  1. @Renown has been reliable as far as I remember, so I'd guess something Ponda Baba and Dr evazan related is coming. I can't see one coming without the other either, so I'd guess it's a small set if not the d2c. "Are we blind? Deploy the #wewantagonkdroidbattlepacks!" In all honesty if they don't mind this sort of thing I think it would be a good idea to let them know what the community might want, though definitely not to the extent of the 501st battle pack. It's really interesting to me that they say that not all battle packs have to be army builders, I wonder if they're hinting at something.
  2. @Kit Figsto that'd be a great cantina MBS. I do almost hope the set is just a smaller one though, just because I want to stock up on aqualish heads. For some reason i want a midi-scale landspeeder, like the slave one from cloud city, I'm not sure why. a 501st legion type set for every faction (note: the 2 battle droids in the set are replaced by allied droid-type builds for factions from other eras, just because the resistance, rebels, and first order don't have combat droids the same way the seps do.) All would be $29.99 and probably never be released but I thought it'd be a fun idea. Separatists: Separatist droid legion: 3 b1s, b1 commander, 2 b2s, 2 clone troopers (p2 shiny). Builds are a dwarf spider droid and larger crab droid. Republic: Grand Army of the republic: 3 p2 shinies, p2 commander (grey as secondary color) with new helmet mold with visor, 2 commando droids. Build is an accurately sized AT-RT along with a barricade and BARC with sidecar. Builds use the traditional GAR coloring of grey with red accents. Rebellion: Rebel Alliance troopers: 3 rebel fleet troopers, captain a la captain antilles, astromech droid, and Gonk droid. Builds are a modified x-34 landspeeder with a minigun mounted on the hood like in battlefront two, and a sniper's nest. Empire: Imperial stormtrooper corps: 4 stormtroopers, one with an orange pauldron and one with a black pauldron, as well as 2 KX series security droids. Builds are a speeder bike and AT-PT. First Order: First Order stormtroopers: 3 first order stormtroopers, first order megablaster heavy assault trooper, first order security droid (phasma has one in battlefront two, they're also in an episode of the resistance show), BB-9e. Builds are a treadspeeder and very downsized LIUV. Resistance: 2 human resistance troopers, 1 mirialan resistance trooper, one quarren resistance heavy, bb-3, Gonk droid. Builds are a speeder bike and df.12 com turret. Mandalorians: (note: subdued colors to go along with their appearance in the series). Reddish mandalorian, greenish mandalorian, Pax Vizla-type mandalorian, orange-ish mandalorian, gonk droid, ferry droid. Builds are sized-up versions of the battle pack builds. Scum and villany: human smuggler (dark brown and dark tan, klatoonian thug (dark bluish gray and reddish brown), weequay gangster (dark tan with dark green accents), bounty hunter with a partial set of mandalorian armor (gunmetal, dark brown), and 2 IG units using a mix of dark bluish gray and dark brown. Builds are a swoop bike for the bounty hunter and small encampment. I'll probably do more later, these are fun
  3. The UCS the only other set we know is coming this year besides the 40th anniversary set that may or may not have been a convention exclusive, so either another set is coming or it's the MBS. Could go either way. I'd actually be more excited about the mini-wave, especially if it had a little cantina build with Ponda Baba and Evazan.
  4. This looks great! The techniques and shaping used in the hull of the ship are amazing, and you should definitely be proud of the sloped cabin, it's very well-made. The only thing I would say is the engine diameter might be a bit too big at the front of the engines.
  5. Oh yeah, I know it's the cantina scene where ben slices Ponda Baba's arm off, I'm just trying not to get my hopes up too much. Between the celebration exclusive, rumored $40 set, and possibly this, there's a whole mini wave we might see. The other idea, that the shuttle rumors were false and it's the cantina, would be even better, that'd be an amazing set. Mosaic wise I was thinking p1 clone p2 clone, stormtrooper, FO stormtrooper could work, too.
  6. Agreed, a mix between eras is always nice. Trying not to get my hopes up but... ANOTHER set this year! Either that or it's the 2hy d2c, which would be pretty cool too. *lightsaber noise* *Ponda Baba's arm bleeding on the floor*
  7. The reference book should come out in a few months, I'm sure she'll be in that. IMO this mosaic is better than half the sets releasing this year, not that there are particularly bad sets this year, the mosaic just looks so cool. Can't agree about the battle pack, but I do like the new promos, again with revan as an exception. I've actually been reading up on revan and he's just such a cool character, I hope we get some more KOTOR content in canon now that revan is technically canon. the mosaic has an option for each trilogy.... and the new wave has 4 prequel sets and 2 each OT and ST. (3 if you want to count mandalorian, but I feel like it's sort of it's own thing and not as connected to any trilogy as much as clone wars or rebels) The plurality of sets this wave are prequel.
  8. I mentioned this to you before, but maybe you'll understand the way @jdubbs puts it? Also, the mandalorian battle pack isn't inaccurate, they're based off the show and the green one specifically has had other merchandise for her. I completely agree. It's insane to be upset at a new line for adult star wars fans, one that doesn't take away from the current sets we're getting, because the set you personally wanted didn't come out? In that case, I hate the mosiacs because I'd rather have a rebel friend polybag and a UCS Gonk Droid .
  9. These are both very well done, although I'm partial to the scimitar. One of the best prequel designs ever IMO, and you translated it perfectly at that scale.
  10. So you don't like them because....they exist? I'm not going to try to fight you on the rest of this stuff, but I will say two things you seem to have missed. The mosaics are a new line, and as such we aren't getting less SW sets directly because of the SW mosaics. It's like the brickheadz, brick sketches, etc. I wasn't aware of any plates, cups, etc for lego star wars, but if they exist I would once again say they're not taking spots actual sets would have had. Yeah, they're in some DC set. They're about 20 cents each on bricklink, less than kylo's saber. I bought a few for temple guards a while back. Exactly. the "why would you buy a lego ____ when you can buy a non-lego _____?" makes no sense to me. It's because it's lego.
  11. I hold by the commander in the most expensive set, since he's the highest rank for a trooper, but you're right that not many people actually care about that. I really like the geonosis wave idea, so here's some more sets in addition to the existing ones to fill out a geonosis wave. From previous wave: AT-TE and Hailfire microfighters, duel on geonosis. Updated/new set descriptions: Geonosian starfighter vs jedi starfighter microfighters ($19.99): Obi-wan and a geonosian (no wings) Clone battle pack ($14.99): 3 clone shinies and a clone sergeant. Build is a command center like in clone troopers vs droidekas. (edited to make more realistic build and add replace the captain with a private.) Geonosians battle pack ($14.99): 2 winged geonosians, geonosian (no wings), 2 b1 battle droids. Build is some geonosis spire terrain. Nexu fight ($8.99) Brick-built nexu with Padme and a super battle droid. Droid legions ($29.99): Dwarf spider droid, orray. Comes with 3 b1s, b1 commander, 2 b2s, and 2 clone troopers. (Edited to remove geonosians for a more realistic figure count.) Hailfire droid ($44.99): larger Hailfire droid with Clone Captain, Mace Windu, 2 b2s, and a clone trooper. Battle for geonosis ($69.99): new tank droid design, Ackley, and BARC speeder. Comes with Obi-wan, Pablo-Jill, Clone Commander, Jango fett, Sun Fac, and 2 geonosis b1s. (edited to swap some figures around) Pentaki arena ($89.99): Build with some stands and the gate with balcony above it, as well as the three pillars. There's a separatist meeting room under the stands. Comes with Count Dooku, Wat Tambor, Poggle, 2 b2s, 2 geonosians, Yoda, Bultar Swan, and Anakin. AT-TE ($99.99): AT-TE with Padme, Clone trooper(x6), 2 b1 droids. A rebel friend polybag with a minikit mini build should be the skywalker saga promo. I would totally buy the game for that, and I wouldn't even play the game! I hope the ghost will show up, the b-wing seems almost inevitable too. I would like to see the u-wing UCS too, it seems likely, there's not much else they can do for the OT and anything prequel before they can judge the success of the gunship, which itself won't release until may 2021 at the earliest.
  12. I second that. Thicc separator is hilarious. There's two. The one of vader's helmet only is made from one of the sets. There's a larger one of more of vader that's mader from the parts of 3 sith sets. What would you be wanting the mosiac to do differently?
  13. Thank you! I disagree about rebels, but like you said it's a lego forum so I won't argue on it. I'd much prefer a $200ish gunship that's minifigure scale, but I can't see them doing that for the upcoming UCS set. Yeah, it should just be a command center for the battle pack, the BARC would make it use too many parts. I wanted to keep some lower-ranking troopers for that set because I was thinking if you wanted to make an army, there'd be less commanders than seargents and captains. That said, there'd still need to 9 privates to every sergeant for it to work. Maybe a full geonosis wave could have that ideal 4 p1 trooper pack with the ranked troopers in other sets. The rebel scout speeder is one of my favorite lego sets ever, I have probably too many of the 2008 rebel fleet trooper. Your idea for the remake sounds great, the only thing I'd add would be to give the troopers all a new head that's got the blank expression of the 2008 troops. And for "rebel friend" to be released alongside it in a polybag, of course.
  14. The aesthetic it gets from the studs looks cool too. I really want the large vader mosic, but I can't spend $360 in addition to everything else. It's a good price, but I just can't afford getting that along with the razor crest and CW sets. Why aren't more people talking about this?
  15. I prefer the later kanan, reminds me of Kota from the force unleashed. But I agree we need seventh sister, she's the main antagonist of the second season. Thrawn could use an update with more accurate hair, and Pryce is another major antagonist we don't yet have. Another realistic-ish wave with foci on Geonosis, Endor, and Exogol. Microfighters: Hailfire droid vs AT-TE ($19.99): Clone trooper and geonosis battle droid. TIE Dagger ($9.99): Sith trooper Poe's X-wing ($9.99): Poe Dameron (Pilot) Battle Packs: Endor rebels battle pack ($14.99): 3 rebel commandos (two with the green jacket and one with a tan vest), ewok. build is a speeder bike and small tree for the ewok to hide in. Clone troopers battle pack ($14.99): 2 p1 clone shinies, clone sergeant, clone captain. build is a clone command center and a BARC Duel: Duel on Geonosis ($19.99): Yoda, Count Dooku $30 ish location set: Speeder Bikes ($29.99): 2 speeder bikes and a main build of a tree with a trap for the ewok to set. Comes with Luke, Paploo, and a scout trooper. Other sets: Separatist might ($29.99): Kind of an anti-501st legion set. Comes with a dwarf spider droid, droidika, and a brick-buils Orray as well as 2 geonosians, 2 clone troopers, 2 geonosis b1s and 2 b2s. Battle for geonosis ($69.99): New tank droid design (I MOCed this in the "siege of mandalore wave" thread), BARC speeder and Acklay. Comes with Obi-wan, Padme, Clone commander, clone trooper, Jango Fett, geonosis b1, geonosis b1 commander, and a droidika. Exogol ($79.99): Palpatine's throne, Jar of snokes, palpatine's puppet-like machine thing, area where kylo fights the knights. Comes with palpatine (Reborn, with Zombie expression on one side of head and Reborn on the other), Rey, Ben, and 2 knights. Endor Bunker attack ($119.99): Large Endor Bunker with a speeder bike. Comes with Leia, Han, Chewie, Rex, Teebo, 2 stormtroopers, 2 scout troopers, and an imperial officer. UCS (May 2020): Republic Gunship ($399.99): comes with a clone pilot with new helmet mold, Clone trooper with arm printing, and the fan choice, an updated jedi bob with dual-molded legs.
  16. That's like a UCS level build for the skiff, that's amazing! Quite a lot of detail on it, I like how you used the backpacks for greebling at the back. The outrigger function is great, too!
  17. We totally need a new ghost. If there is a sequel series as rumored, it's a given, but even without it I think there's some hope given that either hera or the ghost have shown up in Rogue One, the Alphabet squadron novels, Rise of Skywalker, various comics, and even Squadrons. I think a new ghost would sell pretty well. What crew would you want in it? Personally I'd want the s3/s4 crew, as I personally liked those seasons better and how they gave some more development to Ezra and Kanan. Maybe they could throw in s4 kallus, too. I managed to snag the 2014 one (no zeb, unfortunately) a few years ago, and there's so many areas with a bit of space under panels. It shouldn't be hard at all for designers to make a bigger interior.
  18. This piece could work, I think it's the same color as the new one. I've got a few to use for clones already, the stubble and sweatband should add variety. @jcn seems to me like he just guessed and it paid off. Most of the figure selection is pretty easy to guess. Unless he had the figures from final dual and the ITS too, he probably just guessed and it paid off.
  19. It depends, are you thinking you'll be able to get the other one before they retire? If no, buy the razor crest, it's less likely to be re-released. Plus, if you don't care about the minifigures, you could probably sell baby yoda for a fair bit of money.
  20. I like this build! It's a great building, but what really makes it great are all the little details like the mandalorians looking at the band poster or the troopers arresting dr evazan.
  21. Welcome to eurobricks, @din0_21! I'm not that good at MOC making, but I came up with 3 solutions. You could put some rounded 1x2 plates with one stud on the 2x4 and one over the hole, then adding 1x1 quarter circle tiles over the hole. I believe that would cover it. This isn't too obtrusive and likely to work but doesn't fit your current angular design. You could put some more angled plates on top of the 2x4 and 8x4 pieces, with the wider end covering the hole. This would keep the design as close as possible to what you've shown but I don't know for sure if it'd work. The third option depends on what your MOC is going to end up being, but you could remove some of those 4x2s to lower it and then stack some plates on that 2x4 and place a tile over the hole. I don't know what your intentions are for the end shape of this MOC though, and it might change the design too much. I hope one of these helps.
  22. I was joking about TPM (I mean it's still my least favorite, but I wouldn't want it to not get any sets). I kind of get where they're going with character selection for the prequel sets, though. both the clone wars sets I think are great in terms of figure selection, although I think both grievous's fighter and anakin's interceptor needed another figure. Maybe Cody and Rex. The thing is they have to focus on giving kids the major characters and not giving us obscure ones like the (it pains me to say this because I really want a lego Wat Tambor) separatist council. I think we'll see more prequel and OT sets for a year or two just due to how recent all the sequel sets are, then we'll see the same amount of sequel and prequel sets after that. Doing some more research, the lack of attack of the clones sets for so long is probably due to clone wars sets having most of the major vehicles and characters, along with p1 clones.
  23. They really did! Super detailed new trooper design, new heads, new mold for the front of the BARC, etc. (Also the mando jetpack in blue, which isn't as big of a deal but I like getting that part in new colors. Now we need a red one!) It's possible. We've had at least one set with a clone trooper every year since 2005, so I'd say we'll at least get something next year, but I do agree this could signal an above-average number of clones in the next few waves.
  24. Same! It wasn't as bad in the earlier sets when they had the smiling variant of the angry clone face, but the skin tone was too light for Morrison's character, it looked off. And then they started only using angry clone, and using it for every single unnamed helmeted character. I'm glad we've finally got some accurate faces, I'm hoping angry clone itself is gone and we start getting other heads for FO/Imperial troops.
  25. We went 10 years without any attack of the clones sets (should have been TPM, it's a far worse film ), so anything is possible. On another note, I think animated series waves are done but I could see a large amount of mando sets soon, past the 3 coming out in september/october.
