I think the best you can do is just wait for it to restock if you want to buy directly from lego. Looks like there aren't any on bricklink in australia except for one $400 more than what lego sells it for. There's one for $660 NISB in france, so with shipping to australia you might be able to get it for around the $800 retail price. -

I'd go even further, 99% of star wars fans had never heard of the sandspeeder. I had just from chance, I saw a video on an AT-IC moc that led me down a wikipedia rabbit hole of all the kenner prototypes. Seriously, why make a set based on an unreleased kenner toy? I'm guessing the battlefront two set didn't sell very well, and that may be part of the reason. Logic? In this thread? Prepare for the force of a thousand fanboys to beat down on you! -
Going along with @TeddytheSpoon and @Kit Figsto’s great waves, another remake wave. microfighters (I do include some differences since they’re recent sets): Star Destroyer ($9.99): Vader X-wing ($9.99): pilot luke AAT vs juggernaut ($19.99): clone trooper (phase 2 41st siege battalion, not camo), tank driver droid. AAT is separatist colors and a very small bit of terrain is included. battle packs ($14.99): rebel scout speeder (I’ve done this before, and others have done this, but it’s one of my favorite sets ever.): updated rebel scout speeder, 3 fleet troopers, fleet captain. clone specialists (combination of Arc trooper v commando droids and the 2007 battle pack): arc trooper, arf trooper, 2x clone shiny. duel: duel on Tatooine ($19.99): maul and Qui-gon. Comes with Yoda, Tarf ful, 2 wookie warriors, a 41st battalion trooper, and 2 b1s. Poe Dameron’s X-wing starfighter ($79.99): the classic orange and black fighter with the 2020 design. I'm surprised no one's brought up the force unleashed set yet. I don't remember the game all that well, but I think it was a fair bit more mature than fallen order. Which, by the way, isn't any worse than your average star wars film. I'm guessing that they have some other reason that they don't want to say for some reason. I agree, I think specifically we've had one TIE a year at least since 2015, always from the new content for either that year or the previous year. (2015= FO specforces TIE-force awakens, 2016=TIE striker-rogue one, 2017=TIE silencer-last jedi, 2018=TIE fighter with solo figures-solo, 2019=Vonreg's TIE-Resistence, 2020=TIE dagger-rise of skywalker). Gideon's TIE is the logical next step, I wonder what light side ship they'll have alongside it, since it's usually a light side and dark side starfighter. I think it's more so that they want the characters to be spread out across waves. -

I'm not really thinking it's going to happen, you're right in that it'd be very unlikely for a licensed game. Their response all but confirms to me that beskar mando's coming in a later set. Smart move from a business perspective, especially if the child isn't in the same set as beskar mando. It looks to me like at the very least fallen order doesn't have any sets in late stages of development. It's possible they have a set in the pipeline, but from the way the designers were talking it sounds like there won't be anything. Which is sad, fallen order is in my opinion one of the best pieces star wars story content since The Empire Strikes Back. -

At this point I'll trust his info, from the video it sounds to me like certain retailers in the US at least may get ahold of it early. I think he specifically says the 501st set and three others he doesn't name, and seemed to imply the date could be as soon as the day of filming the video. So there's still hope for a polybag. *cough* rebel friend and minikit *cough* -

Hasn't it only been the deluxe edition that gets a polybag? Welcome to eurobricks! That's a good find! I'm not personally too bothered by it since it's not that obvious, but good eye! I was looking on bricklink, and unfortunately there isn't anything any more accurate than those legs, either. -
A jabba's henchmen battle pack would be great, it would be the best thing so far for building a scoundrel faction. Another wave, this one with some squadrons content: Microfighters: x-wing microfighter ($9.99): Pilot Luke (old helmet) TIE fighter ($9.99): TIE pilot Poe's x-wing vs TIE dagger ($19.99): Poe (pilot) and Sith trooper. Battle packs: Clone legions ($14.99): 1x coruscant guard, 2x 212th trooper, 1x clone shiny. Build is a correctly sized AT-RT. Rebel Fleet troopers ($14.99): 3x fleet troopers, 1x fleet captain (like captain antilles). Build is a modernized version of the rebel scout speeder. Duel: Duel on Kef Bir ($19.99): Rex and Kylo. Build is the ruins on water. Other sets: Fallen Order ($24.99): The area where the second sister fight on Zeffo happens with a zipline function and rey shield function, as well as Cal, a molded Bd-1, Second Sister, and a Purge Commander. Wheel Bike Chase ($39.99): Grievous's wheel bike and a brick-build Boga with Grievous, Obi-wan, Cody, and a Magnaguard. TIE interceptor ($59.99): Tie interceptor with 2 Tie Pilots (face print is the main squadrons pilot for one and one another of the 5 campaign TIE pilots), a stormtrooper, and Rae Sloane (just labeled as imperial officer on the box.) X-wing ($79.99): X-wing with parts to switch the accent color between red and the dark green Vanguard color. Figures are the main squadrons rebel pilot, Wedge Antilles, and 2 astromechs. TIE bomber ($89.99): TIE bomber with Captain Needa, a TIE pilot, snowtrooper, and Hoth Rebel. Venator ($149.99): Venator star destroyer build in a similar way to the 2014 imperial star destroyer, with interior sections including an artillery cannon, hanger bay area, bridge, and conference room. includes S7 Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex, Yularen, 2 clone officers, 2 clone shinies, and 2 b1s with a droidika build. And while it'll never happen: Ebon Hawk ($159.99): Similar scale to the falcon. Comes with Darth Revan, Jedi Revan, Carth Onesai, Mission Vao, Zaalbar, Bastila Shan, Fallen Bastila, HK-47, sith empire trooper, and Malek.

I'll probably bricklink Reinhardt for light revan, then, and use reaper's head for Darth Revan. Thanks for the suggestion! This is just one more reason we need to see canon Revan in the films, we could get a figure that isn't super expensive!

Death watch 100%, we need figures of the live action ones! There were rumors of a marvel CMF awhile back, if those turn out to be true than I think it's possible lego could have gotten the same thing for star wars. And if they have the ability to make a star wars CMF, they will. Those things would sell exceptionally well, and as a bonus for us fans would be a way to get obscure characters or ones that don't easily fit into sets. #wewanta212thbattlepack! Jokes aside a $15 battle pack with 4 different clone legions would be nice, and seems like it would sell so well, I'm not sure why they haven't done one since 2007. -

Hey, that's true, we could totally see some january 2021 sets revealed! I'm guessing something mandalorian related, they'll want to promote that. I mean maybe it's the most well-known clone legion but I was responding to someone who said that the 501st as the "coolest army to collect" was a fact. Please do not try to argue that the 501st is the objectively coolest faction in star wars, I don't think "coolness" can be factually measured. Besides, the 212th and coruscant guard are better . -
Does anyone know any good purist ways to make Revan? (without using the super expensive parts of the polybag figure, of course!) I've got most of the figure down, but I can't find a good head piece for his mask. If anyone's interested in the rest of the figure, for Darth Revan I've got: Black legs with dark red hips, the back of a sith trooper torso, dual-molded black/light bluish grey arms with light grey hands (for his vambraces), a black cape, and black hood. And a red lightsaber, of course. For Jedi Revan (which as far as I can tell only appears in a black series figure and mobile game, but I thought the concept was cool given Revan's character), I've got: white legs with reddish brown hips, dengar's torso, white arms, reddish brown hands, a white cape, and white hood, with a purple lightsaber.

I don't know about the third, but I don't think the 501st being one of the "coolest armies" is a fact, and I'm not sure many people will buy the set for the sole reason of "supporting" a youtuber. It's not a lego ideas set, he's not getting a share of the profit. Probably the child, if that set's really coming out in the fall they've got to reveal images soon. -

That would be a cool idea, although it might not always be a $30 battle pack but something like your rebel vs stormtrooper example, or just a more minifigure-heavy set. -

This is probably the case. Same here! I think more of these types of sets would be great, I could easily see an imperial one with some small empire vehicles. The thing is there's so many factors you have to take in here. The first, like you yourself say, it's more like 10/38, which is over 1/4th. Doesn't sound highly unrealistic to me. Then you have to take into account the 2012-2013 battle packs with opposing factions. They don't really make those anymore, so I doubt a 501st battle pack would have been 2 501st and 2 droids. There are all these factors you have to consider, such as the uniformity of the faction (a battle pack of tatooine or scarif rebels isn't going to have identical figures, neither would a bounty hunter one or one for the mandalorian covert), but the basic point is that it's not really that unrealistic to expect four 501st troopers, say, 3 privates and a jet trooper. -

I was thinking a similar thing. I could easily see this set without the AT-RT and battle droids releasing for $15, we've gotten tons of battle packs with the same figures before. Either lego was smart and decided to capitalize on the hype by making it a bigger set, the designers just already had a $30 price point to work with, or both. Although I echo @jdubbs's sentiment that this is a pointless debate, In addition to all the ones you mentioned, I'll add the senate commandos set and Infearno squad set as two other example of sets with 3 identical troopers. When you other six examples are added, as well as the ones with 3 or more of the same droid, you've got 10 sets. Then you have to think about sets where the faction's troopers are all different, like the 2015 and 2016 rebel battle packs and the sets where there's only a minor difference between two identical troopers and a third trooper like the hoth rebel or 2015 resistance battle packs. There are also several clone legion battle packs (also some imperial ones) with 2 different types of two troopers each; the geonosis, kashyyyk, and utapau battle packs. (as @Kit Figsto said, there's no way that utapau battle pack isn't a 212th battle pack). And the battle packs with different factions are very outdated; besides the tatooine "battle pack" we haven't had one with different factions since 2013 with the old republic battle pack and clones v droidikas battle pack. So yeah, there's a possibility were it to have been a $15 battle pack that it could have been two privates and two jet troopers, or two privates, a jet trooper, and an ARF trooper. Would anyone really have complained (knowing this site, yes, but they probably complained about the current one too) The main thing, though, is that the one that is actually releasing is a $30 set with some extra stuff, so this whole thing is pointless. -

It's difficult to tell but looking at the images of her and then the images of blue lightsaber-wielding characters from the wave like grievous and rey, it seems to be the trans light blue. Nice! That's what, 66% of the full price? Also what store is this, and can I buy from it in the US? -

I meant on sale like they discount the price, i was quoting someone who said they would buy some for $25 once the winter sets leaked. I went on the lego site the morning they came out and it was already out of stock, I was only able to find them on the target store website and they took weeks to arrive. Not making the same mistake again, I'll get up at 6am if I have to . -
Yeah, it's surprising that with all the kashyyyk sets in the past 6 years we still haven't gotten stuff like the ornitherapter or tank droid since before they started making so many kashyyyk sets. And thank you! I ended up taking a much longer break than I was going to, but I'm working on the headhunter now. Any suggestions are welcome for sets from any era, but here's some ideas I've got. Playscale venator (this will be after the headhunter, probably): Roughly the same size as the star destroyer from 2014. Wookie defense: probably about 500-700 pcs, it'd have an ornitheraptor, wookie hut, and some separatist stuff. Rebel scout speeder remake: battle pack remake, this wouldn't take long so I'll probably just do it in a few days. Again, any suggestions from any era are welcome.

They seem to be used in translucent colors mainly in CMF sets, although there are a few exceptions like construction kylo. It's possible it has something to do with the slightly different plastic used in CMFs. Good idea though, I want to use one of those trans green ones for my yoda now! -

This^ They know the adult demand is there, and kids don't really buy too many multiples of a set anyway, even if it's a battle pack, so by making it $30, they increase profit. And I can't really blame them, they made a set based on a campaign by a minority of their fans, of course they're going to try to max out profit. I don't know that this set will go on sale anytime soon after release, I'm assuming this is going to make the mandalorian battle pack look like a shelfwarmer. -
"Impressive...Most impressive!" that is a seriously impressive model though, it looks like an absolute beast and it doesn't even have the plating yet.

Of course, but they can't say that outright in an interview. A designer saying "Yeah, we just wanted to squeeze more money out of the fans" would definitely get him at least reprimanded by lego. I can't help but agree, I'm thinking that there's more S7 content on the way. I'd say most are army builders of some sort, like there were lots of patrol troopers, imperial officers, etc, even if we didn't see hundreds in that scene. heck, we only see a few scout troopers, but a scout trooper pack would be an army builder. The mandalorian one too, it's just generic mandalorians to mix and match. That said, I agree there are some like the inferno squad and bounty hunter packs that are just for named characters. (even if they made Seyn a guy in the infearno one) -

I'd like that too, but seeing as we're down to two packs a year, I'd prefer it in addition to two army builder ones rather than a replacement. Also I did a similar thing with that set! Bought two, and then parted out the jedi figures for some civilian parts, jedi parts, and mirialan/cereans for my rebels.
