  1. I highly doubt TLG brings a product to the market with the purpose of making it better. They bring a product to the market which is good enough for a certain price point and profit margin. They surely don't think that their products are unfinished.
  2. My thoughts? Well, you are posting prelim images which is not allowed here. Secondly, we have been discussing these new sets for pages and pages. So, not happy thoughts And I would have to agree (happy thoughts)
  3. If I'm not mistaken, it's Dark Azure (42070), like expected. TLG seems to have chosen this color as the new blue.
  4. Nope, you can't use Playmobile. Staff recommendation is using the best one for the contest
  5. Yup. @Leonardo da Bricki It should not be disappointing, since this is usually the case. Matter of incorrect expectations
  6. Agreed. Actually the Pub is for non-LEGO related conversations
  7. Indeed it is. One more, to see the back:
  8. This is exactly how I feel about it. Interesting. Black and medium azure. Sexy. I wouldn't say no to this!
  9. Moved the discussion to the speculation topic: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/94328-future-set-wishes-and-speculation/&page=15
  10. I think you are overestimating the car knowledge of the average LEGO builder/buyer. The Porsche is easily recognizable, but the C8 doesn't have a lot of features which automatically make it a Corvette. True, we can use this one: Let's discuss if further in that topic.
  11. If it is built out of LEGO Technic, it can easily be mistaken for a Ferrari.
  12. It's the new one. TLG is making a big Technic set of this cool new Ferrari Want me to make a dedicated topic for speculation, guessing, whishing, etc so we can keep it clean here?
  13. A friend of mine actually said that once about a similar car (facepalm) But I am talking about the C8. Maybe they will make it yellow, to avoid the Ferrari look-a-like issue. (although each first new Ferrari is made in yellow)
  14. Interesting thought and I would love for you to be right
  15. I do like 'em, but I do miss some of the recognition you get by looking at another supercar. When you create an outstanding Corvette C8 supercar in LEGO Technic, it would probably still look like a generic supercar and lots of people might even think it's a Ferrari.
  16. No worries, this is a valid question in any case. What we usually mean by "no speculation" is that it turns into a wishlist and guessing topic. But asking if sets can be upgraded with PF is no problem.
  17. Well, if we all like it, we can speculate. As long as we stay out of the "I wish..." zone. Except the "Wow factor". In other words; a Corvette is not that appealing (imho). (sorry if I offend someone with this comment, but I'm from Europe) Although I must admit....the C8 does look very nice!!!
  18. Well, maybe you can. We have decided to extend the contest with two additional weeks. Sorry for the ones who have been rushing their entry, but we do feel that some extra time might result in more entries. TL;DR TWO MORE WEEKS! DEADLINE WILL BE 29TH OF JANUARY
  19. Thou shalt not talk about MOCs in the pub Very best wishes for you too. And everyone else of course. Make 2018 worth while.
  20. Maybe it's better to end the speculation. We are almost certain it's a new super car. It's most likely a brand seen in one of the Speed Champion sets. Other than that...we need to be patient and see what January 2018 will bring.
  21. The question is not whether it's an expensive special set. The question is, do we know for certain it's a car? No, we don't. Could be something totally different. But it's likely that it's a car.
  22. I personally think a Ferrari would be the most appealing. LEGO has a history with Ferrari racers and it will just look cool to have an awesome red Ferrari next to the Porsche. Although I wouldn't know which model I would love to see, a classic one or a new one. Okay Jim, quit the speculation. You know that's frowned upon. Let's sick to the facts we know. Sorry, my bad
