42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Merging with the 42055 topic. No need to create a new one. -
Welcome to EB! I think you did okay....who am I kidding....this is some seriously nice work

I think it's better to let the orange line continue from top to bottom, like the original. And I would love to see a white version! (I can do that myself of course)

Please don't create a new topic for a simple question like this. Especially when you already asked in another topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=117982 -

Hi Mike, You are probably right about PASM, but it does have front ride height adjustment. Or is that only on the Carerra? -

You can easily buy those parts without stickers on Bricklink for little money (panels, tiles, etc). Not to start the stickers vs printed discussion, but it would defnitely be better to have no stickers at all in favor of printed parts. -
Hi, Always nice to see some Mindstorms activity on Eurobricks. We have too little of it. Looking forward to your input!

Hi, Welcome to EB! And agree with you. He is clearly not trying to create a great looking model, just PF versions. Nothing more, nothing less. -
Technic General Discussion

I don't know why, but they changed these rims around the release of the Grand Prix Racer. That set has been releases with both types (if I'm not mistaken). Glossy looks better?! And 6 holes is easier to mount and leaves for more options?! Not sure though. -
You can take a look at my video. The chassis is driving in Normal mode, until 0:29 when I switch to Ludicrous. After that I change to Slow. Not the best video, I know, but you can see the difference. I am not really sure why it's a stretch goal, since it already seems to be in the prototype. Or did I miss something? Will it be even faster?! Ulta-Ludicrous?!

I might be exaggerating a bit here ...but it's definitely too hot to be setting there and enjoying a nice LEGO build. We are experiencing an outdoor temperature of around 34°C, which is extremely hot for us Dutchies. I reckon the room temperature will definitely be somewhere in the forties °C.
