  1. If it is a hotel, I hope it's different to Cafe Corner. I think they can do much better now.
  2. I've been struggling to get the sitcom scene sets. I have Central Perk, because it's cool and a good playset (my five year old enjoys it), but they take up so much space. But then I saw LegoArtisan's Sit-Complex and thought it was a great way to incorporate them all. I've spent the last month or so gathering pieces, but then new floors keep getting added as more sets are released. I'm hoping they'll put Queer Eye into this too. It's a nice way to preserve most of the original sets, while being able to stack them so they don't take up all the space. Visibility into each floor is good too. But now that it's starting to get really tall I may need to modify it further to make the left side look nicer higher up, as it will be visible. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-79570/LegoArtisan/friends-apartment/#details
  3. Boston North Shore. Yes, could well be. This is the problem with only a single data point!
  4. Just another data point, but I saw loads of Monkie Kid sets discounted at a local LEGO Store (Boston South Shore) yesterday. They had a table full of them, with a few Brick Sketches too. The only other sets I've seen on sale before like this recently are Hidden Side and Chinese New Year ones. I do hope that the Amazon tie in starts to broaden the awareness of these sets. Or it could just be this one store that ordered too many.
  5. Possibly. Although you might also look at where 'random' Disney sets would sit in the product line up. Does LEGO tend to do one off sets? I suppose Everything is Awesome is one. But are there many other mainstream ones? All the Disney stuff the to fit into a clear group. Winnie the Pooh doesn't fit in any of them, but works well in Ideas. I can see them going for more like this, where really there's only likely to be one or two possible sets. Ratatouille, Up, Monsters Inc, Wall-E for example. The fact that one if those already exists, but two of them have been rejected in no way undermines my argument! ;)
  6. Lego Artisan on Rebrickable has a MOC of this set to bring it in line with the winter village sets nicely. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-80404/LegoArtisan/hogsmeade-village-mod/#details
  7. Do you think someone added an extra 0 onto the end of the number of Santa Minifigures to make, so they're trying to shift them all?
  8. I placed an order August 15. Pick a Brick arrived September 7. Bricks and Pieces arrived September 9.
  9. It's 2064 pieces, so they've done it that way. Same as the Saturn V. It's also more memorable than the price and universal.
  10. Or that they're doing space as the 90th anniversary set, or it's space next year, or that they consider the City stuff to be space?
  11. There's a video that shows you can put Santa in the chimney and he drops down it. The fire is all on a bar that rotates down flat, so he comes out the fireplace easily. Very neatly done.
  12. I assume it's for 1-2 people to build? They're encouraging the idea of building together for people that don't think about it?
  13. They've put a video on YouTube that shows most of the unfolding and all of the folding. It's very neat. Glad it's all done with folding and not any attaching.
  14. I rather like it. I hope that the folding mechanism is elegant though. But I don't know if I'd want to spend $170 on it though, as compared to a modular, for example.
  15. Love it! The scale of the original cottage always felt a bit off compared to the other buildings. This looks perfect from the outside. A bit of a shame that it's not more closed in at the back, but then, that's what made the original feel too large and difficult to get into it. Just looking through the interior details, it's so nicely done. Really good stuff! Very tempted to get two of these and colour swap the blue walls on the second one.
  16. The full list is on Promobricks - https://www.promobricks.de/lego-creator-2022/130235/ The $50 tiger sounds interesting. That has potential to be pretty detailed. Viking ship is promising.
  17. Blue not black. Which is also in S18, isn't it? But yes, point stands, despite extreme pedantry from me. ;)
  18. I'm so pleased they did a colour option, like the original submission, and that it's not just a black guitar as was rumoured. It looks really good. The detail on the amp is nice too, and should be entertaining to build.
  19. Fabulous! Really nicely done.
  20. Lack of sets in the first wave and a terrible app experience are, for me, what led to it's downfall. I really love the sets, and wish that the app was so much better.
  21. Got the dark blueish grey cat at the LEGO store today, which was great. Didn't see any of the new figures though. Any idea when they might drive in the US?
  22. Ooh, that's a good idea, thanks.
  23. I'd be surprised. It's much smaller/cheaper than normal. It's not got the 18+ branding that they're now using for Winter Village. This seems to me to be the next Christmas Wreath that they did last year. A small-ish, $35 set that's more accessible and generic.
  24. Four in a relatively small set too. Although pricing will be interesting. You can get four from B&P for $20, so getting multiple of this set may not be the best way to army/herd build. But as a set, it's lovely.
