  1. LoL That's quite an oddball collection you've got there
  2. Like The LEGO Godfather Nice pic Lipko! Your Audi rocks! Nice to see it next to the real one.
  3. All other digital designers are better and more advanced......but I also like LDD very much. It's a very easy to use program and will take less time to master.
  4. I've heard this before. Not sure what the cause was. Glad it's working now
  5. I still don't think it's a licensed set. The Volvo is a collaboration between Volvo and TLG, possibly with different terms than Mercedes had. Then again....I could be entirely wrong
  6. Hehe I was actually thinking about Volvo's, but if you like old used MT sets better....that's fine by me </dreams> <reality> If I ever make it into the Fortune 500, I will see what I can do Jantjeuh
  7. Hi, Nice to see you are working on a MOC! Simply go the Flickr page with all the formats: Then select the 800 wide picture and right click to select "Copy image address". Click the image icon in the forum editor and paste the address. Make sure to copy the image address with .jpg (or .png) extension.
  8. Hi Dafgek, Bumping old topic is only allowed when there is a good reason to. So don't bump old topics just to say "Cool!" Furthermore, please don't spray paint the forum with comments like "Cool!". Be more descriptive. Thanks for understanding and please read the site guidelines
  9. Each contestant needs to make a discussion topic, so be on the lookout for those first. Thanks Mark, but no need to worry about the prizes
  10. Imho modern day MT can have as much functions as you'd like. But like you said; it were mostly vehicles with limited functionality.
  11. Awesome work Jeroen!! Can't wait to see the final version.
  12. It's not that hard. You need to create a new wanted list on Bricklink. The list has an ID. You need to use that ID the upload the wanted list. Not exactly sure where to put the ID, but you should be able to figure it out. Not behind a computer right now, so I can't explain exactly how it works, sorry.
  13. Excellent work! You really nailed the different shapes used in the car. I especially love the doors!! And the engine indeed.
  14. When you buy and build more modern studless sets you will eventually start getting used to them. The link Alasdair prodived will give you some insights in which ones are (still) available.
  15. What about it?! You can use any modern or oldskool part (in production or out of production), as long as it's an official LEGO part.
  16. It's not the stand I care about, it's placing the plane vertically to bypass the dimension limit. Next thing you know; people are making tractors and trailer and mounting them on a stand, so they will be 46x16x150 high
  17. While I like the idea, and basically you are right, it would shed a total different light on other vehicles as well. So I can't allow it. A helicopter with blades sticking out works for me, and a plane with wings that stick out a stud or two is also fine. But that's the limit. Otherwise you can build a plane roughly the size of the 42025 plane, which is not the idea of the contest.
  18. We're cool Erik! No hard feelings. I will do my best to avoid these rule conflicts next time
  19. Next time I will make sure the rules are clearly defined (and fixed) before the contest, to avoid this discussion
  20. Milan: Biggest reason, for me, is that it is very awkward to build in uneven width with modelteam style. 16 studs wide would be perfect. JWG3000: many Model Team builds use studded Technic bricks, that are even studs in length, how about changing the maximum dimensions to 46x16 so as to better accommodate Technic bricks rather than Technic beams? Both arguments are about the dimension being uneven. If that's your argument, then my reply can be as simple as "use 44x14 instead". VFRacingteam used an argument about using a particular scale, which was enough for me to decide to alter the rules after all. I thought it might make more people happy, but I guess you can't please 'em all. I come up with rules and sometimes I am not 100% sure about them. So a little debate can pursuade me to change them a bit. And like TheItalianBrick said; it's not like I am changing the foundation of the contest. We are talking one stud here. And I do get the feeling that some of you think that making something 16 wide instead of 14 wide is by definition better. So guys, please lighten up a little bit and try to put yourself in my place. I am trying to do what's in the best interest of the contest and I am trying to please most of you, instead of being a dickhead myself and simply say no to all requests.
  21. No chrome unless it's official LEGO Indeed.
