The woodwork is excellent. You've done a great job making it look a bit whimsical, which fits in with Tolkien's elves well. Having the elves' side a bit greener is a subtle and nice touch.

Great tutorial and awesome techniques! Thank you for sharing. The base greebling is the only part that looks sci-fi to me, the rest looks very fantasy.

It's wonderful! Great angle for the photography - the transition to the micro build in the background out of focus is very smooth. The fountain water is perfect.

Wow! Great setup for an adventure. It was fun seeing close up shots as you built the story and then to see everything together as a big MOC at the end (I was hoping that is what you did rather than a few vignettes!)

Great MOC and it looks great next to that castle!
-
Great job! The head of the boat is terrific.

Awesome MOC and great story. Having the images next to the narration was very helpful in following the characters. The size of the scene and variety of vegetation is impressive. -
Your MOC is as amazing as the torso figs. It has a great balance of detail and charm.

I almost voted for it. I really like the set and would be perfectly happy if it got picked. The fish are good too, but I probably wouldn't get them.

Shisha Parlor Zahra’s Hookah Lounge in old Petraea is as exquisite as it is exclusive. The finest flavored hashish is smoked in a luxurious rooms with impeccable service.

Great little vignette

Great job with the mechanism. I like the little details around the windmill best - like the sun flowers, steps and the crops at the edge of the MOC. It is great to see more Wither Woods builds! I think Kaliphlin's border may be moving north soon!

I love all the woodwork and the interior is fabulous.

This is such a lovely and compact build! I really like the door frames as well as the tan ingots. Your color choices for the walls are great. The story is fitting - I'm glad Historica is active off the mainland.
-
Terrific builds! That is quite the variety. Well done and thank you for sharing.
-
Awesome color scheme! I like the double pointed arches over the doors.

910001 - Castle in the Forest Review
jtooker replied to Another Brick In The Wall's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Some interesting parts for me as someone waiting on their copy to be shipped: You will have extra pieces from earlier bags that are used later Instructions are not always the clearest but also have very few pieces per step (and are online only); some small mistakes Lack of piece inventory in the instructions PDF Not as stable as a normal set The video is fairly negative and I think the comparison to 450₤ is a bit unfair - I'm sure those willing to pay that much have already made their decision. But the good parts mentioned (I'll add a few of my own): Looks fabulous Play features are great - especially moving parts & access to interior 6 minifigures Very detailed inside and out Part count is good for the original price While stickers suck, designers were not allowed to create/revive new prints. -
Rich and the Poor The Rich In the morning merchants take their laden carts to the castle. The king and queen spend lavishly for their court. The remains are taken to market for the citizenry to pick over. The contrast between the rich and the poor has never been greater. My part of the “Rich and Poor” collaboration for Brickscalibur. My partner, LegoMocFan created Part 1: The Poor.
