Yeah them two Mercs crashing wasn't all bad for Red Bull Before the race you think (or rather fantasize); would be great if the two Mercs hit each other. And what happens....unbelievable. -

Too bad there aren't enough dark blue panels available. Time for TLG to strike a deal with Red Bull -

The outer box is more in exlusive in the sense that it's like the 41999, with an actual lid. The inner boxes are simply containers for the bags. That's not a really a surprise, is it? -

As a reviewer this is obviously somewhat disappointing. On the other hand; I have had an exclusive two week period with the Volvo two years ago, so the knife cuts both ways. I feel very confident that Sariel's video review will be much better than this one! June 1st is the review embargo, but I am confident that AutoBild are allowed to post this video. -

So this set will be available through regular channels, like every other Technic set. That's great news! -
A lot of things happenned with Vengit & SBrick in the last couple of weeks. The SBrick has teamed up with Scratch! Scratch is a free educating platform which uses drag and drop method to teach kids programming and robotics. Participating in education - this is something that the creators of SBrick envisioned from the start, and now it's becoming reality. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. Follow this link and learn more about it.

Well, I am from Holland and I think it's one of the countries (with Germany) where you can get LEGO for reasonable prices, if you seek your refuge online. The Arocs is € 200, but I can get it for € 165-170. So, will the price drop? No it won't. The MSRP will be the same for the remainder of it's lifespan. What I can't judge is whether "other stores" also include Amazon, Toy's r Us etc. This will probably affect whether you will find deals online or offline in the future. I doubt that you will find a bargain around the release date though. This means, if you like to get it early, you will have to pay full price. And that's a personal decision, which you need to make yourself I think (but I am not sure, because my opinion is biased) that I would wait till it's available in a LEGO store near me (for me that would be Germany or Belgium) and make a day out of it to go and buy it. On the other hand; I might not be able to resist the urge and order it online on day one. This probably won't help you, but at least I tried -

Imagine your 41999 having arrived in a damaged box. Mine arrived in mint condition, so maybe the S&H from stores is better than the reviews sets I received. However, I have seen lot of complaints on Facebook about the same issue lately. The Porsche is meant to deliver a premium experience, but receiving a damaged box is like picking up your brand new 911 GT3 RS....with a fender bender. That's what I call the early adaptor predicament. Get the set early and pay top dollar, or wait for a chance to pick it up for a better price. Can be a tough choice. -

What's in a word You are right of course. Thanks. What Emmi said. The Merc was shipped in a bigger box, which was completely torn apart. Looked like it was ripped open to look inside. Then again, the inner box was damaged as well, so maybe it was simply caused by S&H. -

The 41999 Porsche That was something. I must admig, this sure comes close. Something different, which has to do with S&H and this being a premium set. Last sets I received from TLG were....welll......damaged, to say the least. The box (even the set box) was torn apart. See lower left bottom. Being a normal Technic set (and not a box collector) I can accept this fact, although it would have been not so cool if it were a present. Not to start a discussion about S&H (maybe we should start another topic), but I surely hope TLG is edit: NOT sending out Porsches like this. -
Potential Questions for LEGO Designers

I think the Technic SciFi vehicles were one of the reasons of TLG's near demise two decades ago, so I wouldn't bet on it. -

I'm definitely in favor of discussing the Technic side (of this Porsche). I meant avoiding TLG could have done a Porsche model x, which leads to "or a Ferrari" etc. So discussion okay, but let's keep the focus on this model Porsche. Maybe my comment was a bit ambiguous. -
