    Spectre MK2

Eurobricks member Migalart has created this awesome Spaceship, called the Spectre MK2. He also has some great artwork for an upcoming cartoon. Be sure to check it out!
  2. Hehe, sorry mate, currently dusting off my own EV3's
  3. I know you feel very happy and thankful, but I am not sure whether this justifies bumping a 4,5 year old topic. (actually I know it doesn't)
  4. Nice work! I really like the lowering and raising of the body. And nice use of all the panels
  5. Off topic: Maybe we can join forces. I alternate between programming games and building LEGO On topic: Bought myself some new warehouse bins (discussion here), and I think I like 'em. Now I need to sort all my Technic parts which have been throwing in two big containers after disassembling the models. This might take a while You have a LEGO Tranformers room....nice
  6. These are some pretty nice parts! Wheel covers are always welcome. I also like the GoPro mount on the Dog Bone, in rm8's picture
  7. The phone has built-in hardware, like processor etc, which in combination with software, the app, can control the motors. The app (software) determines which port to control. A controller is just a simple input device. Without additional logic (firmware) it can't determine which buttons do what. So you will need some kind of firmware in the BuWizz to accept the commands sent by the controller. If BuWizz will support a controller, it will probably be a single type, which will be compatible with the BuWizz, not a complete range of controller (unless they send out the same signals). Hope this makes sense
  8. That's a simple, but very useful tip!! Thanks for sharing it.
  9. Check out these Technic MOCs by two of our Pro Builders! Sheepo has created this magnificent Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (JK). And Madoca 1977 posted this SBricks powered unconventional Avtoros Shaman 8x8.
  10. You can select whether the motor should run a certain time, degrees, etc. It's not returning back to it's original position, like the PF servo motor. I think you can run a certain number of degrees, which allows for precise control of your motor. You can also run 200ms forward, then 200ms backwards, although this might not end up in the exact beginning position.
  11. Hi, Can you update the first post? The images are missing. Thanks. Nice work so far.
  12. You sure can! Currently I am working on a new Mindstorms project as well, and it would be great to see more projects. So yeah, do it....and share it! I will create a WIP topic too.
  13. It could do with some extra frames at the bottom. Instead of a "single layer frame" maybe a two or three layer frame. But with its height and design, it will probably always be a bit wobbly.
  14. The head movement is really awesome and fast!! The are definitely okay too. I know it's hard to implement. One thing you don't want is a robot to move too slowly, although you need to work with forces and technical limits. I think you've found the right balance. I am looking into some constructions for the arms of my robot as well.
  15. I'm indeed thinking about using shelves (or a rack) to space them out vertically. I like the fact that they can easily be moved to your desk when you are building. I don't have nearly enough space to make a wall like the one in the picture, but something like in the video might work. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for the help.
  16. LEGO Humanoids are taking over the world! We all know Simon Burfield (Burf2000 or Burf for short) for his outrageous Mindstorms creations, like the Wheelchair and Segway. His latest creation is about to take over the world. Okay, maybe not, but he will definitely scare the kids away! Quickly, head over to Skynet Headquarters to save the world!
  17. Hi Bat Man, Welcome to EB! Nice to have you on board. When quoting someone, please remove the images and videos (only you really need them in the quote). This will make the replies more readable. Please check out our site guidelines and posting etiquetes. Have fun!
  18. No worries, you're cool. As long as you don't keep us waiting too long
  19. True, no sets yet (for me that is). Next week is a busy week for me, so I'm aiming at the third week of July.
  20. Looks like it was already back in 2014. Nice to see this part make its comeback. Possibly fake?
  21. Okay, I just bit the bullet and ordered 40 bins with 40 front covers. If they don't work out the way I hope, I can always use them as storage bins inside drawers.
  22. I think you need to follow allanp's instructions. He has a clear analysis of the problem. Does the motor still work when you attach the pins, but you don't attach the motor to the helicopter?
  23. Thanks for your hints and tips guys. There are front covers which prevent parts falling out, but I understand the problems you are stating (like transparency etc). And without the front cover you can only fill them half way. I guess I need to think about it some more. Or simply order them and see whether they work for me. If they don't really work, I can still use them to store stuff, and they are not that expensive.
