  4. If you continue buying parts in this quantity, we need to kill stop you eventually Edwin. The hobby already is expensive enough Edwin was so kind to share some information and I must say I am really impressed by his project(s)
  5. Wanted! I am looking for someone with proficient graphical skills to create promotional images for contests and theme months. I am only so-so skilled in Photoshop and I feel this is holding me back from organizing more contests etc. Having all you skilled guys (and girls) around, I can only imagine that there must be one or two who can create these kind of graphics. What I am currently thinking of is two types of templates, one for Contests and one for Theme months/periods, so both image types are immediately recognizable as being a "Eurobricks Technic Contest" or a "Eurobricks Theme ....something". The actual content depends on the contest or theme of course. I would like to know if there are members out there who would like to give it a go. To give you an idea, the image I created for the last content was pretty well received at TLG, so the bar is not that high Send me a PM if you are interested and possibly post (or mail me) an example of something you've created. This can be something totally different or an example of how you would create a promotional image for a fictitious contest. The upside is eternal gratitude! The downside is that you might be excluded from entering the contest, but that depends on the time it will take you to create such an image. If you can create an image in a week or so, I don't have any problems with you entering the contest. I could already announce the contest theme to the other members when you start creating the image. We'll figure something out. By the way; if everything goes according to plan, the next contest will be in May this year.

  9. Agreed! I have merged your topic with the Review topic.
  10. Here's more information and Uwe is mentioned: http://volvospiritmagazine.com/modelteam/
  11. Confirmed indeed! Uwe is the designer. But the text is from the Lego Press Release, I just copied it. I will see if I can clarify it a bit. Added (note: the actual designer of the Volvo model is Uwe Wabra).
  12. "thanks to their prompting, the idea of cooperating on an actual Volvo model was born, and the first L350F will roll out of the factory in Billund, Denmark in August this year." Not before August
  13. Volvo teams up with LEGO Group to make miniature marvels! Read all about how our very own EB digital design specialist Superkalle was involved in a Lego Technic project at TLG! "After a joint Volvo/LEGO project, in which LEGO Technic elements had been used to create a production line concept demonstrator at Volvo, a friendship struck up between Volvo engineer Johan Sahlström and LEGO engineer Anders Gaasedal Christensen [EB note: the actual designer of the Volvo model is Uwe Wabra]. Thanks to their prompting, the idea of cooperating on an actual Volvo model was born, and the first L350F will roll out of the factory in Billund, Denmark in August this year." 15. Obviously... But I would like to know why
  16. Wow indeed! This model looks awesome. And I really like the hub caps. Would be nice if TLG produced different versions for different vehicles. I fixed the link to your Bricksafe folder btw.
  17. Very nice! 42000 only or did you use some other parts as well? Haven't built the 42000 yet, so I am not really sure.
  18. Interesting find. Looking at the clip, it does indeed look bigger.
  19. We have changed the theme period to JFMAIR (see the title of this topic) Finally, I got the 42025 today. So I will write a review for this set in March, contributing a little bit to the theme period. Here's some proof... Sorry JGW3000, I tried, but they had only one set left
  20. Glad I am not the only one! So, we probably did see a new (or other) design. I noticed it right away and looked up the set information afterwards. But to no avail, still the current design. Really wonder whether we will get a new design. Sea Cow was indeed a lot bigger. Not sure whether the bike is bigger in the movie as well, but my guess would be that the bike is the actual size of the set. So it should be a 40T gear. Really need to see the scene in the movie again.
  21. So much for my new 40T gear theory. Although I am 99% sure I did see a different design in The Lego Movie.
