Technic Hall of Fame Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
WANTED: Hall of Fame Editor Maintaining the Hall of Fame is quite a bit of work and it is not hard to tell that I have neglected it a bit lately. And what's the use in having a lousy Hall of Fame?! So, I am looking for someone who is willing to maintain the Hall of Fame. What DOES it entail? Adding new models to the Hall of Fame Adding existing models to the Hall of Fame Updating the Hall of Fame index post Some other things that might come to mind, regarding the Hall of Fame What DOESN'T it entail? You don't have regulator rights You don't have moderator rights You don't have any rank How to apply? Send me a PM indicating why you would like to be responsible for the Hall of Fame and why I should pick you I will pick a member and post the outcome here! PS I won't go into elaborate discussions about the outcome, so please accept my choice without grudge. -

In this topic I would like to thank everyone for making the last few days into a fantastic event! It was really great to see some of you in person for a difference. I would like to especially thank Bonaparte and CopMike for doing what they did and thus for their prominent role in organizing this event. Big thumbs up  (also thanks to all other EB members who participated in organizing things and being there for us) Now it's....building time My backlog only grew bigger. Time to solve this issue.

I think creating an attraction with Lego Technic is all about making compromises. Unless you build in really large scale, there simply are complications to overcome, which will need some compromises. Starting out simple, possibly with 3 arms (or 4), instead of 6 might do the trick. Really looking forward to your progress! And welcome to EB -
I second (or third) this! But it depends on your goal. Do you want a great set or do you want more parts? 8043 is the best set when it comes to playability and (arguably) looks.

Jim replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I would like to know the Saturday schedule as well. We are contemplating driving home Saturday night/evening because of one of my travelers has a pregnant wife and two kids at home. So it would be easy for him to be home by Sunday morning. -
