  1. This sounds like a well founded argument. If you promise to enter the contest with a newly built ship, I will increase the dimensions to 46x16 I do feel the need to raise the following question; will you be building something like this, because I don't think it will qualify as Model Team. Like mentioned earlier, an MT model needs more bricks. So let's stick to the dimension limit.
  2. How about we split it into an official part (brick built) and a separate fun part (digitally built)?
  3. I don't mind the tires sticking out a stud or two.
  4. How about you guys simpy use 44x14 as the limit A common width in MT is 12, so I am already being generous
  5. Hi AOW, Please be aware that you posted in a very old topic. Bumping an old topic is frowned upon, unless you have a very good reason to do so. Take care
  6. The poll seems to be very clear about it. I will wait till wednesday, but it looks like the rules will remain the same.
  7. That is a bad megablocks set! Some Bionicle sets are so great for acquiring rare "Technic parts".
  8. I like the way you think! If you build digitally, at least take the time to make a proper render!
  9. That's more or less what I had in mind, although I was thinking of letting the user manually upload his/her entry. If we could somehow parse the topic content, that would be helpful. Any good with regular expressions and parsing?!
  10. Well spoken. Exactly my thoughts
  11. You are absolutely true. This was raised during the previous contest as well. However, I do pay close attention to the voting topic. And I stored all the images locally just before opening the voting topic. So if anyone is cheating, we will probably find out. So yes, you are right. But I'd like to think that we are all fair competitors People could also easily omit some parts from the part list, but again, I'd like to think that they didn't. PS I am thinking about storing all entries in a database, so I can generate the voting post automatically and avoid cheating.
  12. This is an old topic for the previous contest
  13. True, but this topic is about the MOC preference, right? Not your official set preference (for me this is about the same).
  14. I would really love to see a remake of the Orbiter! And/or a proper sized ROV. Anything out of the ordinary. I also loved the Cargo Plane and 9396 Helicopter, so any flying machine will do
  15. For me it's a NO for regular contests, but most of us probaly don't have a lot of bricks to make a proper creation. Therefor I think it might be interesting to allow digital builds as an exception to the rule. Thanks. It figured old MT models would make for nice prizes. And I am interested to see how the digital vs analogue will mix in a single contest.
  16. Here's a picture of me taken during the 2014 EB event in Billund, where I got a copy of the Volvo almost straight out of the factory. The box was still warm Here's another one: (I have split the post into a separate topic)
  17. Okay, to make this a bit more easy, I have included a poll in this topic. Please vote and I will make a decision Wednesday morning, based on the outcome of the poll.
  18. That's exactly why I want to allow digital builds. Just to have more entries in this competition.
  19. Yes, you can (as long as they are official LEGO)
  20. Try, but that's more a generic stand on digital entries. By default, I am also against mixing the two. But maybe we can make an exception for this contest.
  21. Clear, and understandable That's 2 in favor and 1 against. I will await further responses.
  22. Nice! So we need to investigate #21 and #24

    Lucky 13

One of our latest members sm 01 has made a stellar entry by presenting his exquisite hot rod Lucky 13! Not only does this pick-up look very cool, but it has a ton of nice features.
