  1. The Corlander troops amassed in Spudkirk were mostly camped outside the town, but a sizeable number of officers were billeted in townhouses near the center of town. The townsfolk were glad to host the officers - they felt that much safer from the Lotii having soldiers at hand. -------------- OOC: A quick build to test out some new redcoat microfigs I made last night. To be licensed as a small residence in Spudkirk.
  2. Ye of little faith! I have a plan for that
  3. I clamped a piece of paper sticking out between two plates in the drum, and then also clamped the paper between the minifig's torso and legs
  4. Super impressive @NOD! Both in scale and detail
  5. Nice job! I agree with @Justsomebrix that the BrickWarriors shakos look best on the 95th rifles - having them on both units removes a little of their uniqueness! The classic palms do a great job framing the build and give it a classic feel. Yay Duplo base! Is that both medium nougat and dark orange 1x1 specs in the lower white walls (and normal nougat farther up)? Too bad about the fleshies
  6. Eurobricks member Ayrlego has created a compact jungle fort in his new build Palm Island Outpost, Port Woodhouse. Sail on over to the Brethren of the Brick Seas Forum to explore more of the Garma Keys!
  7. Yes, the chests are new flat lids available in 2022 Harry Potter sets! Thanks! Thanks @NOD! Was super psyched when the new CMF raccoon came with light bley boot pants!
  8. Nicely done @Dreamweb! Yours is lightyears ahead of my earlier attempt! I think integrating LEGO system-sized masts and sails helps a lot, and also covering up all of the DUPLO studs to build up the sides of the hull Will have to give that a try!
  9. Got some hulk hands to use as bushes for micro builds. This is a hulk hand tree WIP I'm planning to use in the background on an upcoming figbarf
  10. I like the shape of the building and the triangular roof for the furnace. Those stem leaf trees take a while, but the result looks good! Compared to your physical brick builds, the photo is more evenly lit and it makes it appear somewhat less lifelike. Fun to see this style of base built digitally
  11. As the warrior mouse tracked the adder along the riverbank, the fur on the back of his neck began to stand out. Asmodeus Poisonteeth was nearby! ------------- Another in my series of Redwall-based MOCs
  12. Great fig posing! The trans red plates in the water plates works really well, and the seawall / building textures are wonderful. I like it every time I see the dark bley for wet wall and light bley for dry wall If the Lotii were recast as pirates this could be submitted to the Licensed Themes Dynamic Actions Contest for PoTC. A from me for GoC.
  13. Redcoat forces battle samurai in the new build Defence of Spudkirk by Eurobricks member Justsomebrix. Join the adventure on the Brethren of the Brick Seas Forum.
  14. Haha thanks. Trees are weird and often asymmetrical (growing toward the sun, blown by the wind, broken in half by children, etc)
  15. The Commonwealth of Terraversa was formed during the division of Terraversa that followed the Second Terraversan War. The new CoT national flag features yellow and red coloring, and that color scheme is reflected in the national troops.
  16. Thanks guys! I started the tree knowing the shape I wanted for the trunk but didn't know what foliage to use. When I saw the dark green bushes in my 'Plants and Animals' bin they looked like needles! Thanks! The black curvy bendies (that's the technical term, right?) in the base are new pieces that came in the mail this past week
  17. The soldier paused for a moment beneath the pine tree to take in the wild scent. When the sun warmed its bark, the tree let off a rich, sweet aroma. What could be better? Since the end of the Second Terraversan War, life in the Commonwealth of Terraversa was charmed. ------------- OOC: Playing around with some new curvy roundies for a base.
  18. Supplies, supplies Those soldiers of the 1.254th look a lot like Altonian dragoons! Hopefully they never meet on the field of battle, as they might find it hard to distinguish who is who Nice job on the toucan and the beach. The brickbuilt sky is fun, too!
  19. Wonderfully done, @Kai NRG! The masonry and upside-down woodwork are top notch. I'd be interested to see what that masonry technique looks like with the colors inverted (light bley for mortar, dark bley for rocks)... may have to try it! The light brick (LED?) is a nice touch
  20. Thanks @Kai NRG! Playing with the idea of making more of these trees as part of a larger forest (got a PAB wall cup of those olive green leaf plants). Part of what I like about yellowish green is how weird and otherworldly it looks... they probably have real ground like that in Iceland
  21. (it isn't that big of an issue and we're glad to have you! Using BoBS lore instead of real world lore will help you get in character sooner.) I think if you post in the Sea Rats intro thread next you can introduce yourself to your future teammates:
  22. Welcome! Glad to have a new Sea Rat in the game! Nice build! I love the olive green you used, and the ground wedge plates! Good story! However, it references real years (1650) and countries (England, Cuba, etc). In BoBS we have made up factions that are analogs for the real world nations. For example, Corrington is the England analog. Could you recast your story in terms of BoBS factions? Also, we use goofy BoBS years: this year is the year 622 (last year was 621). I'm sure some others can step in with suggestions on how to better tailor the story into the BoBS lore. Here is the intro thread that has more info on the factions:
  23. Thanks! The tree was a fun experiment Thanks! They are dark red pad prints The first guy is wearing Dumbledore's hat
