Stickers isn't a big deal! Or is it?
Lego David replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't mind stickers as long as they make the set look better. Some sets just don't look that good if the stickers aren't applied. As far as how they age, it highly depends of the condition they are kept in. As other people have said, you can have them be even 30 years old and still look as good as they did originally. Though I would probably agree that printed elements are better, I don't think stickers are bad. That doesn't happen with modern sets anymore. -
Hmm... How about a Shopping Mall set? That would be pretty cool.

Well... when people refer to the TLG, arren't they usually referring to the higher ups?

So yeah, Disney lost a lot of the Star Wars fans after The Last Jedi, and that was reflected with Solo's incredible under performance at both the box office, and with toy sales. And the hype for Rise of Skywalker, which releases this December, is close to non-existent. And the early Box Office predictions from experts are also incredibly low. So I am wandering... If Rise of Skywalker ends up failing or under performing, how would that affect LEGO? Star Wars toy sales are very low at the moment, and that affecting LEGO too isn't excluded. After all, the Solo sets seemed to always be on clearance (from what I have heard). What do you think?

What do you mean? Of course they could stop making Star Wars sets if they wanted to. They have full control over their products.

Fans would actually want it to be constraction actually... The problem is that it's uncertain whether LEGO Ideas allows discontinued parts/molds, so making a system project has a much bigger chance of getting approved by LEGO than one made out of Traditional Bionicle pieces.

Not to mention how fast it's been growing. If it keeps growing at this rate, it would probably reach 10.000 in two weeks at most. It's easily one of the fastest growing LEGO Ideas Projects of all time! Yeah... getting it to 10.000 wasn't even that hard... getting it approved would probably be the hardest. In your opinion, what are some reasons you think LEGO would or wouldn't accept it?

A lot of non-Bionicle fans supported the project just because they liked the build, even if they didn't understand what it meant. So a few non-Bionicle fans purchasing it too isn't excluded either.

Those descriptions sound pretty interesting! I can't wait to see the actual sets!

Which is a pretty poor business strategy if you ask me.

Yes.

Do you have any personal opinion on it?

Is LEGO getting to inaffordable for kids?
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well.. if they can't even afford it to begin with, I assume they will get tired eventually. Especially when they have video games that they can play for free. -
I... don't know how I feel about this. The Ninjago Movie and LEGO Movie 2 did pretty poorly at the box office, so I don't know if the LEGO Cinematic Universe business should keep going for much longer. Especially when the movie's only intention is just to promote the sets based on them.

To be fair, it's kinda late for a TV Show now... it should have debuted at the same time as the sets or earlier, but not this late. By then, the interest in the line will probably start to die down. But hey, it's better late than never.

Is LEGO getting to inaffordable for kids?
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A concern I have is how lines like Hidden Side's smallest set is 20$. In my opinion, a 20$ set should be a middle sized set, not the smallest set. The smaller sets should always be 15$ or less. -
Should I edit my initial post?

If you like it, don't hesitate to give it your support it on LEGO Ideas. -
With the recent confirmation that Bionicle is allowed on LEGO Ideas, people started submitting some projects, with 3 currently active ones. Don't hesitate to check out those projects, and if you like any of them, consider giving them your support. The Legend of Bionicle: Celebrating 20 years of LEGO Stories by Sokoda Bionicle: Toa in the Temple of Time by grumblebricks Bionicle Toa Mata by Opi812 What are your thoughts on those? And will you support any of them?

Bionicle fans, you are going to love this one: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/9a9b428b-108e-43bd-8b9e-3fdc7e8ec54a Any support of it would be highly appreciated. -
The original LEGO Pirate ships used special cloth pieces for the sails, but more recent sets (notably 70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow) used brick built sails. Which sails do you think are better and why?

What do you mean? Since when does Apple have control over LEGO's apps?
