  1. Awesome job! I like the scale of the ship in the background
  2. Had a chance to meet @Vedauwoo at this past weekend's FanExpo Denver where CoWLUG and DENLUG had a display. We may be seeing his return to BoBS in the future
  3. Thanks! The chevrons are just a little sticker I printed onto Avery shipping labels
  4. Thanks! I especially like your use of the torso on top of the trans tiles in the first part of the build - looks great! Hopefully the barracuda aren't too hungry or too big Both builds do a good job of capturing a wild, lush landscape. The nougats and dark orange look good for clay-y soils. A for GoC from me Congrats on striking silver!
  5. Some experimentation with the Bruce Wayne Tuxedo legs hips:
  6. Yes, definitely worth an experiment! Not a big fan of the gold laces on the nutcracker boots, but the hips might be just the ticket if they match up well
  7. Thanks! Thanks! I'm excited to pick this one up from the museum in September so I can have my colors back! Oh yeah size-wise definitely not designed to be a LEGO IDEAS build, just submitted afterward after receiving some prodding
  8. Either that or it's a magic forest - up to the reader
  9. Looking good, @Darnok! Do you have a picture of the whole build you could share? GoC builds have a minimum size of 20x20 and I think you've met that, but would love to see the whole thing together! Thanks
  10. Nice job recreating that classic set, @Captain Braunsfeld! The little brick-built cannon is great
  11. Gorgeous and well thought-out, @omnihash_cz! Great job including those classic baseplates

  16. Captain Featherly overheard his men discussing Private Rudding's predicament. Rudding had his eye on the cooper's daughter, but didn't have the nerve to speak with her. Featherly approached the group and addressed Rudding. "My dear boy, I happen to have heard that the cooper's wife is in need of assistance carrying supplies into their shop from the shed. Be a good chap and go lend a hand." -------------- OOC: An excuse to try using Bruce Wayne Tuxedo hips under the imperial admiral torso. I think the hips do a good job filling out the bottom of the waistcoat!

  18. Thanks @NOD! Thought it would be fun to knock out a little build in a few hours Quite blocky flowers, right? Thanks! Thanks! I grabbed a PAB cup of those clip tiles in sand green a while back and figured they would have a use! Thanks! Hoping to repurpose the base for a Native American build at a show this weekend.
  19. Thanks! Actually, fewer! I used DUPLO in the base and there are a bunch of 8x16 LEGO bricks on top of the DUPLO, which greatly reduced the piece count. Maybe 100 DUPLO bricks, 20 of the big LEGO bricks. The backdrop is maybe 500 bricks. The wagon another 150? Thanks. Yeah definitely was not designed with IDEAS in mind. It is at a museum for the summer, so can't make any tweaks until I get it back in September.

  22. As the 6th Maine headed south away from Gettysburg, Corporal Breckinridge spotted a huge blasted tree trunk that must have caught artillery fire. He smiled and thought to himself, “That must have been a big tree!”. It was the first time he had smiled since the battle had ended.
  23. Nice work, @Spud The Viking! A GoC from me. Love seeing the year built into the front face of the building. I like the light bley bits poking out of the orange, which itself is a fun and unusual color that adds an interesting element to the build. The brick-built windows are fun, too, though I wonder how the children inside feel about being kept behind bars! Good use of clips/bars in the angles around the central roof. Does that hold the roof plates in place? The ground looks very clean and proper, which seems strange to me because I often try to make the ground look weathered. But makes sense for a new building! Overall, nice addition to the education builds of the Brick Seas!
  24. Not at BrickWorld this year due to a crazy work and kid summer camp schedule, but hoping to make it to future ones. Looking forward to seeing your biggest-yet BOBS project!
