  1. Though I think that is highly unlikely, I would be totally down for it.
  2. Good to hear. But the first wave of Hidden Side sets hasn't even officially released yet, so it's a little to early to speculate about the next wave.
  3. Really? Where did you came up with that from? It was actually pretty popular at the time it was released. @brickvon, really nice review. I am definitely looking forward into other reviews of older sets by you. I am a big fan of Knight's Kingdom, and I will definitely get the set you reviewed when I have the occasion.
  4. There is a whole discussion about this topic on the TTV Message Boards, here is a link if you are interested: http://board.ttvchannel.com/t/310n-discussion-christian-faber/48962/473 It's been a whole lot of debate on there whether this will potentially succeed or not, but I've never seen the fans so excited in a long time. From what I can tell, Faber really wants to take this project seriously, so who knows? Bionicle may not be completely dead yet.
  5. Because you may find something that interests you, if you dig a little deeper. Who knows? You may find a few things that fit in your style of building. I myself found somewhat an interest in the early 2000's Star Wars Technic sets just because I researched it, even if I wasn't really into it. So yeah, I don't see how it wouldn't be the same if other people did the same thing with constraction.
  6. I am in a minority that doesn't like those themes (heck, I might even be the only one). Constraction, on the other hand, is hated by almost everyone outside the Bionicle community. I personally did my research on those themes I did not like, and came with a personal conclusion on them. If those people who don't like Constraction did their research on it, I can almost guarantee they would change their opinion at least a little bit. And I did not disrespect the movies the sets are based on, I just said that those were mediocre movies based on the audience and the critics reception of those movies. So If you think I disrespected them, than go look on the actual reviews those movies got.
  7. At least, I have a reason why I personally don't like those themes. Weather people consider my reasons valid or not, it's a different story. With constraction, on the other hand, people would just hate it for absolutely no reason. As I have said already, I understand that it's not everybody's cup of tea, and that is totally fine, but when people start saying bad things about it just because it's not their cup of tea, that is the point where it starts getting irritating. To put it in @Lyichir's words:
  8. Maybe it does lack some parts some people may want, but hey, you can always combine both of them, resulting in amazing results. They are both LEGO, after all, even if they don't appear in the same types of sets in official LEGO products.
  9. I always found it weird that at almost any item I search on Bricklink, a lot of (if not most) of the stores selling it are from from Netherlands. Apparently, there are currently more than 760 individual stores located in the Netherlands, wich I find quite amazing, to be honest. This is something I always found interesting about Bricklink. Why are there so many Netherlands sellers compared to sellers from other European countries?
  10. Yeah, but even the 2015 ones are quite pricey, even if not as much as the 2016 ones.
  11. Constraction isn't anything less intricate than System or Technic in any way. As @Lyichir has pointed out, they aren't any less specialized than ship hulls, castle windows, etc. And to be fair, from what I have seen, in my opinion Contraction get the most intricate and creative when it comes to MOCing, easily surpassing System when it comes to creative use of parts.
  12. Fair argument, but that still doesn't explain why a lot of AFOLS tend to just say bad things about Bionicle for no real reason. Sure, it's not their thing, and I can understand that. But why say bad things about it and insult the people who like it just because of that?
  13. This is something that has also confused me. If Bionicle G2 really sold as badly as people claim it had, why would it be so expensive on the aftermarket? I mean seriously, who would be crazy enough to pay 100$ on a 2016 Beast from Amazon?
  14. I've seen a few glimpses of it, and it doesn't seem really that interesting. I don't see the point it paying for a magazine (that also gets the news later) when you stay up to date with the news for free from the Internet, and most of the time, the exact same they they surface. Plus the fact that there isn't really any exclusive information in them or anything.
  15. This came as a rather surprise for me, but a welcome one for sure. I will go get it the day one it's released, no matter if it's free or not. I really hope Bionicle makes an aparence in some way, shape or form.
  16. At this point there is no confirmation of a G3, or even if LEGO would be involved in it. Christian Faber, one of the original LEGO employees who came up with the idea for Bionicle, has started teasing a new project made by himself that may or may not turn out to be a G3, but which looks to be pretty amazing from the artworks we have gotten so far. It's unknown at this point if this project would be done with LEGO or independent from LEGO, but all we can do is hope that Faber succeeds with whatever he is planning. If you want to find out more about this, there is a whole discussion about the topic on the TTV Message Boards: http://board.ttvchannel.com/t/310n-discussion-christian-faber/48962.
  17. To be fair I believe almost all the original themes deserve to be revisited in some capacity... But If I had to pick one, it would be without much thinking Bionicle. Sure, we did get the 2015-2016 reboot, but that was very, very mishandled. I would want to see it rebooted in it's authentic form, to the point where it 100% captures the essence of the original.
  18. I don't say they should just straight take after the same aesthetic, just maybe inspire a little bit form it. Like, in the same way Exo-Force was inspired from Japanese manga and anime such as Mobile Suit Gundam and Robotech, but still feels like an original LEGO theme. Although I would personally love to see such a theme happen, seeing Nexo Knights' poor reception by the Castle fans... Yeah, I dunno if Pirates fans would be very happy with it.
  19. I think that partially happened with the 2001 Xalax subtheme, that was about a race among some little alien looking creatures, that could have well taken place on a different planet. I am not sure, but I also think that was confirmed in the 2001 game LEGO Racers 2. As far as my ideas, I have a few: - A Non Licensed Super Heroes Theme. - Space Pirates. Just think about it. Similar to Disney's 2002 movie Treasure Planet (which by the way, Disney wants to forget they even made it) and maybe with a little Nexo Knights vibe to it, I think this could be pretty awesome. - Space Western. This might sound like a dumb idea, but hey, Space Cowboys sound pretty cool to me!
  20. A short lived theme that focused on realistic space rather than the Sci-Fi space we have grown to be used to. While we get a lot of similar to those in LEGO Ideas, I would love it to have it all as a theme rather than a subtheme of Ideas. Really nice sets that you should consider for sure getting if you are a space fan. 7/10 Next Theme: Znap
  21. Amazing! Excellent Idea of making the background out of system and the main figure out of constraction! But where is that Sheriff Star from? And how did you attach it to that Cocoon piece?
  22. Amazing MOCs! Well done!
  23. No, but at least watch a review of the set or something like that.
  24. I can't help but notice how people who are not into constraction constantly ignore it, say bad things about it, or even straight up insult it sometimes. I see people doing LEGO Themes tier lists and putting themes like Bionicle or Hero Factory in the "garbo" tier. MOCers would just completely ignore any constration MOCs, despite how amazing they are. People looking trough old LEGO catalogs would just instantly skip every time they get at the Bionicle/Hero Factory pages, and not even take a small look. All those things really make me angry sometimes. I mean, ok, constraction is not your cup or tea, I get that, but going as far as saying it's garbage just because it's not "real LEGO" is a bit way too far. Something that is brought up against this would be that "people have different opinions". Yes, that is true, but can you really have an opinion if the only thing you know about it is that it's not "real LEGO" ? If you would do your research, read the entire Bionicle lore, and take a close analysis on the sets, and still think it's garbage, than I would respect your opinion. If not, than you are just hating on it for no valid reason. Those people have 0 respect for Bionicle and it's community. The Bionicle community is one of the biggest branches of the LEGO community, and people just insult it for no real reason. That, in my opinion, is worthy of shame, and it's something the really should be changed about the LEGO community. What do you think?
