42056 - Porsche Speculation
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Please stop asking questions like this! Cwetqo doesn't know the answer to this, so you'll see them when they are published, or not at all. -
Blakbird has published a major update to the Technicopedia. 25 sets from the year 1999 have been added, with the 8448 Super Street Sensation as the first studless super car, succeeding the infamous 8880 Super Car. Join the discussion in the Technic Forum.

Jim replied to Lucio Switch's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice video! Very entertaining. Looking at your MOC history, I should have given you the tag. The only reason I am not doing it right now, is to keep you motivated for your next MOC Great work, seriously! -

The rear suspension of the 42039 uses a single spring: Any idea why the Porsche uses a double spring? That's not something which is based on the real car, right? Is it to make the rear a bit stiffer? -

Explains the lever in the right bottom. I wasn't very sharp. I saw the calipers and I immediately linked them to the front wheels. Obviously the rear wheels have them as well. -

No more doubt about the front rear suspension. -

Please don't quote images? And more images will most certainly be posted when available. No need to ask. Has this been posted before? It appears to NOT have a center hole. -

Taken handheld -> Low light -> Low ISO -> Grainy picture (and possible a style choice) I don't think there's more to it than that. -

You know Jim doesn't answer questions about upcoming reviews (if any at all). Jim also asked you to stop begging for pictures last year. So this time Jim is asking to stop begging for reviews -

Porsche Pricing & Availability
Jim replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There's a separate topic about the pricing of the Porsche. http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=130801 Let's try to focus on the set itself in this topic. -

We are not migrating to #2. We have #2 as an additional option. It won't replace #1. -
