  1. As the 10298 Vespa has been announced, the new wheel and tire seem to be a really great addition. Dimensions should be about 9 studs in diameter and a width of 2.5 studs, so about the size of the Arocs wheels. As the wheels hubs of the 42130 are used, we get the typical 3 or 6 pinholes connection in the wheel. With this size, I think it would be perfect for some older classic cars in 1:10 or 1:12 scale:
  2. Mostly I agree, but there are some marbles like the F355 or the California. I think the rear end grill will just be a sticker sheet or made with system bricks :D
  3. Great review as all times :-) I completely agree with you on the functionality. This is a real good technic set and perfect combination of form and function.
  4. Looks really good! Did you try it with real parts? One thing: The lower liftarms with ball joints are angled, so the wheel hubs are angled, too. As the connecting liftarm between them is connected with pins, is there too much friction/bending of the pins?
  5. Could the mounting of the motors onto the black connectors result in some displacement/misalignement by torque and therefor cause friction on the middle axle? I am not that experienced in electric components, so I could be wrong.
  6. Sariels and Balages reviews are out, nice parts, not-so-nice technic set :-)
  7. Regardless of the style of presentation in the video, the 42133 is a rock-solid model. The chosen colour is not everybodys favorite but I dig it. The function of tipping the forks is nice, but in my opinion a little bit unnecessary for this scale and kind of strange here: There is no lever or gear to change the angle but only the joints itself...? In contrast to the 8045, this is a big step forward, as the steering is always a major plus for playability. It's a must-buy for me :-)
  8. One word: Underwhelming. I really hoped for a surprising detail, but this comes down to the easiest unimaginery functions ever. Very sad....
  9. So my guess was right :-) The colour choice however is really odd. Why oh blue and not only that but two tones of blue? Or is this just the first version and the actual ones are orange like in the 360° pic of the 42140?
  10. I didn't know anybody did this before, very cool and waaaay more complex than my attempt! Just whoa! The plan is to try the vertical articulation, but I have no problem to skip this, when it seem too wobble in this scale.
  11. Thanks for the comments, guys! I just tried in stud.io and many pieces are limited to black, Panel#1/2, the flip-flop liftarm and 2x3 extension panel for the front support :-/
  12. Hi guys, as I've currently passed a road construction site, I had a glimpse of a machine I've never saw in this very configuration. As I reserached for this Mecalac 12MTX, I was so impressed about the versatility, especially the boom, I just had to build it. The 42122 Jeeps tires fit so perfectily here (down to the exact number of 16 ribs), the scale was already set in my mind. The length of the availabe 1 stud wide pneumatic arms just didn't match quite well, so I am now tinkering with The geometry of the curves however is very hard to recreate with only technic panels, so I had to move to system pieces. As I already did my Liebherr L518 in yellow and DBG, I know selected black, but maybe switch back, what do you guys think? Here is the current state:
  13. You could be right, but the thing is: I can only count 6 on the outer ones and the inner gear seems way bigger as it nearly touches the upper liftarm. Could all well be optical displacement, though. Maybe TLG messes with us and gives us uneven or prime-numbered gears for better wear and tear :D
  14. Hi and welcome to the forum! :-) Your solution may work, but most of us prefer to use only brick-friendly (legal) solutions, at least for the majority of the built. The use of straps, glue or other additions are not that welcomed as they can damage or break pieces. The use of extra additional pieces mostly comes down to rubber bands, strings. However, never let you spoil your fun in building and experimenting as you like! :-)
  15. Still unsure. Could be re-coloured 16T gears, but somehow the outer ones looks smaller than the inner ones. So maybe a couple of 12T and 20T but spur gear instead of bevel gear? Pic from @R0Sch :
  16. Nice one! Grohl did a very similar B-model: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-92394/grohl/mercedes-benz-g-wagen-42129-b-model/#details
  17. Would be the opposite of what @Rusty43 like to achieve... More speed means less torque.
  18. Here are some comments found about this thing: "Since we use the PuppyTrack EVO, our safety increased about 34.52 %" - IndustryGuy69 "I prefer this over my McLaren any time." - NotLewisH "The new colour scheme is great!" - RayChar Jokes aside, I really like simple but consistent builds like this, great job :-)
  19. Thank you very much for the hosting and all votes. Congratulations @2GodBDGlory and @Samolot ! It was a really close call between us, but well deserved for the winners :-) Looking forward to the next contest!
  20. Are the fender panels the same size as the 3x5x3?
  21. And combine harvesters too! Dual-cabin design from my former university: @Jurss Sry to occupy your thread for this off-topic :D
  22. Love the idea! :-) I think the front is a little bit too heavy because of the servos. How much weights you custom battery box and the whole vehicle?
  23. Packed to the max, great idea and execution! Video wanted! :D
