Funny that you mention it! When I watched The Lego Movie, I noticed they built the bike with a different 40T gear. When looking at the actual set, they used the old one. In the movie it's clearly a different 40T gear!! And here it is (so it seems).....check out the Yellow 40T gear. I am talking about this bike: http://brickset.com/...per-Cycle-Chase Could the yellow version be used as a hub cap for the Volvo Unimog rims?

How are you guys doing with JFMAIR? I have had so little time the last two month that I am contemplating buying the 42025 this weekend and maybe do a review on it. That way I have at least contributed something to this theme period.

Is Lego cheaper in the Netherlands?
Jim replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Large88: True! So maybe it's not really fair to compare prizes, when we are getting Lego from another country. But still, Lego is widely available in The Netherlands for decent prizes, if you know how to use the proper channels. -

Lego is cheaper in The Netherlands (than in most of the other countries), when you don't buy it in toy stores. There are many online shops (who will probably buy Lego in Germany) who sell sets for very reasonable prizes. In my opinions we are in one of the top countries when it comes to the availability and pricing of Lego sets! *joy* I hardly ever buy Lego in a regular Toy Store or Retail Store. Germany is even better, but we can't complain!! -

Which Mindstorms Version to get
Jim replied to Bison's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Here's the verdict: EV3! Educational has more value for money, but you will need the software, which adds to the price. I would definitely NOT buy the RCX. What DrJB said And I do agree with JopieK that the Educational version is better. But to make your life easy, go for the Retail version. You can always buy the rechargeable battery later. And the IR modules are great fun to start with. -

Hi, Welcome to EB! Nice to see another EV3 MOC. I have built the Hitechnic Holonomic robot, which was fun to do. The Math behind it is very fascinating. https://www.hitechnic.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=HRC2148 -

Super Size Me - Building Instructions
Jim replied to arvo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, Great work! These mini's look awesome! Will the future instructions be $10 as well? Or will you be combining the different cars into some sort of pack? I am the last to complain about prices for building instructions, but $40 in total seems a bit steep. I am very interested in doing a (pictorial) review for these babies :) -
Let's end the off topic discussion about PF and stick to the 2014 models discussion!! Start a new topic if you want to discuss whether a PF model is more complex or not! Please don't use text style words like "ppl". Don't be too lazy to type people And please use proper capitalization (when beginning a sentence). You could choose other words to state your opinion, especially being a Lego Ambassador! Really looking forward to the pneumatic MODs some of you will be adding to the Bulldozer!

Hi, Welcome to EB!! That's a nice startup collection you've acquired -
Definitely! I....will....finish.....it..... I will try to create a WIP model without too much functions. Otherwise I will never get it done. From there I will continue to add all the functions.

Somewhere 2018 No fixed deadline. I must admit I haven't been able to continue my build, due to lack of time.
