  1. Indeed, one M-motor as the one released in the new Minstorms Lego set (54696c01) would be great, in my opinion. But I really don't think that it would happen as, despite their obvious similarities, TLC already showed some reluctancy to mix electric components among these categories. Anyway, let's see!
  2. This is really cool. I particularly like the idea of exploring different setups for different purposes. I have never been inclined fair the 42099, but seeing these alternatives I'm having second thoughts. Many thanks for sharing this and congrats for the effort and success!
  3. Then the question would be how's much would be a battery replacement. But, anyway, I think that if the info is true, it should be -clearly- advised in the BW website.
  4. Hello, i am now learning how to design in Stud.io, and, up to now, everything went well. Until i had to put one PU motor (well, indeed, 8nof them), and found that, at least in the version (updated today) i have, they are not included in the pieces database. Then, i ask, is it possible to import it from somewhere else? Many thanks in advance!
  5. Comparing with 42114 (1 "servo motor", 1 L motor, 1 XL motor, 1 gearbox and the actuators), the new Zetros has 1XL motor (driving) and 1L motor (or steering motor) for steering. Given a similar price, I would expect a gearbox or diff lock and another XL motor for acceleration. Nevertheless, the 42114 counts with the actuators, bit seems that the Zetros will bring new tires. Anyway, let's wait until official description, but, honestly, I don't expect much complexity (in particular considering the last models on precedent years).
  6. Nevertheless, given the prices of the adaptors, I found better to get pu motors instead of the adaptors...
  7. Thanks a lot! Looks reasonable. Regarding the BuWizz brick delivery; how it was the issues-solving round? there's any expected delivery date? ps: yes, i'm truly forward having these on my hands ;)
  8. I have a question regarding the app. Would it be updated once the buwizz bricks are delivered, I mean, at the same time? Or may we expect some delay between the delivery and the availability of the app? I would be strange to have the bricks without the app to squeeze them! ;)
  9. What a disappointment. Unfortunately, it might be not a fake, as the upper part of the imaged indeed fits with the part we already saw in the Zetros image. But also, the size doesn't fit with the announced number of pieces, i don't know...
  10. Makes sense, thanks. It seems that two buwizz motors, with a high load will be close to the full capacity of the brick, which is already something! ;)
  11. Hi, Sorry to insist, but a single BuWizz 3.0 will be able to handle at full power 2 BuWizz motors AND additional motors his PU ports ? In such case, do you have any idea which motors could be added to the 2 BuWizz motors maintaining the full power in all of them? Or, by the contrary, any additional motor would prevent to develop 100% power in all motors implied?
  12. Well, I think that putting the price in context with previous models (42099, 42100), the Zetros will have 1 hub and, best scenario, 4 motors. To elucubrate about the functions is indeed rather the reflection of our desires than the real possibilities, in my opinion. So, to me, to consider that as a fair or not-that-fair price, will fall on the functions and, if at the end, they're indeed 4 motors.
  13. If we're going to have a new model of tyres, this is fine, ok. But, c'mon, this is a 300 EUR model, and from the image that we saw the best that we can expect is: 2x XL motors for drive 1x L motor or, more unlikely, the servo-like one (as in the 42114) for steering A gearbox managed by a L Motor (we already saw it in the 42114, so, it is feasible) Differential lock also managed by L motor. (Given that this one suposed to be for trial, this would not be totally discardable) So a total of 3 x L motors + 2 XL motors, which would require 2 Smart hubs. If this is the case, i think it may worth the prize. But, honestly, i think the diff lock won't happen, which will take out 1 L motor, 1 smart hub and one nice functionality. In such case, the model would be overprized, in my opinion. Anyway, let's see when we have more info of any kind.
  14. Thanks again for the comments and suggestions. Indeed, besides the possible functionality (which I think is very limited), it is just kind of a proof-of-concept. So, I will try the gearbox suggested (brunojj1's) and see how it performs :)
  15. Many thanks, the advice is indeed quite helpful! I already speeded up the gearbox, but with the same result. I am more thinking about trying to secure the gears by using companion gears. At the end, if I don't have any solution, I may end up removing the gearbox, yes. But the idea of the model was to put a bunch of functions together: a robust axle, a gearbox, independent suspension, Ackerman geometry, and high potency... But let's see what I can do. At the end, is my first MOC! ;)
  16. Hi everyone, I'm working in a MOC in which I would like to put a gearbox. Now, my option is Sariel's 4 sequential gearbox. Nerveless, because it's handling some torque (4 xl PU motors), some gears are slipering. So, I'm wondering about how can I increase the robustness of the gearbox or, if not possible, which are the most robust gear combinations. Many thanks for the advice!
  17. Mindblowing! Really cool! I am looking forward in testing this in some MOCs!
  18. The BuWizz will be shipped in April? (Sorry, is just to confirm that we're not talking about the Motor.)
  19. This is very nice, indeed. The 8868 is also one of my favorite models and was the last one before by dark age. Also, i was thinking about the same, converting to studless construction and make it again with the current pieces.
  20. I think that the incident with the Osprey was not because of the model itself, but with the builder company (Bell-boeing) and the considerations that paying the copyright to them would be understood as supporting a company with significant contributions to military industry. But, anyway, it's difficult to really differentiate this decision about the Osprey and other similar situations. About the Zetros, I think, similar rule may also apply. I hope not!
  21. Really cool, indeed, congrats! Do you considered to make the instructions?
  22. @Samolot, what are these shock absorbers? Many thanks!
