    There is a chance we might get a new one-off 18+ set based on LotR at some point, but I don't think we'll get another fully-fledged wave of sets any time soon. Without a new theatrical released movie, I don't think LEGO would consider the IP viable for an entire wave of sets. There is the new upcomming LotR Amazon Prime series, but given the recent rumors that it's going to have nudity, I don't think LEGO would be interested in making sets based off it.

    What do you mean? Chima isn't the type of line LEGO is gonna bring back anytime soon, I don't really think it's an option.

    Well, that may soon change. Given the insane amount of projects that reached 10k supporters recently (and also how fast they did it), it's getting more and more obvious that getting to 10k supporters isn't that big of a deal anymore. Just submit a project based on a popular IP and you're pretty much guarnateed to get the support you need. There have been numerous times when pretty poorly designed projects have reached 10k only becuase of the popular IP they had. And if you have both a well designed project and a popular IP, then you have an even greater chance. So, honestly, taking that into account, submiting projects to LEGO Ideas with the motivation of getting rewards when reaching 10k supporters doesn't seem so far fetched anymore.

    Ironically, Lennox is also the name of one of the characters from Legends of Chima. Amyways, very nice design for a Castle! It looks wonderful!

    When was the last time Legoland did a tie-in with an upcoming LEGO theme? This could very well end up being just a new Legoland attraction, not related to any actual LEGO products.

    Nicely done! While they are all simple CCBS builds, they still look pretty nice.

    The people who "condemned" the modern Space themes were probably just a vocal minority who couldn't take off their nostalgia goggles. Within my age group (people who weren't around when the original Space themes came out), those modern Space themes were pretty well-received.

    Ok, so somebody just did the basically the exact same set idea from Avatar the Last Airbender and still got 10K supporters? I think LEGO Ideas should introduce a new rule against different people submitting the exact same product idea. Otherwise, we'll just end up getting a dozen Avatar projects reaching 10k supporters just because the IP is popular.

    Leaks for the 2021 Ninjago sets have already started to come out, but there is no word on the 2021 Monkie Kid sets. When can we expect leaks for those?

    What are you talking about? Galaxy Squad was AWESOME. The sets and minifigures were fantastic IMO.

    Don't worry... Trolls was intended as just a one-off theme meant to make a quick buck. The line is gonna be completely retired before the end of the year. Overwatch already ended last year, and Hidden Side just got it's final wave of sets this summer.

    As a Middle Earth fan, I already lost all the interest I had in this series. A TV series about the second age of Middel Earth had lots of potential, but from what I hear, it seems like the producers are looking just make some quick cash off a popular franchise. .

    I absolutely agree. LEGO has milked dry the Star Wars IP for quite some time now... There is basically nothing new to do with the theme, other than repeat the same designs over and over again (with a few rare exceptions, like the Razor Crest set). And given how overpriced most of those sets are, It's hard for me to believe that kids are the main target demographic. My local retailers don't even have a whole lot of Star Wars sets on shelves anymore, just a few battle packs and microfighters, and that's it. I think LEGO should take the opportunity that the sequel trilogy is over and release a new in-house Space theme before the next SW movie trilogy kicks off in 2022. But I honestly doubt they would actually do that.

    I am really curious, now that new molds are allowed on LEGO Ideas, will they use this only to create molded heads for licensed characters or will they also create new molds for other types of pieces?

    If I recall correctly there was one back in like 2015, long before the LEGO set would have been in production.

    I really do not like those black box-arts. In my opinion, having a nice looking box art is what makes a product appealing on a shelf, and those new black "adult" box arts look just lame and lazy. I really hope this trend will end sooner rather than later.

    Wasn't the Jurassic Park: T-rex Rampage (75936) from last year also initially from a LEGO Ideas submission?

    If they had plans for making more Spongebob sets, they would have made them already. The Spongebob: Sponge on the Run movie just came out a few weeks ago, and if LEGO really wanted to make more Spongebob sets, they would have made them as a tie-in to this movie. But the movie already came out, so they missed the mark. So no, I don't think LEGO has currently any plans to do more Spongebob sets. I think the main reason why the Krusty Krab set was not approved was probably due to the fact that it has already been previously made in LEGO form.

    So, out of 27 proposals, only one made it? Weird... I was expecting at least 5 projects to get approved out of 27. Trying to predict the projects that will get approved in each review season is getting harder and harder.

    First off, it's spelled "Mermaid", not "Mermand". Second, it's not supposed to be Ariel, it's a different Mermaid .
