  1. Hi, When you present a LEGO Ideas project here, at least can you embed some images and make a proper post?
  2. I hope you are right. It's no secret I love Dark Azure
  3. This is exactly how I think about it
  4. Hehe true. Animations for the win. I absolutely love the set, but I do find it strange that the rear wheels have been placed way off. I understand why other shapes are slightly different, but the rear looks a tad short. One or two studs would have done the trick. And DBG panels
  5. Too late (check my pic) (sorry it's so small)
  6. Even though I think you are slightly overreacting with the reasons not to buy this set, I do agree with #3. It's very obvious the rear of the Mack is way too short. Other than that, I think this is a set LEGO and Mack can be proud of. I like the mix of System bricks and Technic. Don't know the part count, but I have posted this picture a while ago. The color blue is difficult to distinguish because the picture (the red) looks a bit darker than the actual model will be. And the picture of the boat doesn't feel entirely natural either. I do think Eric is right and it's not dark azure. Of course, I hope I'm wrong hehe. Edit: I am not conviced about the shade of blue. I think the editing of the picture might cloud our judgement. I looks more vibrant than the jet plane. I do really love the rally car. Great looking car, color scheme is fantastic and that roll cage looks awesome.
  7. Ohh there will be blood my friend. It's not so bad, but you will need to remove parts from the sub assemblies, so that you can switch the diff. It's not super easy, but not hard either.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks If you have actually read my review, you will already know the answer LoL Classic case of incorrectly placed differentials. "My buddy had built both live axles. He had built them correctly, but he reversed the second one, resulting in the red liftarms being on the wrong side of the vehicle. I noticed the mistake, but instead of simply turning the second live axle around, I started rebuilding the second live axle. This resulted in both differentials being on the same side. Needless to say, that didn't improve driving performance." The two rear differentials are placed incorrectly. That's why TLG used color coding (red side and grey side).
  9. This is the same blue as the 42070, Dark Azure.
  10. Copied from Facebook User Noman Iqbal from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. I can split this into a separate topic.
  11. Eurobricks member Exetrius has made his second "exo skeleton suit".Click on this link or on the image to visit the topic.
  12. Time's up I have handpicked this lovely creation made by @kritch. And faith (a.k.a. random.org) has chosen @Lock's entry as the lucky extra winner. Congrats. If you can both send me a PM with your full name and address, I will make sure you will get your set as soon as possible. (Let me know if you can't send a PM yet @Lock. New members used to need 10 posts, but I think the rules have changed)
  13. I have been very busy, so I wasn't paying attention. Sorry. I will pick two lucky winners today. So, if there are people with an entry....hurry.
  14. The kids will love it. It’s not so bad. Had fun building it and the functions are okay.

    TOO OLD?

    Enjoy it while it lasts

Tip: when you quote, you can remove a part of the quote, so you won't quote the entire post. This makes for a more readable answer. Like this

    TOO OLD?

@ShayanK65 Maybe....just maybe....you can let your parents read this topic, so they have a better understanding of AFOLs and that LEGO is not only for kids.

    TOO OLD?

I wouldn't say that. Let's say I do have some experience with getting interested in other things and eventually getting back into the hobby again.

    TOO OLD?

    Well spoken.

    TOO OLD?

Hi, Welcome to EB. I do understand the feelings your parents have, but when I was 14 I still was a big fan of LEGO. Eventually you will start doing other things as well. Most of us have had our dark ages, the period when you stop building with LEGO and start drinking beer You will probably grow into other things as well. And on the other hand; there's no such thing as too old for LEGO. I can suggest a lot of things, which will make your parents wish you were still into LEGO LoL, but I won't The most important thing is that you respect each other. After all, they are still your parents. Maybe you should simply enjoy the hobby but not overdo it. You will need to focus on other things as well, like education and making sure you will get a decent job, which will pay for all the LEGO when you are an AFOL. Anyway, I don't have a clear answer. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. Your parents want to see that you can think of other things than LEGO and you still like support from your parents. By the way; Eurobricks is actually for adult members (18+) but we condone minors. But please don't advertise that you are underaged anymore
