The only way is to attach a motor to the turning point of the steered hub to read out the angle. I use that in an air suspend truck to adjust the heught. But the problem is the inaccuracy due to the internal resistance if the motor. I can post images once I'm at work.

How to fix Servos

These copper conductor tracks are not looking good. Is that recess? Or is that only superficial? -

I use three of these billy shelfs with these doors in my lego man cave. Dust is still an issue. -

Which motor will I need?
Andman replied to TheLegoDr's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Why don't you, like all (master) builders, just try to build something? Try, fail, improve, try again. Don't be afraid of failures. Just learn from them. I recently watched this video. Just watch him iterating through different version until he finds a perfect solution. -
It would only work if you use motors as input for the controlled vehicle. But haven't made a test yet. As for the triggers, i thought about using the force sensor from spike prime. You can control motors proportionally with these! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtWkRYzpUSg Can anybody confirm, if they can be used with the Powered Up App?

The Impossible
Andman replied to dickylaban's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm really speechless. You show very well who you are. The only one not seeing it, is you :-( BTW, how will it hurt me back very deeply? I'm really curious. Are you planning to dox me too? The only lesson I learned so far, is that you are not able to take a step back and have look at your behavior from a greater distance. You know what? Challenge excepted. I'll finish your simple MOC. Just need some more parts for the wheels. -
The Impossible

I really like this MOC. I like how it looks, the mechanics and that you use the status light of the HUB as a front light. Well done! I also understand that you are proud of it. You really can be! What i don't like is the attitude you are showing. IMHO a little more modesty would have shed a better light on you. You set the bar very high with your title. That creates expectations. While i really like your motorcycle, I immediately felt "no it's not impossble" when i opened you thread and saw the first image. You have some nice building techniques for the hubless wheels. But the rest is "just" connected liftarms, pins, panels and some gears. Don't get me wrong: It still ends up in a nice result! But, no, it is not impossible (for everyone else) to build. I think you are kinda trapped. It took you a long time to build and improve it. And now your precious (no irony here!) creation is exposed to criticism in multiple ways: The price for the instructions The title of your thread being clickbaity Claims about self balancing Claims that your creation is a master piece I can understand that this hurts. What makes it so hard to build? I started to rebuild it in Stud.io. So far no issues. No worries, I will not share it. Bold claim. Again... modesty. I totally agree on the lack of official documentation! Just in case you didn't know the documentation from RacingBrick: https://racingbrick.com/powered-up-code-block-guide/ It helped me a lot! What part was the most challenging for you? EDIT: Just no. Rebrickable doesn't suspend just because some criticism against your MOC. It suspended it because you made mistakes. You said it yourself: You fixed it. Dude, seriouly... No one is one a personal vendetta against you here. If you believe me or not, it saddens me in what situation you are. But you have to understand that, if you are making bold claims, you will be exposed to critcism. If you like it or not. Your MOC surely is not something trivial. But, at least to me, it is also not something superior. BTW, doxxing other people... NOT OK. I made it disappear. Weren't you the one asking for people stay civil? Yes? Then follow you own rules. -

I just made two gifs for the first and second gear. Maybe that helps already. Blue: drive shaft after the gear box Purple: gear switcher Pink: driven gears of the gearbox depending on the selected gear -

Nah, I wouldn't be that optimistic. They probably just did it to create an additional selling point. I prefer the yellow cylinders because they always highlighted the function. It's always an eye catcher for my young son. -
It's only "a stone away" (not really) from an LDD file (which is also intellectual property requiring a lot of work) to get instructions. Why on earth do you think you would get even that for free? If you want a challenge, then try to build it from images which are available on the web.

Thanks for the Video and the test! But I think it highly depends on the mould of the bevel gears. All of my grey 20z bevel gears work fin. Every other color version causes sometimes issues. Especially the tan one. Sometimes only one side of the 20z gear is rubbing against liftarms and sometimes both sides. Seems like it depends on fractions millimetres, if they introduce more or less friction. So did you test your chosen bevel gears, if they are grinding against liftarms?

The title of your thread creates certain expectations. At least I and probably other people too were expecting to see your mods or any other substantial contribution/content. I was a bit disappointed to see nothing. You could have made it obvious in the title or at least in you first post, that you are looking for mods and don't have any by yourself because you don't have the set yet.
