  1. Definitely! I....will....finish.....it..... I will try to create a WIP model without too much functions. Otherwise I will never get it done. From there I will continue to add all the functions.
  2. Somewhere 2018 No fixed deadline. I must admit I haven't been able to continue my build, due to lack of time.
  3. Agreed!! I was looking at the date and suddenly noticed it's a MOC from 2009
  4. I think it will take some time. The best approach would (obviously) be to start simple and improve the software along the way. First have the bot navigate the room without hitting objects. This will be a challenge on it's own. Then you could add navigating to/searching for specific objects or IR sources. etc...
  5. Inevitability promoted to reality.... Frontpaged, added to Hall of Fame and rewarded!

  7. 2014 will be a Front Loader oriented year for Lego Technic! So, it's great to see this "old" MOC recently got revived. The reason? Plain awesomeness....and the availability of building instructions! Click here to read more.
  8. I've never thought about it too much, but why aren't there more Technic Police Cars, Fire Brigade Trucks etc?
  9. Of course there is also the Crawler Enforcer! http://rebrickable.com/sets/crazy_1993/highway-enforcer

  12. Basically, I am working on the same kind of robot. Well....I have started creating the robot, but it's collecting dust at the moment. My idea was to have the robot navigating the room, creating some sort of map. It should be able to see the Points of Interest (like the water bowl) and store the location. When you place the robot at a random place in the room, it should start navigating and at some point recognizing it's location, using the internal map. From that point it should be able to navigate to the water bowl etc. The NXT motors and sensors are compatible with the EV3 brick. http://robotsquare.com/2013/07/16/ev3-nxt-compatibility/

  15. Eurobricks member Sheo created this outstanding Lego Technic version of the Terex RH400 Mining Excavator. Like to know more?
  16. Hi, Welcome to EB! Check the catalogue on Bricklink: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8848-1 Is does indeed show the 3 Finger as an alternative part. So the answer would be, yes it was replaced.
  17. Non-lego parts guidelines are pretty much like contest rules. Custom strings, stickers, chrome parts etc are allowed, but no non-lego metal parts etc.
  18. Awesome! I would love to see it with a black top.
  19. Steven...Seven....what's in a name My bad!
  20. Please don't advertise Lego sets in this forum. There's a Buy, Sell and Trade forum. However, you are not allowed to create a topic when you don't have reached the 100 posts treshold. So I'm locking this topic.
  21. Hi Steven, Welcome to EB! Please use the regular black font for normal posts, instead of making the text bold and green. Thanks! I have merged your "Detective Theme" to this topic, where new themes are discussed
  22. Nice to see the original model is immediately recognizable. And I like the idea of the slide-out PF controlled slide-out section?
  23. Check out this awesome promo video of Nathanael Kuipers' Build it Book! You can even "meet" the creator of the video and read more in the Special LEGO Themes forum!
  24. Moved it to the right forum. And Frontpaged.... Thanks to Paul for this great post.
  25. I love it too! Even working on a motorized white version, so I will be looking at your video very carefully
