SBrick General Discussion
Jim replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I can't find the stretch goals anymore either. One of them was the stairtop design and another was indeed the interface designer. Won't take long before an SBricker will answer this question.- 774 replies

The last couple of weeks we have been actively promoting SBrick, a revolutionary way to control your LEGO models. So I am very happy to announce that SBrick made it to their first funding goal! That doesn't mean we should stop supporting it! Take a look in the Technic Forum and discuss the stretch goals of this great Kickstarter project.

As usual you have written a great review! I like the fact you have expanded the review with pros, cons and more judging criteria. Nice video too. I really like your work

For clarity sake it's better to do either or, instead of both (hybrid voting). -
My philosophy is simple; when you are contributing to the Technic Forum and haven't created an account just to vote (this is something I will decide) I will allow you to vote!

Live results might influence your own voting even more, than it does now. -

Of course. It's even better for contestants not to vote at all With F1 voting we could allow voting for your own entry. That will result in most of the contestants getting 10 points, but they still need to allot the other 8, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1. I need to think about the promo image, although I don't think winning or losing the contest depends on your skills to create a nice promo image. -

I can omit the entry list, so people are forced to go throught the entry topic. Your opinion might be based on a feeling though. -

Feel free to make a post in the LDD forum. Always interesting. However, I am specifically interested in these renders.- 20 replies

Slightly off topic: How did you make the renders/sketches? Google Sketchup? They are pretty awesome!- 20 replies

A speed build competition....I like it (we will do this at some point) I am planning on doing an SBrick contest once the product has been launched. Whether SBrick will be accepted in contests where PF is allowed too....I need to think about it. @hrontos: I can relate to your opinion about the voting -
My plan was to integrate all the entries in the voting topic, but then I figured; we have a great entry topic, with promotional images, parts images, feature lists and links to the discussion topic. Therefor I decided that it was better to let the voters use the entry topic as a reference. I am sorry that including the combined image (the one Allan made) was confusing.

I can compare F1 voting with 20 points voting only for people who voted in both the real and the fake voting. -

I am definitely in favor of trying the F1 scheme, in the next contest or do a "fake revote" for this contest to compare scores. -

I kind of regret changing the total points to 20, but there's nothing I can do about it anymore. At the end of the day, the best model(s) will probably win, but I agree it's not voting in optima forma. I am really stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to the best voting scheme. One moment I like distributing 10 points, but the other moment I think Formula one style is better, because you really need to make a decision.
