Building a Supercar MOC
Jim replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have gathered all red and PF parts for the Ferrari 458. So far so good. Anyone else building a Supercar MOC at the moment? -
Funny that you mention it. I was thinking the exact same thing. I expected some entries getting points from all voters, but the opposite is true. Lot of differentiation in the voting pattern.

Okay guys. Let's end the Engine configuration discussion and stick to 2015 set discussion. Feel free to make a new topic. Don't moderate this topic. And bear in mind that Saberwing only expressed his personal ideas.

Jim replied to Richter's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, It's better to use a sharing site like Flickr or Bricksafe to store your pictures. Then embed them here, by using the link to the image. -
There's no actual deadline. I tend to close it, when I have time to immediately calculate scores and post the outcome. (It will be open for a week, at least)

The Technic C-Model Contest has come to an end. A staggering number of 46 entries are competing for great prizes! Now it's time to vote for your favorite entry!

Building a Supercar MOC
Jim replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Anyone with a spare sticker sheet for the Enzo Ferrari? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=8653stk01 I have a sheet myself, but I'm looking for a second one and I am willing to pay. But 50 euro is a bit excessive. -
Darn! I have been renumbering, since one of the entries had been pulled from the contest. I will fix it now. I have locked the voting topic. thanks! Luckily it's not as bad as it seems. You voted for #37, the Ornithopter, right? I will reopen the topic. Thanks for paying attention guys! It's appreciated

I'm really sorry for this entry, but I need to disqualify it. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101578&st=25#entry2066849 There are no pictures and there's no discussion topic. I'm quite forgiving, but if you really want to enter, than you should take some time to ask for help and obey the entry rules.

C-MODEL CONTEST VOTING TOPIC This topic will be used as a voting topic for the C-Model Contest. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. If you joined Eurobricks after the start of the contest, you can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected) You may NOT vote for your own entry. In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the C-Model Contest Information Topic. For example (entries randomly chosen for example): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the C-Model Contest Information Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING CRITERIA The goal of this contest is too make an alternate model using a limited number of parts (i.e. found in one or two sets). Please bear in mind that some models are MODs rather than MOCs. They have been permitted to enter, but be mindful judging these entries! Indirectly this means you need to look at the following criteria: Design Functionality Color scheme Parts used Playability ENTRIES All entries can be found in the entry thread: Please visit the entry topic to see all entries. 1. Building a Supercar MOC
Jim replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks. This is about half of my red collection. Now's the time to finally sort these parts and stash them with the others. I will try to find all the parts this week and start building. I reckon I will finish it in a week or two, maybe three. Maybe I will even write a (small) review for it. -
Building a Supercar MOC
Jim replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was a bit surprised by it too. As far as I know, I have never placed a Bricklink order for them. So they must all come from original sets, which is quite plausible, having all the Ferrari sets. -
Indeed, I haven't addressed it in the rules. One problem I foresee is people voting for it. It does look good and has great functionality, but it's mostly designed by TLG, not by the contestant.
-
I have a bit a problem with one of the two entries posted by GaBika and PETI00: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102950 The logging truck by PETI00 is basically the Lego 8049, with a truck in the front instead of a tractor. While the truck looks good, most of the other things are originally designed by TLG. I would like to hear your opinion before I open the voting topic.

They are both members of the leg-technic.hu blog/forum. That's probably why they are using the same logo. I noticed that they are using the same IP-address, so they could be roommates, relatives or......the same person. However, they seem to be two different persons on the Hungarian website too. I will look into it.
