  1. HMS Adder is a 5th rate frigate in the Corlander navy. She is armed with 22 18lb longguns, 16 18lb caronades and 4 swivel breams. She has a crew of 316 men. The sea had been eerily calm over the past day, largely keeping the Adder stationary. Lieutenant Fishbourn consults with Mr. Furlong. While Mr. Furlong wasn't an officer, he had been a sailor for over 35 years and knew how to navigate the Brick Seas better than anyone else on board. "Mr. Furlong, how many days out from El Oleonda would you say we are if the wind picks back up this afternoon?" From the poop deck, Captain Groughland observed Lieutenant Fishbourn talking with Mr. Furlong. The lieutenant was still quite green, Groughland thought - it sure was good to have seasoned hands like Mr. Furlong on board to pass along maritime knowhow to his younger officers. ---------------------- OOC: Submitted to Corrington as a heavy frigate for the GoC Oaken Shield task 3 - Cruisers of Terranova I believe with this task approved I'll have three different GoC tasks completed @Ayrlego @Bregir I've always really liked the 1990's imperial flagship hulls, but the ship seemed super small compared to minifig scale. So I recast the ship for microfigs! It was fun using dark brown with the classic brown and dark gray of the hull pieces.
  2. Lovely! I really like the sand green and medium nougat (?) for the base of the left building, and the angles of the buildings are interesting. Only very minor thing that stands out to me in the inclusion of the palm tree base on the far left. I think if it had been nestled into the vegetation it wouldn't stand out quite so much. Nice showing and good to have ETTC in Queenston!
  3. It is the Napoleon migifig torso from Brickguild
  4. The Grand Review of the Armies was a military procession and celebration in Washington, D.C. on May 23–24, 1865 following the Union victory in the American Civil War. Elements of the Union Army paraded through the streets of the capital to receive accolades from the crowds. Additional photo:
  5. Colonel Beauchamp sighed as he presented his sword to the Union general. "C'est la vie" as his mother had always said. ------------ Playing around with some 3rd party "waist capes" that I think really fill out the uniforms.
  6. Great vibrant colors - nice job on the catamaran! Funny story too
  7. Awesome story in pictures - the brick-built ship looks great! Ice is a great idea and really well executed. The interior scenes look realistic - nice work.
  8. So massive and impressive in countless ways! Awesome job! I've loved watching this come together in your IG story posts. There are a ton of things to love here, but what keeps catching my eye in the railing shape and height on the tower - it's so cool!
  9. Would love to feature a partially restored Trireme at the Museum of Antiquities :D
  10. Thanks all! Definitely fun to experiment with these colors. And I've had some olive green masonry bricks for a while and hadn't used them yet
  11. Thanks for the positive feedback!
  12. Had a chance to stop into the History Colorado Center in Denver this weekend and took a pic of the display
  13. Good question! I just assumed it was :D Had a chance to stop into the History Colorado Center in Denver this weekend and took a pic of the display
  14. Awesome micro! Love it. The windows are so good
  15. Love the use of the underside of the plates and clouds for the backdrop - looks super cool :)
  16. Thanks guys! Didn't want Brickleton to miss out on the action being separated from the main Corrie forces! Here are a few behind the scenes shots
  17. His recon mission completed, Major Brickleton was eager to rejoin the Corlander fleet before the ensuing battle. Word reached Fort Arltrees that the Corlander fleet out of Spudkirk would be headed near the town on its way to El Oleonda that night. In exchange for their horses, Major Brickleton arranged with the local Oleon command to provide enough dinghies to transport the squad of 18th Hussars that accompanied him. With a final wave and shove-off, the group set out in the foggy pre-dawn light to reunite with their own forces. ----------- OOC: An excuse to use my new olive green leaf plates (Groot!) and USB LED stud lights to reunite Brickleton with the main Corlander forces.
  18. Welcome @boeing_787_8_dreamliner / William Parker! @Bregir or @Ayrlego will add you to the various faction chats soon, where you can then discuss giving ships to the faction!
  19. Yes indeed! They come from a LEGO game called "Pirate Plank" https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=3848-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  20. Blueberry Manor, medium artisan licensed for Corrington (via evancelt)
  21. Hilga Duff and her husband Herbert head to town with a few baskets of blueberries. Hilga had loved blueberries since she was child in Belson and had made it a point to transplant some bushes to the colonies. Those few bushes had really taken off, the wet land around Queenston being an excellent fit for the fruit. Though they had named their home Duff Manor, the locals refer to it as Blueberry Manor. -------------- OOC: To be licensed by Corrington as a medium artisan in Queenston @Ayrlego Wanted to play around with a dark azure and sand green landscape! A close up of the windows
  22. As the away team maintained their course to the northwest, Commander Riker squinted into the distance. "Mr. Data, do your tricorder readings still suggest the crashed shuttle is over the next ridge?" "They do, sir, but I'm only picking up Romulan life signs." ------------- A quick Star Trek The Next Generation MOC I made in Stud.io this week while quarantining with COVID. Hoping to get back to physical bricks again soon when I have more energy. Here are some of the Studio part files I created (based on decals from this post by @Hound Knight): TNG Uniform TNG Uniform - Worf Worf Head Data Head
  23. Each domain costs ~$13/year to register so I don't want to add another one to the mix. If you'd like a subdomain of corrington.club or brickseas.net, then I'm happy to host for you (brickseas.net might be a little more faction-agnostic) EDIT: So maybe jeffofclubs.brickseas.net and thomaswaagenaar.brickseas.net? @Jeff of Clubs @Thomas Waagenaar
