  1. Want to host at corrington.club? Happy to provide an account for you. Some BoBs users do that. Hit me up in a PM if you do
  2. Having returned from his reconnaissance mission to observe the siege of Seawatch, Major Brickleton arrives back at the outskirts of Fort Arltrees. While most of the Corlander forces in the New Haven Sea are not in the Oleonese port city, there is a small contingent interfacing with the bluecoat forces. ---------- OOC: Just a small build to see what digital building in Stud.io is all about! Was pretty fun to use, and no disassembly required when it's done! I tried not to use too many crazy colors (I did use 1x2 olive tiles which are official but hard to come by! And 1x1 corner tiles in olive, which I don't think exist yet).
  3. The night watch had spotted campfires on Sugar Loaf the night before, indicating a sizable British presence on the high ground above the fort. Once the British erected artillery, the fort would be indefensible. Aware of the political suicide a withdraw would cause, General St. Clair nevertheless orders his force of continental soldiers away from Fort Ticonderoga. ----------------- An ode to the 45 degree wedge.
  4. Thanks! I submitted this to that 90th anniversary Pirate contest
  5. While impressment is historically accurate I don't think it is in line with our Corrington ethos (especially from our own Corlander settlement! Maybe natives from unexplored islands? Oleonese settlements? ). Perhaps your post could be the sailor's story of how he ended up in the navy and may not reflect actual events? For example he tells his wife he was abducted and pressed into the navy but really he was running away from her cooking?
  6. Excellent work! Interesting figs and the yellow is a great faction color. The foam works really well for the sail material.
  7. Thanks guys!
  8. Great built with so many redcoats! Fun to see the different regiments and uniforms. That hinged rounded roof on the barn-like structure is pretty cool
  9. Thanks guys! I've been finding a lot of inspiration in finding new ways to use parts I have a lot of, and by combining cool techniques I see around the internet with new ones I come up with.
  10. Great question! The shakos and plumes are from some new Chinese-made Napoleonic soldiers from AliExpress

  12. Ever since they'd set up base on Cutlass Island, the living had been easy.
  13. In his new Pirate build Supply Dock at Fort Stockton, Eurobricks forum member evancelt builds a stylish seafront property, complete with fancy envelope tile windows. Explore the Brethren of the Brick Seas forum for more pirate-inspired builds.
  14. Added a closer detail shot to the first post
  15. Thanks! Here are some process shots showing how the envelopes are used in the window. I picked up a few dozen of those tiles on the PAB wall recently Yeah they are fun! I saw you had experimented with them in the past. They end up taking a lot of cheese slopes! Thanks! Here is a process shot of the waterline across the whole build before I added the base and dock. The core of the landmass is made out of Duplo, of course
  16. A dock at Fort Stockton allows the garrison to quickly receive supplies for the fort, medium commerce, Corrington (via evancelt)
  17. A dock at Fort Stockton allows the garrison to quickly receive supplies for the fort. ----------------- OOC: To be licensed by Corrington as a large commerce in Wullham @Ayrlego This build got started around the idea that those light / dark bley projectile shooters looked like wet and dry rock in a single brick. Once the middle rocks were built I then added the basalt columns.
  18. So much action in such a little space! A masterpiece - well done. Not an inch of the build is wasted space. I especially love the saber that is through the yellowcoat in the foreground. His arm is perfectly positioned to hide whatever movie magic is going on behind to make it possible. The swivel bases in your build base look awesome as well.
  19. Nice troop build :) I love the landscape colors, and it has a good mix of tiles and plates. You may be able to lighten the first picture in Photoshop or Lightroom - it looks a little underexposed/dark at the moment. I think you are doing some cool SNOT work on the base but it's hard to make out. Could work for an evening build, though. Lighting in second pic is great. While they are fleshies, still good to see the array of redcoat power - especially classic torsos! My current thinking on boot pants (e.g., on your officer) is that they represent pretty tall boots on soldiers, so by having the officer have them and the rank and file soldiers not it paints a picture of the soldiers with boots under their pants. How civilized A from me for GoC
  20. I think in general you can find bricks that are older than current year (2021 and before) for cheaper on Bricklink. If you get good at searching that site you can usually find sellers that have specific bricks in bulk for cheap prices and have low shipping prices. Some sellers raid the in-store PAB wall and then list items in bulk for cheap. That said, some pieces (like bley 75 deg slopes, nougat/sand blue/olive green colors) are still more expensive on Bricklink and just normally priced on Lego.com. The inverse is true, too, though, as Lego.com charges an arm and a leg for certain parts like printed pieces, glow in the dark and metallic gold colors, etc. While Lego.com has a very huge selection, there are some bricklink sellers that also do! Some BL sellers give you free shipping once you hit a $20 threshold But, you can use VIP points on lego.com for $ off the total... A final thought is if you are looking for older colors like sand red, sand purple, medium green, light green, light gray, dark gray, brown, etc, then Bricklink is your only option :)
  21. Thanks! Clear bricks are an interesting idea - will give it a try, though it would require some reconfiguration of the front stone frame :)
  22. Oh cool would love to see a link
  23. There were envelope tiles on the PAB wall for AFOL day, so trying out a new window technique :D
  24. Agreed, would love to have you in the game @Legostein!
