done. I want to bulk out the foliage though, so have a load of the green three leaf studs for summer, and a mix of dark green, lime, yellow, and orange ones for autumn. I just need the winter stuff, which will also involve reworking the base, so more of a pain. But in my mind it looks excellent!
