Cole Ninjago (from the show Ninjago)
Lego David replied to Pirean_Grammaticul's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I love the idea of recreating a minifigure in the form of a large Brickbuilt figure form. It's something I don't really see very often. -

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Lego David replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This feels like the most random Fan Vote ever. Seriously?!?! Jaws?!?!?! LEGO is contradicting themselves here . If they don't allow Jaws on LEGO Ideas because of "violence", then why should they make a Brickheadz based off it? On top of that, Jaws isn't the type of franchise to make merchandise off of, so LEGO choosing Jaws for a potential Brickheadz set is a really strange choice... The only potential reason that I can think of why they chose it is because Funko Pops, their competitor, is also doing it. As for the other candidates, they just feel like they were chosen at random. I am not going to vote for either of them. -
LEGO Ninjago 2021
Lego David replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I am curious to see if they are going to dare make this set 18+, like they did for pretty much most of the D2C sets this year. I have a feeling there is a strong chance at that, but the Ninjago IP (which is almost exclusively aimed at children) might prevent them from doing that. -
Sure thing! Here is a list of them: - Main body piece - Main armor piece - Cloth element - Face piece - Weapon piece Hopefully this list helps you!

The Overlord Dragon set looks pretty bad, though I guess I can't fully judge until we got higher resolution pics. If it has some interesting new pieces I might give it a pass, but from the current pictures we have, it looks like a massive letdown. Seriously, out of all the Legacy sets, how could LEGO have screwed up exactly the set people were looking forward the most to, of all things?

Yes, it is 100% purist. Although it does use some more obscure LEGO parts, admittedly.

On the topic of who could be a suitable replacement for Kirby Morrow, I would suggest the guy who voiced Morro (the villian) in season 5. He is the only person I can think of that sounds remotely similar to Kirby's voice.

My thoughts exactly. I couldn't have said it any better myself.

I agree with the other people here on the X-1 Changer. I thought the original set looked cool, but this new Legacy one looks awful... a huge downgrade from the OG set IMO. Zane's Titan Mech looks like a good Mech set. It's nice to finally get a modern Mech set that has knees. The large shuriken piece recolored in silver is also nice. But it's a little disappointing that we only got Zane's Mech and not the posessed Samurai X Mech, which was the highlight of the OG set. Those 10$ Battle sets are kind of lame to be honest. Outside of the exclusive Ninja variants, there isn't anything interesting about them. The Boulder Blaster is pretty standard... Just the original set but with a few little modifications. The Tournament of Elements Legacy set has some nice exclusive Elemental Masters which we haven't gotten in minifigure form before, but the build itself is pretty lackluster. Overall, a pretty disappointing wave. The only set I like is Zane's Titan Mech, the rest are pretty meh. Outside of the new minifigures, there isn't much of interest to me in this wave. I am so sick of all those Legacy remakes of the Ninja vehicles (which IMO are the least interesting part about the Ninjago theme). We need either more location-based Legacy sets, like a remake of the Temple of Fire or the Temple of Light, or at least some Legacy remakes of the Villain vehicles (which I always found more interesting than the Ninja vehicles, personally). So yeah, the Legacy sets have been pretty disappointing, but let's hope the S14 story sets are going to make up for that.

Unreleased Knights Kingdom Polybags

Wow, this is very interesting. I never knew about those cancelled KK2 figures. They have some really interesting recolors, It would have been cool if we actually got them. -
I'd change the color of the cockpit to trans ornage, in order to match the Mars color scheme better.

[MOC] Orgoroth, Ruler of the Underworld

Thank you! Yeah, sadly my camera isn't the greatest, hence why the black details kinda got lost in photo. -
My guess would be 150$, based on it's size and how expensive the Monkie Kid sets generally are.

My first ever attempt at a large scale Titan MOC. While it's certainly not perfect, for my first attempt at this kind of build, I think it came out pretty well. The MOC measures around 40 centimeters, and was built around the Bignicle Frame.

But then again, LEGO also made plenty of other niche licensed CMF series (The Simpsons Series 2 comes to mind), so a Ninjago series with a few niche characters wouldn't be so far fetched. They just have to make sure they draw in the main target demographic: kids. That is something I feel like Ninjago has over other licensed CMF series, which most of the time only AFOLs actually really care about.

Ok, that's such a weird looking vehicle... I can't even tell what's supposed to be. I am glad to see the return of the Spider-Queen, though. It seems like she also got a few goons for her this time around!

Great MOC, I love that head design!
-
That looks pretty cool, I like the use of the Hero Core parts as bullets on the ammo belt.
-
I am hoping this line will be more like the LEGO Vikings line, with heroes going against giant brick-built mythical monsters. That would be very cool.
-
What makes you so confident about that, if you don't mind me asking? Other than some vague rumors, no reliable leakers have gotten any info regarding a new upcoming theme.

Excellent MOC, I love the use of the Raised Baseplate!

Is LEGO using the 18+ rating wrong?
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can get behind the idea that 123 Sesame Street is made in order to attract nostalgic adults, but that still doesn't explain a set like the Elf Clubhouse, which is a set I am pretty sure anyone can enjoy, regardless of age. Yes it is. That's one of the reasons why the 18+ rating confuses me. If they really wanted a Sesame Street set that could pass as "18+" they should have made it more like a modular building and less like a playset (like the original LEGO Ideas submission was, for that matter). -
It seems like the new 18+ set rating that LEGO just introduced this year is being used in a pretty strange way. I can understand marking sets like the Mosaics or the Busts as 18+, since they are mostly display pieces that kids probably won't be interested in. Or sets like the Technic Lambourghi Sian, which are very expensive and compilcated to build. But on the same time, they also marked sets like the Elf Clubhouse and 123 Sesame Street as 18+, despite them being sets that could very easily appeal to a general audience. Let's face it, Sesame Street is a puppet show that was mostly intended for little kids, yet they advertise it as "+18 set". It's not even a very expensive or complicated set, so I fail to see why it would be marked as 18+. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think those sets should or shouldn't be marked as 18+?
