  1. This sounds like a plan! Your MOC definitely suits the contest. Nice work!
  2. Porsche contest is almost over One day...or very soon....who knows
  3. You mean August? Well, I have literally dreamt about a lot of Porsches last night, no kidding. Came up with a short list yesterday evening and I finalized it today. My list has been sent. No more time to bribe I'm probably not at liberty to discuss any of this, so I won't. But I can tell that there are quite a few EB entries in my list (I wasn't biased, simply great builders over here)
  4. Agreed, it's definitely a very nice model! But not eligible for this contest. Why didn't you make a version with PF motors? Performance might not be so good, but it would be all LEGO and thus allowed in the contest.
  5. Judging all of the great models is no walk in the park, I can tell you that much. Lots of great models who deserve the honor, but only 20 can make it to the finals
  6. Great work!! Finishing my review (a bit late, I know) and I concur, it's a great set. And your motorization makes it even better. I would love to build this version with an SBrick.
  7. It's not my MOC. I only changed the color. Credits go to M2m
  8. Save link as is okay. That's the option I'm referring to.
  9. For me this works like a charm. I also experienced problems when downloading by opening the file (even on a high speed connection).
  10. Uhmmm say what?! Please don't call your work mediocre EVER again! Providing free instructions is great, but please don't do that because you think your work is mediocre.
  11. 112 entries.....will be a long night Please let me know if you find any illegal/stolen entries.
  12. How do you download? My experience is that opening the file and Save As results in failing downloads. However, when I right click and selected download link as (edit: save link as)... then it works fine. Maybe this helps. Or that....
  13. I was reading this topic and thought.....didn't TLG just release this monster?! Then I noticed the date.....
  14. I think this pretty much concludes this discussion If you really like to build a (N)MOC and you are willing to fork out $100/$200 or $300 for extra parts, getting instructions for $10 or $20 shouldn't be the issue. Granted, you won't be able to build 10 NMOCs a year, but your budget wouldn't allow it anyway. And like others suggested; there are lots of free instructions available. Enough to keep you going.
  15. Thanks for creating the topic Meatman. I had little time to do so. I will make a frontpage post shortly. Awesome project and a really cool episode of Counting Cars.
  16. I will ask, but I think using non-LEGO parts is a bit strange in an official LEGO competition.
  17. Merging with the Which set should I buy topic
  18. Most of them represent the same car...a Porsche Just kidding of course. Same model doesn't matter, although one could lose some points for originality. There are five criteria to judge the model. No further restrictions on same models or something.
  19. Same new mold, different color maybe?! Interesting matter...
  20. Here's the white version:
  21. Some criteria are indeed personal. Overal coolness for example. But rest assured, for all the EB contests my winners ended up on the podium (or top 5 or something) Nope.
  22. Merging with the 42055 topic. No need to create a new one.
