This sounds like a plan! Your MOC definitely suits the contest. Nice work! -
Generic Contest Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Porsche contest is almost over One day...or very soon....who knows -
You mean August? Well, I have literally dreamt about a lot of Porsches last night, no kidding. Came up with a short list yesterday evening and I finalized it today. My list has been sent. No more time to bribe I'm probably not at liberty to discuss any of this, so I won't. But I can tell that there are quite a few EB entries in my list (I wasn't biased, simply great builders over here)

[PORSCHE] Donner
Jim replied to JJ2's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Agreed, it's definitely a very nice model! But not eligible for this contest. Why didn't you make a version with PF motors? Performance might not be so good, but it would be all LEGO and thus allowed in the contest. -
Great work!! Finishing my review (a bit late, I know) and I concur, it's a great set. And your motorization makes it even better. I would love to build this version with an SBrick.

It's not my MOC. I only changed the color. Credits go to M2m

Instructions Question
Jim replied to Leonardo da Bricki's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Uhmmm say what?! Please don't call your work mediocre EVER again! Providing free instructions is great, but please don't do that because you think your work is mediocre. -
I was reading this topic and thought.....didn't TLG just release this monster?! Then I noticed the date.....

Instructions Question
Jim replied to Leonardo da Bricki's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think this pretty much concludes this discussion If you really like to build a (N)MOC and you are willing to fork out $100/$200 or $300 for extra parts, getting instructions for $10 or $20 shouldn't be the issue. Granted, you won't be able to build 10 NMOCs a year, but your budget wouldn't allow it anyway. And like others suggested; there are lots of free instructions available. Enough to keep you going. -
Crowkillers in Counting Cars
Jim replied to Meatman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for creating the topic Meatman. I had little time to do so. I will make a frontpage post shortly. Awesome project and a really cool episode of Counting Cars. -
[PORSCHE] Donner

I will ask, but I think using non-LEGO parts is a bit strange in an official LEGO competition. -
Same new mold, different color maybe?! Interesting matter...

Some criteria are indeed personal. Overal coolness for example. But rest assured, for all the EB contests my winners ended up on the podium (or top 5 or something) Nope.

Merging with the 42055 topic. No need to create a new one.
